Alessandra Ferri è uno di quei nomi che hanno bisogno di ben poche presentazioni. Un’autentica icona della danza con alle spalle una carriera di quarant’anni che l’ha portata ad essere considerata internazionalmente una delle più importanti ballerine drammatiche del nostro tempo. Quattro decenni di grandissima carriera artistica nei quali l’étoile ha lavorato con alcuni tra i più grandi coreografi del nostro tempo (Sir Frederick Aston, Sir Kenneth McMillan, Roland Petit, John Cranko, John Neumeier, William Forsythe, solo per citarne alcuni), esibendosi sui palcoscenici dei teatri più prestigiosi al mondo e facendo incetta di illustri premi e riconoscimenti: dal Sir Lawrence

Olivier Award al Dance Magazine Award e al Benois de la Danse, arrivando fino alla nomina a Cavaliere della Repubblica ricevuta nel 2006 dall’allora Presidente della Repubblica Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. Insomma, in poche parole, una vera e propria leggenda. Per celebrare questi 40 anni di carriera, Alessandra Ferri ha deciso di confrontarsi con L’Heure Exquise, variazioni su un tema di Samuel Beckett, “Oh, les beaux jours”. Uno spettacolo creato per Carla Fracci e Micha Van Hoecke nel 1998 dall’indimenticato danzatore e coreografo francese Maurice Béjart e che vede ora protagonista sul palco Alessandra Ferri insieme a Thomas Whitehead, danzatore del Royal Ballet.

Alessandra Ferri is one of those names that needs little introduction. An authentic dance icon with a forty-year career that has led her to be considered, on an international level, one of the most important dramatic dancers of our time. Four decades of great artistry in which this first ballerina has worked with some of the greatest contemporary choreographers (Sir Frederick Aston, Sir Kenneth McMillan, Roland Petit, John Cranko, John Neumeier, William Forsythe, just to name a few), performing on the stages of the most prestigious theaters in the world and collecting illustrious prizes and awards: from the Sir Lawrence Olivier Award to the Dance Magazine Award and the Benois de la Danse, as well as her nomination as Cavaliere della Repubblica or Knight of the Republic, in 2006 from then President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. In short, an authentic legend. To celebrate these forty years of her career, Alessandra Ferri has decided to take on L'Heure Exquise, variations on a theme by Samuel Beckett; “Oh, les beaux jours”. A show created for Carla Fracci and Micha Van Hoecke in 1998 by the unforgettable French dancer and choreographer Maurice Béjart and which now features Alessandra Ferri on stage together with Thomas Whitehead, dancer at the Royal Ballet.
