Cold temperatures and high winds have created beautiful ice formations along the shores of Shell Lake. The above photo was taken Monday, Nov. 21. Below, a photo of ice formations along the northeast shore of Shell Lake was taken Saturday, Dec. 19. The warm weather melted the first ice formations, and the recent brief cold snap and high winds created new ones nearly a month later. — Photos by Bruce Koehler
