The Shell Lake State Bank made a $1,500 donation to the Shell Lake Arts Center. The Washburn County Highway Department had three GeoVision cameras to assist in weather conditions. The cameras were located at Lakes Co-op in Stone Lake, at the town hall in the Town of Chicog and in the Town of Barronett. Jessie and Matt Parker, Somerset, received a check for $2,500 from Shell Lake Lions member Dr. Jeff Dunham for being the end-of-the year calendar winners. Matt is the son of Joni and Mark Parker, Shell Lake. The Shell Lake City Council approved a recommendation for a mural to be installed on the city hall building. The mural would be funded by a grant the school district was awarded to be used for enrichment projects. The council approved the hiring of Stefanie Naessen to replace Connie Quam as the city clerk-treasurer. She would begin her position on Feb. 1. Quam would retire in May. Through Prairie FireTheatre, Shell Lake students put on a production of “Peter Pan” at the Shell Lake Arts Center. Carrie Robillard, Farmington, Minn., daughter of Jim and Shirley Lewis, was the $500 early-bird Lions calendar winner. Courtney Melton and Amber Anderson, Shell Lake FFA, attended the Wisconsin Association of FFA Half-Time Leadership Convention in Stevens Point. The Shell Lake Education Foundation sponsored the Dad’s Belgian Waffles meal at Shell
