The Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) is the world’s largest music competition for bands playing their own material LIVE. From Europe to Asia, Africa, Australia, the Americas and the Pacific, we gather the best new bands from hundreds of local and nationwide live music competitions around the world in a thrilling showdown of raw talent and showmanship – at the GBOB World Finals. GBOB was founded 2004 in the UK. Having started with a roster of 16 countries, the number of participants/ partners has now grown to 25. In 2010 alone, an estimated number of 12,000 musicians performed during the competition, spread across 200 concerts worldwide.
