HEAD COACH KRISTEN CRAMER One of the most versatile players to come through the Grove City program in recent memory, Kristen Hughes-Cramer enters her first season as head coach after spending the past five seasons as the Wolverines' assistant coach. Hughes-Cramer aims to lead Grove City back to the elite of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. As an assistant coach, Cramer worked with multiple aspects of the program, including outfield development, hitting instruction and defensive positioning. She earned four letters at Grove City from 2005 to 2008 while playing both in the infield and the outfield. She started 97 career games for the Wolverines and led the team in hitting as a junior with a .378 average. Cramer also led the team in runs, total bases and on-base percentage during that 2007 season, earning Second Team All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honors for her efforts. She earned Dean's List honors and also landed on the PAC Academic honor roll during her career. Cramer graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Spanish in 2008 and completed her master's degree in sports management at nearby Slippery Rock University in 2009. Cramer also serves as the assistant women's basketball coach and as an assistant professor of exercise science and physical education. She lives with her husband, Mike, in their native Grove City.

GROVE CITY COLLEGE
SEASON PREVIEW
SEASON PREVIEW Familiar faces abound for the Grove City College softball team as the Wolverines prepare for the 2015 season. Grove City returns a dozen letterwinners, including nine regular starters, for its 36th season of intercollegiate play. Even the new head coach is familiar with the program - longtime assistant coach Kristen HughesCramer has taken over as the program's eighth alltime head coach. Hughes-Cramer will rely on a five-player senior class to help lead the 2015 Wolverines back into the upper echelon of the Presidents' Athletic Conference. Behind the plate, senior catcher Sarah Morris returns for her fourth season as the Wolverines' starter. Morris led Grove City in runs batted in last year and will likely be a key offensive threat in the middle of the order again this season. The Wolverine infield also returns intact with returning starters at each of the four positions. Up the middle, seniors Kelsey Shirey and Allison Rayburn return at shortstop and second base, respectively. Shirey is a three-time All-PAC selection while Rayburn has also started in each of her first three seasons at Grove City.
Sophomore pitcher Erika Aughton will be a key part of the Grove City pitching staff in 2015. She earned AllPAC Honorable Mention following her freshman year.
Shirey hit .468 last season and will be a force in the middle of the lineup while Rayburn returns in the leadoff spot. Rayburn has ignited Grove City's offense throughout her career and is expected to do so again in 2015. At third base, sophomore Alaina Kunselman took over as the starter early in her rookie season and she will again look to solidify the Wolverines at that position. Across the diamond, sophomores Erika Aughton and Katie Watts both played extensively at first base last year and are expected to split time there again in 2015 when not in the pitching circle. Like the infield, Grove City returns an intact outfield with senior center fielder Caitlyn Vidovic being flanked by junior left fielder Megan Lynskey and senior right fielder Erica Gmuer.
Junior outfielder Megan Lynskey is a two-year starter for Grove City.

SEASON PREVIEW
Vidovic will be entering her second season as a full-time starter while Lynskey and Gmuer have been lineup regulars since their respective freshman seasons. Junior Emily Rothbard and sophomore Madison Brubaker are also returning letterwinners who will compete for time in the outfield this spring. Both players saw action in the outfield during the 2014 season. Grove City's pitching staff returns intact this year as five hurlers who saw action in 2014 are back. Aughton earned All-PAC Honorable Mention after compiling a 2.22 earned run average last year. She led Grove City in wins and innings pitched in 2014 and will be counted on again this season. Watts made 11 starts and walked only nine batters in 56 innings last year. Meanwhile, fellow sophomore Aimee Wootton pitched in 15 games during her freshman season and is also expected to again be an integral part of the pitching staff. Rothbard and Vidovic have also pitched during their careers and could see time in the circle if needed. Freshmen Michaela Cashmer, Lauren Hughes and Breanna Lent are all expected to challenge for playing time this season. Grove City opens conference play March 28 at Saint Vincent.

THE PRESIDENTS’ ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Geneva became eligible for conference titles in 2011-12. The PAC annually crowns champions in 19 sports. All-Conference status is awarded in all 19 sports. Head coaches select all-league squads for all team sports, while in individual sports such as cross country and tennis, all-PAC accolades are based upon performances at the conference championships. The PAC annually awards its men’s and women’s All-Sports Trophies to the schools which perform best across the board in conference competition. Grove City won the Women’s All-Sports Trophy for the 2012-13 academic year while Washington & Jefferson earned the Men’s All-Sports Trophy. In 2013-14, the league named a conference-record 902 student-athletes to the PAC Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes all participating student-athletes who attain a term grade-point average of 3.60 or above during their semester of competition.

PRESIDENTS’ ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Founded in 1955, the Presidents’ Athletic Conference continues its mission of promoting intercollegiate athletics and the pursuit of academic excellence. Comprised of 10 select private colleges and universities - Bethany College, Chatham University, Geneva College, Grove City College, Saint Vincent College, Thiel College, Thomas More College, Washington & Jefferson College, Waynesburg University and Westminster College - the PAC remains a unique organization in this day of high-pressure intercollegiate athletics. With academics at the center of each member’s philosophy, the PAC is built on the principle that an athletic program is a part of college life, but not an entity in itself. During the 2005-06 academic year, Chatham, Geneva and Saint Vincent all joined the PAC. Chatham competed for PAC championships for the first time during the 2007-08 academic year. Saint Vincent first competed for conference titles in 2010-11.

2014 REVIEW
2014 REVIEW
The 2014 season proved to be one of growth and transition for the Grove City College softball team as the underclassmen-driven Wolverines established a foundation for greater successes in the future. Grove City regularly featured nine - and often 10 underclassmen in the lineup during 2014. Numerous players turned in notable performances throughout the Wolverines' highlight-filled season. Junior shortstop Kelsey Shirey led the Presidents' Athletic Conference with a .468 batting average and her .727 slugging percentage also topped the conference. She earned All-PAC honors for the third consecutive season. Freshman pitcher Erika Aughton emerged as the ace of a rookie-dominated pitching staff and posted a 2.22 earned run average, which ranked fifth in the conference.
Second baseman Allison Rayburn led Grove City with 19 runs scored in 2014. She started a team-high 31 games and ranked second on the team with 42 total bases.
She earned All-PAC Honorable Mention from the conference's head coaches. Meanwhile, fellow freshman Aimee Wootton held opponents to a .244 batting average against - the fifthlowest mark in the conference. Junior catcher Sarah Morris hit .342 and led the team with 19 runs batted in while junior second baseman Allison Rayburn led Grove City with 19 runs scored. Grove City closed the season in strong fashion by winning eight of its last 12 games, including conference sweeps of both Thiel and Chatham. The Wolverines also earned critical conference splits with Waynesburg and Westminster during the second half of the 2014 season.
Senior Baylie Jones started 19 games in 2014 and finished the season with a .328 slugging percentage, the fifth-highest mark on the squad.

Kathie Brandt ’82
Following her freshman year, Kathie Brandt became instrumental in making women’s softball a varsity sport at Grove City. The inaugural softball squad took the field in 1980 with Brandt at first base and batting cleanup. She led the team in runs batted in all three seasons and received All-Women’s Keystone Conference honors three times under head coach Don Lyle.

She captained the team twice and led the conference in home runs and runs batted in as a senior. A strong post player for head coach Terry Ellis on the hardwood, Brandt helped the cagers post a 67-11 overall record and earn four WKC titles.
On the basketball court, Wetzel engineered the offense at point guard all four years. During her career, the Lady Wolverines secured four WKC titles and finished 66-12 overall. She graduated in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. 2008 INDUCTEE

ABOUT GROVE CITY COLLEGE
ABOUT THE COLLEGE
The beautifully landscaped campus of Grove City College stretches over 150 acres and includes 28 neoGothic buildings. It is considered one of the loveliest in the nation. While the College has changed to meet the needs of the society it serves, its basic philosophy has remained unchanged since its founding in 1876. It is a Christian, liberal arts institution, dedicated to the principle of providing the highest quality education at the lowest possible cost. Wishing to remain truly independent and to retain its distinctive qualities as a private school governed by private citizens (trustees), it is one of few colleges in the country that does not accept federal funds. Affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), but not narrowly denominational, the College believes that to be well-educated a student should be exposed to the central ideas of the Judeo-Christian tradition. Grove City College offers undergraduate degrees in liberal arts, sciences, engineering, business, and music and is distinguished as a national leader in education. Grove City’s programs in electrical and mechanical engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission Board of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. The “big business school curriculum” prepares students for today’s global business reality. An extensive variety of internship opportunities are provided across the curriculum. Grove City College wants its students to be prepared in this age of mobile information technology. Each entering freshman receives a tablet computer which is his or hers to keep upon graduation with a four-year degree. This is part of the Information Technology Initiative, a total program integrating technology across the curriculum.
PROGRAMS AND MAJORS
Grove City College’s Breen Student Union
The College believes that its student body has a unique mix of talents and abilities. Its Career Services program helps students identify those key assets during the first year and then builds a four-year strategy to help them pursue a satisfying career. Personal counseling, professional speakers, databases, alumni contacts, summer internships, corporate visits, employer presentations and more are incorporated into the career preparation experience. Grove City follows the semester calendar plan, in addition to offering two-week sessions in January and May. Most of the 2,500 students live in separate men’s and women’s dormitories. The rest are local commuters or married students. A full program of cultural, professional, athletic and social activities is offered, including 19 intercollegiate varsity athletic teams. Grove City, a town of 8,100 people, is located 60 miles north of Pittsburgh. It is located near Interstates 79 and 80 and has a municipal airport.

ATHLETIC FACILITIES
All 19 of Grove City College’s intercollegiate varsity athletic teams utilize the College’s superior facilities for competition, practices and off-season training and conditioning. Grove City’s athletic facilities have undergone numerous renovations and improvements in recent years, with more upgrades scheduled in the immediate future. On lower campus, Robert E. Thorn Field is home to the College’s football and track and field teams. The College installed CSTurf at Robert E. Thorn Field. CSTurf is a synthetic playing surface that features polyethylene LSR grass fibers and a rubber infill system. The College also installed lights and resurfaced the 8-lane track around the field. Grove City also reconfigured its setup for track meets during these renovations. In 2011, the College installed a new state-ofthe-art scoreboard and new bleachers on the visitors’ side at Thorn Field. These upgrades benefit the entire campus community as the complex is used by both the College’s club sports teams and its intramural program, along with the varsity teams. The track is also available for use by recreational walkers and joggers. The complex also features 10 all-weather tennis courts next to the stadium. Phillips Field House, located at the north end of the complex, features several locker rooms, an athletic training room, meeting rooms and coaches’ offices. It is used by the football, track and tennis programs throughout the academic year. The Physical Learning Center (PLC) houses the Grove City College Arena, home to the College’s basketball and volleyball programs. In summer 2012, the College renovated the Arena by installing new lighting and a new playing floor. In recent years, the Arena has also received new scoreboards and scorers’ tables.

In addition, the PLC features the James E. Longnecker Pool, one of the premier aquatic facilities in the region. Each year, Grove City hosts the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at the state-of-the-art facility. In 2012, the College also hosted the Collegiate Water Polo Association Division III Championships at the James E. Longnecker Pool. The PLC also features a second pool, the Recreational Pool, which is used by members of the College community year-round. A fitness room featuring aerobic and Cybex equipment and a separate weight room with free and mechanized weights are also keystone areas of the facility. The PLC also features six racquetball/handball courts as well as two adjacent intramural rooms. The intramural rooms feature four basketball courts, four indoor tennis courts, four volleyball courts, an indoor track and two indoor jumping pits. The College installed new synthetic flooring and several new electronic scoreboards throughout the intramural rooms. The Physical Learning Center houses the athletic training room, locker rooms and offices for coaches and physical education faculty. The College recently constructed a new office suite for coaches and athletic administration, while also incorporating its Athletic Hall of Fame area. Grove City’s outdoor athletic facilities have also received numerous upgrades in recent years. The varsity soccer field, College Field, was expanded and re-sodded during the summer of 2005.
