WELCOME !
What is FBLA? Future Business Leaders of America is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) education association with a quarter million students preparing for careers in business and business-related fields. The FBLA concept was developed in 1937 by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner. The first high school chapter was chartered in Johnson City, Tennessee on February 3, 1942. The national board of directors is comprised of local teachers, state educators, business leaders, and the division presidents. The FBLA Mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovation leadership and career development programs. We bring our mission to life through the application of our Motto: Service, Education and Progress.
Welcome to the 2013 Gold Coast Section Leadership Conference! This conference is about networking and meeting competitive business leaders like yourself. Today, you will have the opportunity to meet over 500 members that share your interest for the business world. It is said that the best way to predict the future is to invent it. Therefore, I challenge each and every one of you to set greater goals and go above and beyond your own expectations. Learn from others, attend informative workshops, and make this day your shining moment – because today, you are influencing the future. On behalf of the Gold Coast Section Leadership Team, I want to thank you for continuing Gold Coast’s success in high membership and participation in projects. Your efforts have truly made Gold Coast amazing. As a Section, we are moving forward and Pioneering Possibilities. However, our work is not over, as we still have the State Leadership Conference and National Leadership Conference to showcase our abilities. I look forward to seeing many familiar faces next month in Santa Clara to represent Gold Coast. Good luck on your competitions and have fun!
Jane Chen 2012-2013 Gold Coast Section President
