In the Sticks is a new indie-alt music festival hosted in Des Moines, Iowa and they needed a logo as well as collateral. This festival’s target audience is young women ages 18-32 who love music and colorful aesthetics. I created an emblem that is appealing to that target audience as well as merchandise that would be sent to all of the guests that purchase a ticket. Since the event is sponsored by Lyft, they requested that their logo be placed on some of the merchandise.

Brother and sister duo, Lucy and Marco, needed a rebrand for their ice cream truck and wanted a type-heavy logo without illustrations of any frozen treats. They also wanted the logo to have an American style so I decided to go with an American traditional tattoo-style typeface. I also added the devil as the mascot as a play on the word “nice.”

Sauce Factory is an American food company that only uses American-grown products to create their hot sauces. They needed a rebrand and a new logo to stand out against the competition. I created a hand-drawn logo to capture the ruggedness and edge that I wanted to give this brand. Along with the main logo, I created 3 variations to show their 3 main flavors. These logos were then applied to new packaging as well as poster advertisements.

Sauce Factory later requested that I make products for their trade show booth and develop 3D mockups. They wanted a booth that would be eyecatching and that exhibited their products in an intriguing manner. The company requested basic trade show products such as a table, banner, and background as well as some merchandise that complemented the existing branding.

Sauce Factory was pleased with their trade show collateral and then needed a presentation created to show their branding and the price breakdowns of the merchandise and collateral that will be displayed at the trade show. I put together this presentation and researched the prices for the collateral to be made and created estimates for how much product will be needed.

website redesign
The music publication company, Pitchfork, requested an updated website that was cleaner and less busy. Their current layout is simple, but is too crowded and can be overwhelming with the amount of cover images they use for all of their articles. I kept their black and white color scheme so that it is easy to read and also so that the images can pop.

guerilla advertising
I was appointed to create a campaign for Crayola that would inspire children to color outside of the lines and express themselves however they wish. For this campaign, I utilized guerilla advertising to amplify the intended message and make a point to society. I chose a billboard and a mural as my advertising mediums as they are the most eye-catching to both children and their parents.

jane eyre
book cover redesign
I created a new book cover for Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë for Penguin Publishing Group. For this cover I wanted to utilize symbolism to entice a possible reader into reading the novel and question the importance of the cover. I illustrated a dove to symbolize the feeling that Jane has throughout most of the novel, which is the feeling of being trapped like a caged bird. I also incorporated a crossroads sign to symbolize the five places that Jane travels to as well as her feeling of being lost.

As a Design Intern at Prisma, I was tasked with creating a wedding invitation and rehearsal dinner and welcome drink invites. The couple wanted a woodsy and rustic feel to their invitations to reflect their ceremony in Lake Tahoe. They sent me a painting that they commissioned from Wes Bruce to use for inspiration and from that painting I created a seal that is placed on the back of all the invitations.
