Pre-production and Illustration
Character Design and Development
Steampunk Astronomer Commission
This is a commissioned piece designed after a client’s cat. They requested she be designed to reflect the appearance of a steampunk astronomer. They also requested that they wanted her telescope prop designed, as well as her compass, pocket watch, carrying case, and belt bag.
Telescope Prop Design
The telescope was requested to be created in a style to match the outfit of the character, hence the different color variants. This telescope was designed to appear handmade with love, but not the highest skill set to aid in the insinuation that this character made it while fueled with passion, not expertise.
Fusion Dragon Design
This creature design is the result of a fusion challenge. In this assignment, we were tasked with combining three animals into a dragon design. In this case, those animals were a dormouse, a brown long-eared bat, and a green anole.
