Adult Literacy and Numeracy Events June 2014 to March 2015
The GCVS Adult Literacy and Numeracy (ALN) team provides support services, including an information sharing portal, providers’ network, regular e-newsletters and practitioners’ development opportunities such as seminars and events. We support a range of organisations that deliver high quality services across Glasgow to adults and young people wishing to build their reading, writing and number skills. We also support community Criminal Justice Development work around literacies. Some services are delivered in partnership with Glasgow’s Learning and Glasgow Dyslexia Support Service.
Providers’ Network and Swap Shop Regular quarterly meetings designed for ALN providers to keep up to date with local and national initiatives and share good practice.
Thematic Groups
Make your work more sustainable. A new approach to thinking about joint funding and working together. The Arts, Culture and Literacies group is currently most vibrant. Development opportunities for other groups, most welcome.
Staff Development
These include opportunities to develop expertise around key topics.
