Reshaping Care for Older People Third Sector Mapping Emerging Results June 2012 Background and Approach Our research has been undertaken to gather evidence & demonstrate to health planners in the city, the third sector’s contribution to RCOP. Building upon existing Infobase intelligence, the research aims to: • • • •
Scope the current reach of third sector services Identify the capacity and potential to grow more localised, community-based services Capture examples of good practice & opportunities for replication Explore & establish options for effective monitoring and evaluation
During February - May 2012 our research team captured data on 301 different organisations and groups across the city. Thanks to all participating organisations and our data collectors Samira Adris, Aileen Harding, Alan Summers and Ashleigh Wilson.
