This workshop will give you fun tools and techniques to experiment and play with to create more time, space and energy to enjoy the things you love. Blues guitar
Learn the basic of blues guitar in a fun environment. It would be better if you had some knowledge of guitar. You will need to bring an acoustic guitar with you. NEW: An introduction to crystals and wellbeing
A fun, feelgood workshop for anyone drawn to crystals and who wants to know how to use them to increase personal energy and enhance wellbeing. Participants will have the opportunity to choose and work with crystals. The two hour session covers: -

Personal safety workshops Wise Women, in partnership with GCVS are providing a series of Free Personal Safety Workshops for women in Glasgow. Learn simple but effective techniques and shock tactics that will help you identify, avoid and escape potentially dangerous situations. Open to women of all ages, fitness levels and abilities. Dates (runs twice):

The Broken Biscuits cookery club A monthly family cookery club, hosted by Tom Shields. This is a community project on a tight budget, supported by help from local chefs and businesses.
The Broken Biscuits cookery club returns to the Albany Centre for regular Saturday morning sessions from Saturday 31st August. Families with children aged five or more will be able to work in hands-on demonstrations with top visiting chefs and expert local cooks. Broken Biscuits goes on a journey taking in the Mediterranean diet, the Andalucian diet, the Fife diet... and the Woodlands diet! Date: Saturday 31st August, 10:45am - 1pm

Learning to upcycle
Susie and Valerie guide you on a recycling journey! Come along to this free upcycling awareness event - and leave with your upcycled item and a new way of looking at landfill. Learn how to cook simple, healthy and delicious meals. Hands-on cookery classes delivered by the Albany Café chefs Jamie and Matt. Aikido
Aikido is a non-competitive martial art, based on the principles of non-violence and harmony. This weekly class is suitable for children aged 5 – 12. Led by teacher Naoko Ueda. Dates: Every Saturday from 6th July , 10am - 11am Cost: £3 per person
Zumba
An easy-to-follow, calorie-burning dance fitness class that’s moving millions of people to happier and healthier lives. Weekly class led by Azumi MacDonald.

NEW: Life Coaching – eight week programme
A chance to explore a range of life coaching methods and techniques that will enable the learner to take their life to a new level. Participants will develop core life coaching skills, for example self-assessment and planning goals and strategies that can be applied in a variety of contexts such as personal development, work performance and effective communications with others. By the end of the course participants will have; - Gained an overview of the origin, nature and purpose of coaching; - Learned how to self-assess and identify specific goal areas; - Developed some powerful life skills such as 'visioning', communication skills, - Learned how to create a set of strategies to achieve your vision; - Gained a deeper understanding of self-awareness. Delivered by Graham Walkingshaw, Acorn Principle Plus.
Dates: Thursday 15th August - 3rd October, 6pm - 8pm Cost: £150 for an eight week programme.
