01/07 BRIEF: To create a new set of idents for ITV2 - the current ones have been used for approximately 4 years and they no longer seem to reflect the channel content. The deliverables are onscreen. The ITV2 logo has remained the same as the current version to fit in with the brand identity fot ITV. The idents are young, vibrant and fun which reflects the channel values and the target audience.

02/07 This ident features the ITV2 logo on a dancefloor, it represents the fun side of ITV2, and reflects the audience of the channel also fun-loving 16-34 year olds. This ident would be ideal before a music programme such as The Xtra Factor.

03/07 The disco ball ident is very similar in concept to the dancefloor ident representing fun and youth.

04/07 The concept for this is to focus on the celebrity aspect of ITV2, with programmes that go behind the scenes of ITV1 programmes it has a V.I.P feel to it that other channels don’t have. There are also a number of programmes that do explore the lives of celebrities behind closed doors.

05/07 This ident is to show the relaxed side of ITV2, the values and types of programmes shown on this channel are very informal, and this ident reflects that. It also shows how it is the ideal channel to watch while relaxing on the sofa. The logo represents coming in from a long day, and just flopping into the chair.

06/07 The bumpers are a very short motion graphic showing the logo being animated. This reminds the viewer what channel they are watching.

07/07 This is a proposal for an ident, the concept is being bored at work and waiting for ‘home time’, this could be added on to the Sofa ident, to reinforce the idea of ‘television worth coming home to’. Alternatively it could be an ident that exists on its own, shown mainly between 4 and 6pm.
