01/08 BRIEF: To create a set of motion graphics to advertise the Monday night movie on E4 at 8:00pm. The deliverables are onscreen and offscreen to allow a wider reach of audience including a one off Drive-In movie event at 10 locations across the UK.

One of the main visual element present throughout is the above image. I have kept the E4 logo in order to emphasise what channel this is to do with.

Film: American Beauty Music: Thomas Newman - American Beauty from the American Beauty Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

02/08 The idents are the motion graphics shown before the film begins on the E4. At the same time they are shown there will be a relevant excerpt played from a track on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. This is a smooth, visual way of the film beginning. Narration can be added in over the top as the music samples are instrumental only. There is also another version played throughout the week, with a different excerpt, but making the viewers aware the film will be on Monday at 8pm.

Film: Inception Music: Hans Zimmer - Time from the Inception Original Motion Picture

03/08 The bumpers are for in between the sponsor and the film, as a way of informing the viewer the film is back on. Each bumper is mostly the same apart from the music and the subtle visual element from the film being shown. For example, the American Beauty motion graphics feature the iconic red rose petals.

04/08 This is an animated banner to inform the viewers of E4 which film is on next. This is exclusively for the Monday night film, as the traditional E4 banner will continue to be used as normal.

05/08 This is a proposed bumper for the Lord of the Rings - using the famous ring as the main visual element.

06/08 There will be a design for each film being shown, with a quote from the script. The film name and Monday 8:00pm will also be displayed. The design is suitable for magazine adverts, billboard proposals with a slightly varying version for an Adshell. It could also be adapted into a web banner, either static or animated.

EVENT PROPOSAL

07/08 The Drive-In Movie event will tour the UK - one city per week for ten weeks. Two weeks prior to each event there will be opportunities for viewers to vote a film for the selected location on the E4 website. The following week the film will be announced on the E4 channel, website and via a Twitter feed, the box office will be open for viewers to purchase tickets to the event.
