ENCYCLOPEDIA
One of the great advantages of LISC membership is that you have access via the LISCwebsite, to the digital Pdf files of the LISC Catalog and the LISC Encyclopedia. The LISCcatalog over 200 pages in full color, provides an overview of all the Lions stamps and varieties known to us, including private issues. The LISC Encyclopedia arranged by country, gives a complete description and an image of the Lions stamps included in the LISC catalog, complete with the associated variants, such as imperforates, De luxe sheets, color proofs, errors, mis perforations and First Day Covers. In addition to the stamps of Helen Keller, Hansen and Follereau is for each country also included an overview of the stamps, sheets, FDC's, etc. known to us with the theme Blindness and the theme Leprosy. The LISC Encyclopedia has over 1.600 pages in full color. Except for the information about the Lions stamps, the following Pdffiles are also available for collectors of stamps from other Service Clubs: The Rotary on Stamps Catalog and the Catalog for other Service Clubs such as JCI/Jaycees, Kiwanis, Round Table, Soroptimists and Zontas. Finally you will find an overview of all Lions Conventions (and Rotary Conventions) with an image of the Intern. president, location of the Convention, presidential theme and if known a philatelic item. The LISC Encyclopedia and all three Catalogs are continuously updated and refreshed on the LISC website at least once a year. All files may be downloaded by LISC Int'l members for their own use only. It is not permit ted to pass on these files or parts thereof to third parties. I hope you will benefit from these publications in setting up your own collection and I would like to invite you to visit the LISC website and open the LISC Ency clopedia and catalogues. You will find most of the answers to your questions about your Lions stamp collection. Rtn. TON VAN VLIET Editor Encyclopedia, Catalog, Stamp album
