Spotlight on Students Riley Davis

Riley Davis Finds Her Voice in Student Government

College can be intimidating, especially when moving from another state. When junior

Riley Davis arrived at GC from Brighton, Indiana, she did not know anyone. However,

Davis made friends quickly by getting involved in various organizations on campus. “I have become passionate about many things, including Georgetown College. I am confident now, which has allowed me to be my true self in any situation,” said Davis. Davis first learned about Georgetown through her dad, Robert Davis, a 1985 GC graduate, who encouraged her to get involved on campus. Davis became the President of the

Student Government Association this year, allowing her to represent the student body at the inauguration of President Allen and sit next to Governor Andy Beshear during the ceremony. In addition, she runs cross country/track, participates in the pre-vet club, is a member of Kappa Delta, and works as a veterinarian assistant at Green Tree Animal

Hospital. She was also accepted into Health Scholars and Science Honors programs. “I am on a pre-vet track and will most likely apply to veterinarian schools next fall. I grew up around horses and am fascinated by the industry, but I am also passionate about livestock and wildlife. I am just really trying to seek out what God has planned for me.”
