As a Global Business Fellow, I’ve been able to complement my business education with international relations, political economy, and global history/economics. I was drawn to these unique opportunities at Georgetown McDonough and hope to seek similar ones throughout my career. ”

opportunity for international experiences during my “ The time at Georgetown was very formative to my growth as

an individual, and this positively impacted my internship search. The encouragement that McDonough instills regarding study abroad allowed me to spend the summer in Barcelona after my freshman year and gain proficiency in Spanish. My coursework as a Global Business Fellow allowed me to explore global topics that I was interested in and provided me with a deeper understanding of policy, trade, and economics.

aspire for my career to exist at the “ Iintersection of business and service.

The McDonough School of Business places a strong emphasis on serving industry and societal needs, which is why I chose to enroll. Additionally, the network of current students and alumni that I developed at Georgetown prepared me immensely for my interview process. weekend, I was extremely inspired by the school’s core curriculum. It allowed all students to take intro classes in nearly every major offered during their time as an undergraduate. Although I was already interested in pursuing marketing, taking courses in management, accounting, and more have made me a well rounded thinker as well as a more valuable asset in my internships.

Georgetown Alumni network is a “The great place to reach out. Hoyas are

always receptive and happy to help other Hoyas in any way they can. I have had great coffee chats with Hoyas at different firms to get a feel for their company and their internship offerings. Also, the Undergraduate Career Center organized a visit to the real estate investment company I interned for this past summer. I got the opportunity to speak with Hoyas at the firm and this ultimately led me to interning there my junior summer.

program was pivotal in helping me find my full-time role in the technology industry. I connected with a Georgetown alumnus for a chat, and he taught me so much about the industry, the types of non-technical roles available to business students, and the best practices for recruiting. He had so many great things to say about working in business operations at LinkedIn and even offered to refer me to LinkedIn’s entry-level strategy program called SOAR. I ended up landing the role, and I am so grateful to our Career Center and alumni network for helping me break into the tech industry.
