McDonough has all the “ Georgetown components of an excellent business

program: distinguished professors, an ideal location, and strong industry connections. However, what truly distinguishes it is the collaboration. Students, professors, and faculty are all committed to collective success, prioritizing each other over self-interest. This support network sets Georgetown apart from other business schools across the country. ”

favorite part of the “My Georgetown McDonough program was the exploratory nature of the education. Students are encouraged to pursue a wide array of academic interests across the business world—both academically and professionally. The multifaceted core curriculum allowed me to survey almost all aspects of business and figure out which areas I was most interested in. McDonough’s extracurricular activities and support systems enabled me to dive into the private sector and gain practical experience in multiple verticals before launching my career.

academic focus, played a role in my decision to exclusively recruit at firms with large international presences. Additionally, they motivated me to undertake two global internships ahead of recruiting that I believe set me apart as a candidate. My peer career advisor was such a supportive guide and friend throughout the process. Access to students who recently navigated recruiting also became quite an asset.

step. With a strong alumni network in my industry, I was able to connect and prepare for my internship. I was blown away by how beneficial the McDonough Career Center was during my journey. From hosting workshops covering technical skills to getting advice from staff and students alike, I would not have ended up in such a fortunate position without their help. Talking with other students was especially helpful as I went through the process of pivoting roles after my junior summer.
