2021 Gardner Edgerton School District Summer Enrichment Stuff Good Basketball Players Should Know! Instructor: Kent Muyskens Every coach or basketball camp teaches players how to shoot, pass, dribble, and play defense. But what about all the little things that take a player from being average to being special? Do you know how to Hunt the Paint, Grab and Peek, or Throw a Goldilocks Pass? Can you hold the ball in Tough Position so the defense won’t steal it from you or do you know what 1974 has to do with not fouling on defense? And where is the manure zone? After this clinic, each participant will receive a pamphlet with all the drills and concepts that are taught during the week. This clinic is primarily about the little things that players can do to make themselves more knowledgeable about the game. We will be working on drills designed to teach those. There will be a minimal amount of full-court scrimmaging.
