How to Register

Look through this catalog to find the camps you would like to enroll in.

Softball

“Click to Register” will take you to the online enrollment for that camp. Login to your TeamSideline account If you don't have an account, you can set one up (Username and Password). Make sure to add your child to your account by clicking “Add Enrollee”.

Enroll your child/children into all desired camps.

Credit card, check, or cash payments accepted.

You can drop off or mail your payment to USD 231 Board of Education Offices, Attention: GEYCP, 231 E. Madison Street, PO Box 97, Gardner, Kansas. 66030. A convenience fee applies if paying by credit card.

GEHS Blazer Youth Football Camp

Our Blazer Youth Football Camp will promote individual player development and team concepts. Our high school football staff will help ensure that every camper has a positive experience learning about the sport of football. We recommend that campers bring a pair of cleats and a water bottle.

GEHS Middle School Football Camp

Our Middle School Camp provides an opportunity for players to work with our high school football staff & their middle school coaches. Players will learn valuable individual skills as well as our basic high school concepts. We recommend that campers bring a pair of cleats and a water bottle.

GEHS Varsity Football Activities

Our Varsity will have two (2) separate camps this summer. Blazer Install is the start of the GEHS football summer activities. Blazer Team Week will be in July. Both programs will introduce and reinforce our base offensive & defensive schemes led by our high school staff.

For students in Grades 10-12 (SY 23-24)

GEHS Boys/Girls Youth Soccer Camp --PreK-3

The Blazer soccer program is excited to welcome our future players and introduce them to the game of soccer This is a great opportunity for the kids to get to play on our beautiful turf field and meet the coaches Players will be divided into groups based on their grade levels and work on a variety of skills throughout the four days. Skill work will include foot skills, passing, dribbling, and shooting These will be done through drills and other fun games to get their players involved and interacting with the soccer ball Soccer balls will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own as well

GEHS Boys/Girls Youth Soccer Camp -- Grades 4-8

The Blazer soccer program is excited to welcome our future players to the pitch to get familiarized with how we like to play here at the High School Players will get a chance to get coaching from the High School coaches while playing on our beautiful turf field Players will be divided based on their grade level and skill level as the camp progresses throughout the week The camp will focus on both technical and tactical training including foot skills, dribbling, passing, shooting, 1 on 1, defense, and spacing just to name a few. This is a great chance to meet the coaches and get ready for club tryouts that coming weekend. Soccer balls will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own as well.

GEHS Boys/Girls Soccer Camp -- Grades 9-12

The Blazer soccer program is excited to kick off the summer with our camp that will focus on our new style of play we introduced last season. This is a great chance to play on our beautiful turfed field while learning how the coaches like to play at the high school. You will get a chance to go against other players that will be at tryouts to get a gage where you are at and what you need to improve on. The camp will focus on both technical and tactical training including but not limited to foot skills, passing, dribbling, shooting, defense, pattern play and spacing. Soccer balls will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own as well.

GEHS Elementary Boys/Girls Basketball Camp

The Gardner Edgerton High School Youth Camp will kick off the youth basketball offerings at the high school this summer. GEHS head girls coach Joe Leiker will be running the camp and working with all campers. This one week camp will be focused on teaching the fundamentals of basketball and the principles of both high school programs. Developing skills will be the focus of the camp but at the end of each day, we will have competitive gameplay.

For: Students in Grades K-4 (SY 23-24)

Session 1: June 5-8 -- K-1 (1:00 pm-1:45 pm) / 2-4 (2:00 pm-3:00 pm)

Session 2: July 17-20 -- K-1 (1:00 pm-1:45 pm) / 2-4 (2:00 pm-3:00 pm)

GEHS Middle School Boys/Girls Basketball Camp

The Gardner Edgerton High School Middle School Camp will kick off the middle school basketball offerings at the high school this summer. The GEHS Girls Basketball Team camp will be the start of our preparation for the 2023-2024 season. Our team camp is open to all girls entering grades 9-12 and should be viewed as an expectation for those who are interested in playing basketball at GEHS next year. The camp will focus on both individual skill development and on teaching the core of our program's principles, concepts, and culture

GEHS Middle School Girls Basketball Camp

Basketball Camp for all girls entering 6th-8th grade at Trail Ridge, Wheatridge, and Pioneer Ridge Middle Schools. The Camp will include large group instruction from the GEHS Girls Basketball Coaching Staff and Players as well as time with your individual Middle School Team and coaches

The Gardner Edgerton High School Team Camp is the start of the basketball program’s summer activities. Our team camp should be seen as an expectation for all those who are interested in playing basketball in the upcoming school year. At the team camp we will introduce our core program principles and work on player development.

Pioneer Ridge Middle School Boys Basketball Camp

This camp is for Pioneer Ridge middle school boys who will be 7th and 8th graders during the 2023 - 2024 school year. The camp will be divided into two parts. The first part of camp will focus on the skills each player will need to develop into an all-around basketball player. This will include ball handling (dominant and non-dominant hand), shooting form, pivots, defensive stance, and much more. The second half of camp will focus on the offense and defense that will be used at the middle school level. Camp scrimmages will also be incorporated into the camp time. The camp is a great opportunity for players to get a head start working on and challenging their basketball skills. Additionally, traits such as leadership, having a good attitude and playing as a team will be emphasized - along with having fun. Our goal is to build future Blazers.

This basketball camp is designed for any student interested in basketball. We will be working on skills and fundamentals that will set up campers for more success. Campers will further their abilities by engaging in fun activities. Camp will be directed by TRMS basketball coaches and former Huskies.

GEHS Boys/Girls Golf Camp (Grades 3-8)

General golf skills camp to learn the basics of the game. Coaches and high school players will be there to work with the kids on chipping, putting and ball striking. In addition to working on skills there will be fun competitive games mixed in. Grades 3-5 will work from 1:00 until 2:30 and grades 6-8 will work from 2:30 until 4:00. Please bring a water bottle/sunscreen/hat.

GEHS Boys/Girls Bowling Camp (Grades 4-12)

GEHS bowling is proud to have our first ever bowling camp. This is a three day camp to get kids interested in bowling and give them some tips to become better bowlers. We will have a professional coach there, Francis Russell, along with the head coach and assistant coach at the high school. This is a great opportunity for kids to maybe try something new or take bowling to another level than just a fun activity to do a few times a year. Kids will be paired up with others of similar age groups and bowl up to 3 games a day depending on their pace of play. Please note that we will not be using bumpers at any age so if you do not think your child can handle the possibly scenario of several gutter balls we ask that you hold off until next year to enroll them in the camp. Rental shoes and balls are included in the camp cost (along with a t-shirt) but bowlers are more than welcome to bring their own as well.

GEHS Boys and Girls Tennis Camp (Grades 3-12)

The Blazer Boys and Girls Tennis Camp is for any student that wants to improve their tennis skills. If you're a beginner, we'll get you started. If you're a good player, we'll make you better. We will cover the basic fundamentals, play games, go through skill-developing drills and live-ball action. Also, it's a fun way to start your summer!

Volleyball

Wheatridge Middle School Volleyball Camp

The Mustang Volleyball Camp will offer individualized attention to specific volleyball skills as well as offering small group instruction for combined skills. Instruction will focus on ball control, passing, setting form, hitting, serving, net transition, blocking, and an understanding of the game of volleyball. All of the fundamental skills of volleyball will be covered throughout the week at camp all while having fun too! Players will get lots of repetitions with the skills.

Trail Ridge Middle School Volleyball Camp

TRMS is excited to host a volleyball camp. This camp will focus on improving basic skills: passing, setting, attacking, blocking and serving. All skill levels will be challenged from beginner to advanced. The camp will provide knowledge of the game, court awareness and how to be a great teammate. TRMS athletes are encouraged to attend to provide a jump start to tryouts and the 2023 season.

Blazer Cheer Youth Stunt Camp

This camp is designed to introduce safe stunting techniques for cheerleaders entering 4th through 8th grades. Cheerleaders enrolled in this camp will work on skills that will help them to be able to stunt safely. Bases and flyers alike will learn body control and sport-specific strengthening exercises and stretches to improve stunting ability. The stunts will be taught in a progressive manner and we will teach and follow the motto of "perfection before progression" All stunting will be performed on a 2" thick cheer mat surface

Blazerettes Summer Dance Clinic

Join the new 2023-2024 Blazerettes for 3 days of dancing and a minishowcase Students will be split up into 3 groups: K-1st, 2nd-4th, and 5th8th (this should be the grade they are going into) Clinic students will participate in age-appropriate stretching, technique, and performance routine rehearsals This differs from our Little Blazerettes clinic in the winter in that clinic students will have more of an opportunity to work on specific age-appropriate dance techniques and skills. There will be a minishowcase after the 3rd clinic day to show off what the dancers worked on during the clinic.

SUMMER STRONG Athletic Development

gerton High School Summer Strong Athletic Development

The summer off-season program will be a 7-week program. Training sessions for our high school students will be Monday-Thursday. All studentathletes will follow a 4-day a week lifting program as well as on-field training (Speed, Agility, Quickness, and Conditioning). Training sessions for our middle school students will be Monday-Wednesday and will follow our 3 days a week running program (Speed, Agility, Quickness, and Conditioning) as well as a developmental exercise program (Bodyweight exercises, PVC progressions, resistance bands, etc).

Summer Schedule:

High School (Grades 9-12): Monday - Thursday

Middle School (Grades 6-8): Monday - Wednesday

Session 1: 6:00 am-7:30 am -- (Grades 10-12)

**Fall varsity athletes have priority
