bike try-out roadshows... Get Cycling invented bike try-out roadshows 15 years ago, and we’ve been developing them ever since. Our events come in all shapes and sizes, with bike choice and activities to meet your needs and budget. Everyone, from very small children to senior citizens, has fun on both conventional and more specialised cycles, in a safe and very supportive environment. We have specialised versions for schools, universities, sports halls, community groups and workplaces. Cycling Festivals We also provide complete festivals: up to 200 cycles on multiple themed try-out tracks, plus static pedalling attractions, and including full project management. We have entertained up to 6000 participants at these events.

An exciting bike attraction for teenagers and young adults. It’s a portable MTB skills track, giving an interactive event including skills challenges within the ability of almost all young people. The sessions consist of three courses: easy medium and hard.

KMX KARTS

You can have 10 to 200 bikes on several tracks, plus lots of static pedal-powered attractions.

Our KMX Karts come in various sizes, appealing to children, teenagers and adults. We have also noted equal gender uptake. KMX Karts perform well on both tarmac and grass. Reckon on 10 to 20 Karts according to your budget and space available. 3

the fun never ends... We have a wide choice of extras to make your try-out show that bit special. Several can also ‘stand alone’. disability events 2

For people with disabilities cycling offers exercise, fun, mobility and independence.

We take specialised disability try-out roadshows to community groups and special schools in various parts of the UK. We have also run largescale disability cycling festivals. We have radically increased the number and range of options available by also retailing refurbished and new cycles. We have a choice of around 50 models at our try-out centre in York. We are nominated advisors and suppliers of cycles to the Family Fund Charity. 5

schools activities Our Get Cycling Activity Day is an exciting and memorable day of learning and bike try-out fun, for primary or secondary. A typical day includes an assembly presentation featuring a dramatic treatment of the main issues: cycling for health, fun, practicality and the environment; including our own toe-tapping 10-minute video. Followed by cycling session on the yard, in groups of 25 to 35. We have been to almost a thousand schools: client evaluations of our London school tours give us 100% ratings. For our unique DYNAMO ACTIVITY CHALLENGE we use our schools events to engage children and staff to commit to one practical move each towards a healthier lifestyle, with follow-up.
