Announcements! Principals Message Dear Granger High School Community, The 2016-2017 school year is quickly coming to an end! With only 3 weeks to go, we would like to ask for your support in making sure our students continue attending school. Our faculty and staff take great pride in the continual effort of providing our students with learning opportunities. We know that Granger High School is a great place for students. The end of the year is a busy time with so many activities and events taking place. We hope to see you at many of the year-end events as we celebrate all of our success and accomplishments. Yearbooks are still on sale at JostensYearbooks.com -- buy one now for $45. The Aqua Stomp—A Yearbook Pool Party May 24, 7-10 pm Free for students who pre-paid for yearbooks; $5 for all other Granger students --Yearbooks will not be delivered early this year. Yearbook Delivery and Signing Day May 25, ~9:00 a.m. All yearbooks will be delivered after graduation practice on May 25 in the courtyard. Drama Department The Musical Theatre class will be doing a Musical Theatre Revue featuring the production of The Drowsy Chaperone on Monday May 8th and Tues May 9th at 6:30 in the black box. This event is free! Parents of our Into the Woods cast and Advanced Theatre, there will be a mandatory parent meeting on May 10th (5:45-6:45pm for Advanced Theatre and 7-8pm for Into the woods) Thespian Induction will be May 11th at 6pm. Buy Tickets for our Drama Academy Awards banquet online at www.grangertheatre.com. Parents, Alumni and Currant students are all invited! Tickets are $15 for dinner and the evening or $5 for just the evening. If you are a club member or an ALUMNI your evening ticket is free! (Dinner would be only $10 for you!) The event is on May 18th at 6pm for Dinner and 7pm for the awards show. Granger High School Food Pantry Here at Granger we are lucky enough to have a food pantry. It is available to students who may not have any food at home. If you or someone you know is in need of food, please go to the counseling center. Little Lancer Preschool Our GHS Little Lancer Preschool is now accepting applications for preschool, which begins Fall of 2017. This year we are expanding our enrollment to 3-5 year olds. Celebrations!

We want to give a HUGE congratulations to all of our students who took SAGE and did their very best. We also want to congratulate our students, parents, teachers, and staff who have all made it this far. We still have AP and CTE testing as well as the home stretch for graduation. We appreciate all the effort and support throughout the year, and we are excited to close this year on a really good note!

Lancer PRIDE Expectations

This year our focus’ for Lancer Pride are to be Thoughtful, Empowered, and Connected. Our main focus for the month of April is showing these characteristics in the commons area/lunchroom. We are Thoughtful and show pride for our school building by keeping it clean and undamaged. We are Empowered when we move quickly in the halls to the appropriate destination after our designated lunch period is over. We are Connected when we speak appropriately about and with my peers, as well as help others in need.

Saturday School

THE LAST SATURDAY SCHOOL DATE IS May 6th. Saturday School starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. and lasts until 12:00 p.m. Student will not be admitted after 8:30 a.m.We offer $100 credit towards attendance fines when student attend the entire time.

Citizenship Makeup

We also have an opportunity for students to earn make up citizenship hours and receive credit towards attendance fines, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 2:30- 3:45 P.M. in room D-102.
