The student will receive a certificate and prize. Only schools that participate in the FLAIR Honor Society Induction may submit the name of their outstanding student for recognition. The list of winners will be published in the next issue of the FLAIR newsletter. From this group of “students of the year” from all the high schools, one student will be selected as the overall outstanding student of the CSRA—the “FLAIR Student of the Year.” To participate, the teacher should send the nomination form for the student to flair@augusta.edu. The forms are on the FLAIR web page: www.augusta.edu/flair
Middle School Certificates of Merit For the twelfth year, middle school students can be recognized by FLAIR for their outstanding work in foreign language. The introductory course is offered over two years at the middle school, so those students maintaining an A average of the three semesters and who are recommended by their teacher, can receive a certificate of merit from FLAIR. There is no cost and teachers will award the certificates at their schools. We hope this will encourage students to continue their study of foreign languages in high school and college.
