The Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department offers a Youth Ball Program to all boys & girls who are interested in playing the game of softball, baseball or T-ball for the fun of the sport. *Volunteer Coaches Needed!* Are you looking for one of the most rewarding jobs around? If so, the Gilbert Parks and Recreation Dept has the one for you! We are currently recruiting volunteer coaches for our upcoming Youth Spring Ball Program. Parents and friends are encouraged to learn ways in which they can contribute to a child’s growth through participation in sports. Volunteering to be a coach not only gives you the opportunity to learn more about the sport itself, it also gives you the chance to get involved with your child and his or her friends. The Youth Spring Ball program offers five divisions: T-Ball (boys and girls ages 4-6), Coach-Pitch Baseball (boys age 7-9), Coach-Pitch Softball (girls ages 7-9), Boys Baseball (ages 10-12) and Girls Slow Pitch Softball (ages 10-12). For further information on how to become a volunteer coach, go to www.gilbertaz.gov/parks/youthspring-ball.cfm or contact Mary Hahn, Recreation Coordinator at 480.503.6242. Season begins April 1 through May 9. Help us make this season a memorable experience for the youth of our community!

UMPIRES NEEDED! Previous experience is helpful, but not mandatory. An umpires clinic will be held in March and the department will provide all the necessary training. The season begins on April 1 and concludes May 9th. If you are at least 15 years of age and would like additional information about the clinic and or/ employment as an umpire in the Youth Spring Ball Program, please contact Mary Hahn, Recreation Coordinator @ 480.503.6242

Please note this is NOT a parent tot class. Only Registered participants are allowed in the room. Participants must be minimum age by the first day of class.

Fun and play form the foundation for our preschooler's foreign language classes. Within two or three classes, kids learn key phrases in Spanish, through simple, repeated songs and chants. Meanwhile, they become familiar with more complex aspects of the language by engaging in 'adventures,' tactile and movement-based games that require them to solve simple problems in the language taught. These adventures, starring the Spanishkiddos, our multicultural cast of characters, take students to other lands and cultures to ensure that their language instruction is combined with cultural exposure. LET’S PLAY SPORTS NEW

We make it fast and fun! Our PGA golf coaches with the Outback Golf Academy provide expert coaching and advice to kids and parents using kid friendly equipment and a focus on athletic development. They swing clubs yes, in-between cart-wheels, jumping jacks and games that teach mobility, stability, coordination and energy. Golf should be the first sport! Why? The ball isn't moving! Start with a stationary ball then advance to a moving one. We help kids to love the game of golf in a safe and fun way. Kids learn to succeed right away at a challenging lifelong sport which is great for the whole family. On Monday's parents can take a class at the same time but separated from their kids. We use our own specialized equipment, please don't bring any golf clubs. Tennis shoes, water bottle, outdoor clothing, smiles and energy are all that's needed. Western Skies Golf Club (WS) is located at 1245 E. Warner Rd., Gilbert, AZ 85296.
