Highlights of THINK:Material at IIDEX Canada 2013. —By Michael Totzke

Every year on the show floor of IIDEX Canada, it’s a breeze locating the Material World Expo: just look for the crowd of people drawn to THINK:Material, the annual display of innovative materials. As it grows and prospers, THINK:Material has proven to be one of IIDEX Canada’s biggest draws. This one-of-a-kind collection is a representation of the most innovative materials from around the world. These materials are collected by the IIDEX team, showcasing a variety of products for material suppliers, including glass, wood, metal, plastics, laminates, stone and textiles. In 2013, the team worked closely with Ryerson University undergraduates from the architectural science and interior design programs, along with guest curator Jim Salazar.
