SCOTT'S THOUGHTS... Head Coach - Scott Booth
The players have worked really hard in training over the last six week or so. The last two matches have definitely shown that. Now we have three games in a week starting with a tough match against Motherwell. As ever, we'll need to play well ans give everything to win but I'm confident the players are ready for that.

LAST TIME OUT
SUPER CITY HIT SEVEN AT STATION PARK A perfect debut hat trick from Ode Fulutudilu helped Glasgow City to a magnificent 70 win against Forfar Farmington at Station Park. Four goals in 14 minutes at the start of the second half saw the away side pull clear after a resilient first 45 minutes from Forfar. Sharon Wocjik’s 43rd minute opener was followed up by goals from Fulutudilu, Nicole Robertson, Julia Molin and Jo Love as City recorded back-to-back wins in their first games of 2021. City looked to dominate from the off and within four minutes, Maddie Fulton had hit the crossbar with an effort from outside the box. That same crossbar would come to Forfar’s rescue no less than four times in a first half which saw Erin Clachers, at the other end, with just one London Pollard shot to deal with which she saved well. Priscila Chinchilla, Fulutudilu and Robertson caused the home side a number of problems in the opening 45 minutes with each either forcing Lauren Perry to make the save, hitting the woodwork or shooting just wide. As the half time whistle drew closer, Forfar’s resistance was finally broken when a determined Fulutudilu reached the byline and cut the ball back for Lauder. The chance almost looked gone when her first touch wasn’t conducive for the shot but she was able to set up Wojcik to slam home from the penalty spot. City started the second half as they ended the first – with a goal. A looping cross from Robertson on 47 minutes found Fulutudilu six yards out and she headed the ball over Perry and into the net. Moments later and the debutant had her second when Fulton’s corner found her free at the far post to turn the ball home. Within 10 minutes of the restart, the game was beyond Forfar as a well worked corner routine saw Ásgrimsdóttir, at the far post, nod the ball back across goal for Robertson to turn it into an empty net. Five minutes later and fancy footwork from Chinchilla inside the Forfar box saw her wriggle free and set up Molin for her first City goal. A poor clearance from Perry saw a superb first-time finish from half time substitute Love who curled the ball into the back of an empty net from 25 yards out for 6-0. With seven minutes to go, Fulutudilu completed the scoring and her hat trick when she cut in from the right and fired the ball beyond Perry.

MATCHDAY PREVIEW All you need to know....
City welcome Motherwell for our first home league fixture of 2021 in the Scottish Building Society SWPL1 this afternoon. City have started the year strong with ten goals scored and none conceded in the two games since the restart while Motherwell have lost both of their matches to Forfar Farmington and Hibernian 3-2. It was three second half goals in ten minutes that separated the sides earlier in the season with Leanne Ross, Jo Love and Tyler Toland all getting on the score sheet. City's last home game against Motherwell was the final game of the 2019 season. You can watch today's action live on BBC ALBA or if you are outwith the UK, on GCFC TV.
