SCOTT'S THOUGHTS HEAD COACH - SCOTT BOOTH
"I expect this up coming game against Hibernian to be as competitive as ever. They have some excellent players and are well organised. It's vital we focus on ourselves though. We will need to play well to take all three points so that is our target again this weekend."

LAST TIME OUT
CITY VICTORIOUS IN AIRDRIE RAIN Glasgow City secured all three points after coming out on top at the Penny Cars Stadium in Airdrie. Leanne Ross gave the visitors the lead through a free kick before Rosie Slater found the back of the net for Motherwell. A Mairead Fulton penalty and an Aoife Colvill strike gave City a 3-1 lead at half time before the hosts netted at the start of the second half. Janine Van Wyk’s low driven finish secured the victory for City. Motherwell started the game brightly and earned themselves an early corner that came to nothing. On the ninth minute, City got the breakthrough. Davidson’s run was stopped and the referee brought the play back for a free kick and from the resulting free kick, Ross found the bottom corner as Pollard failed to get across her goal quick enough to stop the ball squirming in. City had some half chances with efforts from the edge of the box that failed to trouble Pollard. Motherwell got back on level terms just after the half hour mark when Rosie Slater’s cross looped over Erin Clachers and found the far corner of the net. Motherwell’s joy was short lived as within a minute of getting level, they fell behind. Colvill was tripped in the penalty area and Fulton stepped up and coolly slotted the ball past Pollard. There was still time left for some first half action as City made it three seconds before the half time whistle after a lovely piece of play by Colvill and Shine was finished off by Colvill. Motherwell started the second half quickly and reduced the deficit to one within 60 seconds. A cross from the left was only cleared to Hay who fired the ball into the net. City once again responded with Van Wyk getting on the scoresheet. A corner routine found the South African international on the edge of the box and her low driven strike nestled in the bottom corner.

MATCHDAY PREVIEW All you need to know....
The next instalment of Glasgow City against Hibernian takes place this afternoon as City welcome the Leith side to Broadwood Stadium. Both games this season have been decided by the odd goal in City's favour with Priscila Chinchilla's penalty the difference last month at Ainslie Park. Hibernian's four game unbeaten run came to an end in midweek after defeat at home to Rangers but they stayed in fourth place, ahead of Spartans on goal difference. City remained unbeaten following victory away to Motherwell in midweek and for the first time since a pre-season fixture against Hamilton Academical in February 2020, City will play a home game in front of supporters.
