EPWIN WINDOW SYSTEMS PRODUCTS DELIVER A TRANSFORMATIONAL SOLUTION FOR A HOME IN WALES NEW DUAL FOILS FOR QUICKSLIDE’S VERTICAL SLIDERS

Quickslide has started the new year in style with the launch of additional colour options, including exclusive dual foils for vertical sliders.

Epwin Window Systems windows and doors have been used to transform a Welsh property into a sophisticated modern home as part of an impressive remodelling project.

The project was carried out by Pearce Home Improvements who fitted Optima casement windows, entrance doors and PatioMaster sliding doors in a dramatic modernisation of the detached bungalow in Deganwy, North Wales.

Luke Pearce, owner of L Pearce Home Improvements, said: “The owner wanted to modernise his home and make the most of the outstanding views over the North Wales coastline. Optima and PatioMaster products from Epwin Window Systems delivered the difference that was needed on such a substantial remodelling project. The aesthetics of the products combined with the superb thermal efficiency delivered at every level.”

The eight-week project involved a total refurbishment of the property. L Pearce Home Improvements installed 12 Optima windows and three Optima entrance doors in the property. The team also installed a total of four two-pane PatioMaster sliding doors. One PatioMaster door in the open plan kitchen area was manufactured to just 1.7 metres high and 3 metres wide, delivering stunning views of the sea. Two corner patio doors, each 2.5 metres high and 3 metres wide were also fitted, giving extraordinary panoramic vistas and creating a beautiful, light-filled space in the living area. Luke said: “By fitting a shorter PatioMaster door onto a newly constructed dwarf wall in the new kitchen area, we were able to open up the property’s front elevation and deliver a wider glass area to maximise the view and light potential into the home.”

All products were manufactured in Anthracite Grey on White to create a modern exterior while maintaining a neutral interior. Fabrication was undertaken by longstanding Epwin Window Systems’ fabricator, Heritage Trade Frames.

As well as delivering the outstanding aesthetics the project demanded, Optima and PatioMaster products also delivered the thermal and weather performance needed in such an exposed location. The products allow the homeowner to enjoy the views from the property without compromising on comfort levels or the requirement for ongoing maintenance.

Longstanding Epwin Window Systems installer L Pearce Home Improvements is one of North Wales’ specialist installers of highquality PVC-U and aluminium products. The company has a showroom in Rhos-on-Sea where customers can see the quality of the products for themselves. And in installations like this one, customers can also see how the right products can completely transform a space. As Luke said: “This project shows what can be achieved when you have an owner with ideas and contractors with vision. We’re delighted with the results.”

Choice Of Eight Stocked Profiles Makes Premier Arches The Arched Frame Supplier Of Choice

As part of a wider commitment to make their customers lives as easy as possible, leading arched frame manufacturer Premier Arches now stocks eight leading profile systems at its premises. Working from a 12,000 square foot manufacturing facility in St Helens, the company now stocks PVC profile from Profile 22, Rehau, Eurocell, Liniar, Veka, Halo, Duraflex, and the Residence Collection, all of which can be expertly crafted into quality arched and angled frames.

The company is also able to provide frames in Kommerling and Aluplast profile.

Managing Director Sean Greenall comments: “Having such a wide range of profile available to hand has enabled us to reach PVC fabricators, installers and local builders up and down the country and serve them with our products and services. No matter which profile you’re after, you’ll most likely find it at Premier Arches.”

Using this wide range of profiles, Premier Arches manufactures arched, angled, gable, circular and entirely bespoke windows and doors, transforming the often daunting concept of profile bending into a simple and pain-free process, saving fabricators time and money, and helping them win more lucrative projects which would otherwise be turned down.

In addition to arched frames, customers are also able to order fully fabricated frames, including sashes, accessories, glass and composite door slabs, meaning they don’t need to mess around with glass templates or finishing arched frames in their own streamlined factories that are set up for speed.

Sean continues: “At Premier Arches, we operate on three core principles – excellent manufacturing, clear and honest customer service, and a ‘make life easier’ offering for our customers. By investing in a wide range of profile, we’re able to succeed on all three, deliver a consistent and reliable service to our customers, and maintain our reputation as the arched frame supplier of choice.”

A brand new 18,500ft2 dedicated foiling facility has given the leading doors and windows manufacturer the ability to increase its in-house foiling capacity by 30%, and to bring out more new colourways quickly as trends change.

Quickslide surveyed their trade partners to help inform the decision for the new colour selection. Respondents were asked which dual colours they thought had the greatest sales potential, as well as their thoughts on what foiled finish might be most likely to increase sales in the next 12 to 24 months.

“Based on these responses we’ve launched our new colours,” said Quickslide’s Managing Director Ben Weber, “and we're most excited about our dual colours for VS, which are now available in exterior/interior combinations of grey woodgrain/heritage white and agate grey/heritage white.”

“We've also included a white woodgrain/smooth white option for VS from stock, as well as launching smooth grey available across the entire Deceuninck range.”

Of the foils Quickslide currently offers, the survey revealed white woodgrain remains a top choice with customers along with agate and anthracite greys, which is reflected in the new colour options. Cream woodgrain, Chartwell green and black foils were also highlighted as top sellers, followed by golden oak, rosewood and Irish oak.

“Overwhelmingly, our survey showed our partners find foiled finishes an easy upsell to customers, which is why it is so important we respond by keeping our colour offerings fresh and up-to-date,’ said Ben. “And having in-house foiling capability and recently moving this to a dedicated and expanded facility gives us the capacity and ability to react to new colour trends quickly and cost-effectively.

“Listening to and reflecting our partners’ needs so they can make sure they are meeting those of their customers is absolutely crucial to our business, as we can only grow our business if our partners can do the same.” www.quickslide.co.uk
