Florida And Texas Windstorm Approved GlassCraft Premium Fiberglass entryways have been evaluated for compliance and are approved for installation in designated catastrophe areas along the Florida and Texas Coast when installed as required and as specified in the International Residential Code (IRC) and the International Building Code (IBC). Both 6’8” tall and 8’0” tall entryways have been certified in a variety of entryway configurations, including single doors, double doors, single doors with 1 or 2 sidelites. Both Speakeasy doors and doors with glass have been approved with in-swing configurations. GlassCraft offers our premium fiberglass doors pre-hung in solid composite frames in Windstorm rated Impact units. The composite material used in the door frames and trim is a wood-plastic composite with a wood grain. These “no rot, no warp” frames may be stained or painted, and the prehung units are available factory finished to match a prefinished fiberglass door. “Impact” rated prehung units are approved by the states of Florida and Texas.

Composite Components: Jamb legs, brick mold, mull posts, outside mullion, and t-astragals are available. Over 90% of the material used to produce our composite components are produced from PVC. It accepts nails, staples, and screws within 1/2” of edge, and it has a low linear expansion from high or low temperature. Non-splintering, it will not twist and has excellent screw and nail retention. Cuts with any fine-tooth miter saw, and routes out beautifully with little or no chipping or ragged edges. Accepts paint and stain like real wood. IMPACT Prehung Units: We can prehang the four entry configurations shown right using our 3’0˝ or 2’8” wide and 6’8˝ or 8’0˝ tall fiberglass doors and sidelites. Prehung units include brick mold, door sweep, weatherstripping, and adjustable threshold, plus 3 hinges on 6’8˝ doors and 4 hinges on 8’0˝ doors, plus astragals where applicable. IMPACT prehung units also include all door lockset and handleset hardware and a multipoint lock system...all “sea-spray” rated. Multipoint handle sets shown below. All prehung units shown includes the use of composite jamb materials--no wood parts are used. Prehung units may be ordered unfinished or prefinished to match your door. Please note that for IMPACT entryways, we use double jamb legs (no mull posts) between sidelites and the door and a continuous sill. IMPACT Prehung Entryways with Exterior Wrought Iron Grilles: All entryways that feature our real exterior wrought iron grilles feature a special salt-resistant coating on the wrought iron parts. This coating is commonly used on offshore oilrigs, applied to metal parts to resist rusting and corrosion. While this coating significantly enhances the durability of these decorative wrought iron grilles, we do not warrant the grilles or hardware finish against corrosion. Prefinished Composite Prehang Entryways: The four entry configurations shown are available professionally prefinished to match our fiberglass doors. Refer to our factory finish options on pages 7 - 11 for color options.

Composite Jamb Options 4-1/2˝ wide or 6-1/2˝ wide jamb sizes are available for exterior pre-hung door units. Door jambs, brick mold, T-astragal and Mull caps are made from composites that can be stained or painted. See pages 7 - 11 for full details on available factory finish options for jamb components. Premium Fiberglass Door Construction Superior Performance

Pre-hung Options GlassCraft doors in this catalog can be ordered as a pre-hung door unit. Pictures and part numbers for pre-hung doors are listed under each door selection. Pre-hung units include brick mold, T-astragal (for double doors), sill cover, door sweep, weatherstripping, and adjustable threshold, plus 3 stainless steel hinges on 6’-8” high doors and 4 stainless steel hinges on 8’-0” high doors. Pre-hung units are all produced using a continuous sill for added strength, beauty, and weather and rot resistance. Impact units come with multipoint locksets only. Multipoint locksets are installed into the active door panel for shipping. Handle sets are packaged in a separate box to protect the hardware finish. Impact door units can only be shipped fully asembled and will include all hardware factory-installed. Impact units come fully assembled and with a coastal hardware package including installation screws, Sapphire satin nickel handle set and stainless steel multipoint lock set and hinges. Protective coastal film applied to handle sets and iron grilles (Hardware and Wrought Iron Grilles finish NOT covered by warranty). Package price does not include a dummy handle set on double doors, see page below for complete hardware options. Pre-hung Standard and Impact entryway include 4 1/2” or 6 1/2” full composite jamb options and include composite exterior brick mold. GlassCraft composite jamb system can be stained or painted.

Antique Cherry Cherry has a pronounced wood grain with lots of character and depth of color and patina.

Used primarily for premium

cabinetwork throughout the 19th and 20th century, Cherry has become popular with today’s homeowners in other areas of the home including doors and architectural trim. Our Antique Cherry is available in 3 color finishes, all designed to maximize the cherry patina and to enhance the decorative varied grain patterns.

Rustic White Oak White Oak has been used for years as the premium choice of cabinet makers and craftsman to produce the highest quality of stain grade projects that required a rugged and durable wood with a highly decorative grain pattern. Our Rustic White Oak captures this beautiful wood grain to it’s fullest while also reproducing years of natural wear and gentle scuff marks to enhance the wood grain. Rustic White Oak is available in three color options.

Cottage Fir Cottage Fir combines the striking straight grain definition of the fir wood grain with the traditional arts and crafts handmade doors.

The Craftsman Cottage Fir door reproduces the

traditional vintage feel of hand cut mortis and tenon pegs and comes with an optional integral dentil mold shelf. The super strong LSL stile construction on both stiles help make this collection of 6’-8” premium fiberglass Craftsman doors one of the lowest maintaince doors available in today’s market. Choose from seven different glass texture options to complement your speakeasy and door. Double insulated clear glass sample not shown below. Glass textures shown are produced using a double insulated glass unit to provide safety, security, and energy efficiency. Speakeasies are available with or without a decorative grille. Impact speakeasy entryways must include the Impact Florentine speakeasy grille option. The capacity to see through the glass panel varies, depending upon the glass texture chosen. Baroque and Water glass options offer a light obscured view. Flemish and Fluted glass options offer a moderate level of obscured view. Rain and Glue Chip give the highest level of obscured view. In addition to these six glass textures, clear glass gives a completely unobstructed view.

Straps and Clavos Use decorative door straps and “clavos” or door nails

for

installation onto the face of a door to give it a rustic or antique look. Door straps and clavos can be mounted on the interior, the exterior or both sides of a door. Straps may be used with or without the clavos shown below. These door straps and clavos are handmade and therefore vary slightly. Iron straps and clavos shown are available with an Antique Black finish. Straps include mounting screws. Each of the design series: Madrid and Florentine, include matching shaped L and T straps. The "L strap" is for square door corners, the "T strap" is for the door stile and cross rail joint, and the "angled / arched L strap" is for doors with curved top rails.

The SDL “Simulated Divided Lite” Series GlassCraft’s SDL collection provides a selection of classic French doors and stylish Prairie and Craftsman doors . The SDL (Simulated Divided Lite) series of fiberglass doors will complement a wide range of architectural styles. SDL doors in this catalog feature double insulated glass panels for security, strength and energy efficiency. This SDL Series provides an impressive range of options and finishes. Choose from 28 factory finish colors in 10 available wood grain options. See pages 7 – 11 for photos of GlassCraft’s Estate and Artisan factory finish options. GlassCraft SDL doors and Sidelites incorporate tempered glass for safety and security. These doors may be ordered individually or assembled in full composite pre-hung jambs.

SDL Door Construction SDL bars give the look and feel of historic and traditional divided lite doors, but with improved performance and energy efficiency. “SDL” Simulated Divided Lite grilles create the illusion of True Divided Lite “TDL” doors by placing composite muntin bars on the interior and exterior of one double insulated glass panel. Muntin bars are permanently fixed to the glass surface with specialty SDL tape allowing for superior energy efficiency over TDL doors.

SDL Impact Doors Impact SDL doors have been tested and approved for use in windstorm and Impact areas. Please refer to our website for specific Design Pressure ratings for windstorm/impactapproved SDL doors.

Florida And Texas Impact Windstorm Approved GlassCraft Premium Fiberglass entryways have been evaluated for compliance and are approved for installation in designated catastrophe areas along the Florida and Texas Coast when installed as required and as specified in the International Residential Code (IRC) and the International Building Code (IBC). Both 6’8” tall and 8’0” tall entryways have been certified in a variety of entryway configurations, including single doors, double doors, single doors with 1 or 2 sidelites. GlassCraft offers our premium fiberglass doors pre-hung in solid composite

frames in Windstorm rated Impact units. The composite material used in the door frames and trim is a wood-plastic composite with a wood grain. These “no rot, no warp” frames may be stained or painted, and the prehung units are available factory finished to match a prefinished fiberglass door. “Impact” rated prehung units are approved by the states of Florida and Texas.

Composite Components: Jamb legs, brick mold, outside mullion, and t-astragals are available. Over 90% of the material used to produce our composite components are produced from recycled plastic and wood. It accepts nails, staples, and screws within 1/2” of edge, and it has a low linear expansion from high or low temperature. Non-splintering, it will not twist and has excellent screw and nail retention. Cuts with any fine-tooth miter saw, and routes out beautifully with little or no chipping or ragged edges. Accepts paint and stain like real wood. IMPACT Prehung Units: We can prehang the four entry configurations shown below using our 3’0˝ or 2’8” wide and 6’8˝ or 8’0˝ tall fiberglass doors and sidelites. Prehung units include brick mold, door sweep, weatherstripping, and adjustable threshold, plus 3 hinges on 6’8˝ doors and 4 hinges on 8’0˝ doors, plus astragals where applicable. IMPACT prehung units also include all door lockset and handleset hardware and a multipoint lock system...all “sea-spray” rated. Multipoint handle sets shown below. All prehung units shown include the use of composite jamb materials--no wood parts are used. Prehung units may be ordered unfinished or prefinished to match your door. Please note that for IMPACT entryways, we use double jamb legs (no mull posts) between sidelites and the door and a continuous sill. IMPACT Prehung Entryways with Exterior Wrought Iron Grilles: All entryways that feature our real exterior wrought iron grilles feature a special salt-resistant coating on the wrought iron parts. This coating is commonly used on offshore oilrigs, applied to metal parts to resist rusting and corrosion. While this coating significantly enhances the durability of these decorative wrought iron grilles, we do not warrant the grilles or hardware finish against corrosion. Prefinished Composite Prehang Entryways: The four entry configurations shown are available professionally prefinished to match our fiberglass doors. What is U-Factor? U-Factor measures the rate of heat transfer and tells you how well the window insulates. U-factor values generally range from 0.25 to 1.25 and are measured in Btu/h·ft²·°F. The lower the U-factor, the better the door insulates. What is Solar Heat Gain Coefficeient? Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) measures the fraction of solar energy transmitted and tells you how well the product blocks heat caused by sunlight. SHGC is measured on a scale of 0 to 1; values typically range from 0.25 to 0.80. The lower the SHGC, the less solar heat the door transmits.
