Tower Green markets on again in Beerwah

Market showcases local talents

The CWA Beerwah branch has been running local artisan markets for the past five years. The original philosophy of the markets, which are still operating, is to support local creative makers who might otherwise not have the opportunity to share their creations with the public.

It was a great pleasure for the branch when local athlete Louise Pearce, who has been recently selected to represent Australia at the Oceania Athletics competition in shotput, applied to have a stall.

Louise was crowned Queensland Champion in the open women’s heptathlon and also placed second in shotput and third in long jump at the Queensland State Championships.

Not only is Louise a very talented athlete she is also very creative and has partnered with her cousin to create Crafty Coast Cousins. Making vibrant and unique jewellery and homewares, you can meet Louise and check out the Crafty Coast Cousins’ wares at their stall at the Beerwah Tower Green Market this Saturday, July 20 from 9am-1pm. For stallholder enquiries please email qcwabeerwah@gmail.com.
