DR SEUSS’S THE CAT IN THE HAT - LIVE ON STAGE Two bored kids. One rainy day. And one crazy cat wearing a red-striped hat. In 1957, Theodor Seuss Geisel used this formula and only 200 words to write his second children’s book as Dr. Seuss. More than 50 years later, The Cat in the Hat is a much-loved children’s phenomenon. The play was adapted for the stage in 2009 by the National Theatre of Britain. Young and old alike will delight in this faithful adaptation of a classic book come to life before our very eyes. Spoiler alert: Things run amuck, and quickly!!

PLAYERS THEATRE
SINGING IN THE RAIN Based on the 1952 MGM musical this classic musical comedy is light, fast, entertaining and really funny, with its priceless dialogue and upbeat, much loved score its designed to make you smile the whole way through. When the transition is being made from silent films to talkies, everyone has trouble adapting. Don and Lina have been cast repeatedly as a romantic couple, but their latest film is remade into a musical only Don has the voice for the new singing part. After a lot of practice with a diction coach Linda still sounds terrible and Kathy a bright young, aspiring actress is hired to record over her voice. Did you know the Glasshouse provides ticketing services for events outside the venue? Since 2009, we have processed over 22,000 tickets for local events including Red Hot Summer and Players Theatre.

OBSESSED: COMPELLED TO MAKE ADC ON TOUR: AN AUSTRALIAN DESIGN CENTRE NATIONAL TOURING EXHIBITION
What compels a maker to create? Why this technique or material? Why that concept? How does the mind of a maker work? A major touring exhibition from the Australian Design Centre, Obsessed: Compelled to make explores the stories of 14 Australian artists – stories that are at the same time unique and yet contain the frustrations and highpoints of a life of creative work that all of us can relate to, whether we are a professional artist, designer, craftsperson or hobbyist.
