PLANNING YOUR VISIT SOME TIPS TO ENJOY YOUR VISIT TO THE GLASSHOUSE Check your tickets - make sure you are familiar with the date and time. Make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes before a performance. The Glasshouse opens one hour prior to a performance, enjoy a drink at the Encore Bar with friends or browse in our Glasshouse Shop. Some performances have a ‘latecomer’ lock out - so make sure you are seated in plenty of time to enjoy the performance. If you are late, you may not be admitted to the theatre until a break in the performance or a time nominated by the performance company. This happens so other Glasshouse patrons or the performers are not disturbed. Want a drink at interval? Beat the crowd and complete an Encore pre-order form and pay for your interval drinks at the bar when you arrive. At interval you can simply collect your drink/s and avoid the crowds at the bar.

You shared. We listened!

Based on the feedback you shared with us in 2016 we have implemented some new initiatives to improve your Glasshouse experience.

Reducing the crowd in the downstairs foyer We have activated the mezzanine bar on level two when the upstairs theatre is open. The mezzanine bar provides additional seating and if you are watching your performance upstairs, you can collect your pre-ordered interval drink from the mezzanine bar.

Providing an enhanced pre-show experience Pre-show cheese platters are available to book when you are purchasing tickets – now you can enjoy a drink and some nibblies before the show.

Clear Bar Signage The Encore bar menu is now clearly displayed for you to pick your selection whilst waiting in line.

Ice-cream snacks in summer We have introduced ice-cream to the Encore Bar for a summer snack.

Coffees during intervals We have installed a new coffee machine which means you can enjoy a selection of coffees pre-show and during interval.

Drinks in the Theatre We now allow beverages to be taken into theatre after decanting into plastic cups offered at the bar. This allows you to enjoy your beverage for longer without having to rush! We love having the opportunity to continually improve our services to make your Glasshouse experience second to none.

Thank you.
