We depart from the Tyrol, taking a scenic drive through Lake Garda. We check-in at the Hotel Posta in Spiazzi. Rest of the day is free to soak up the local atmosphere. Saturday. We journey to pretty Malcesine where you’ll have time to browse the traditional market before we board our boat to cruise to Riva del Garda where we rejoin our coach. Sunday. A guided tour of Verona, the enchanting city of Romeo and Juliet with fortified walls, an old castle, Roman gates, cathedral and Juliet’s balcony. Monday. We enjoy a guided tour of Venice taking in the World Heritage Site of St. Mark´s Square, the Basilica and its Campanile, the Gothic Doges´ Palace and Palazzo Ducale. Tuesday. We check out of the Hotel Posta and take a scenic drive to the vineyards of Bardolino and Valpolicella. We include a visit to the Olive Oil Museum and a guided tour of a local winery – along with some tasting. Afterwards, we return to Hotel Gasthof Gradlwirt in Niederndorf. Wednesday. Look forward to a circular tour of the Kitzbühel Alps via Walchsee and St. Johann arriving at the alpine resort of Kitzbühel. CROATIAN ISLAND CRUISE Uncover the idyllic islands of the Croatian coastline on this dreamy cruise through the crystal waters of the Adriatic. Sailing from the historic harbour of Split, our first port of call is the tiny mainland city of Makarska. We glide on to the isle of Korcula, birthplace of Marco Polo and home to a medieval walled town, then drop anchor in divine Dubrovnik. Next up is the tranquil island of Mljet with its salt lakes and ancient abbey. Finally, soak up the sun alongside the jet set at Hvar before our return to Split, home to glorious Diocletian’s palace.

Your Holiday Itinerary Saturday. We fly to Split and transfer to our ship. Settle into your floating hotel before dinner. Sunday. We set sail for Brac Island for free time to explore. In the afternoon we cruise on to the small mainland city of Makarska where we anchor for the night. Perhaps take a wander around the bustling main square. Monday. We glide towards Korcula where we stop overnight. This historic town is surrounded by walls and crammed with ancient sites. See the Gothic Renaissance Cathedral, the Revelin Tower, Marco Polo’s house and the Town Museum which is housed in a fifteenth century palace. Tuesday. A morning departure for Dubrovnik where delights within its imposing walls include a palace, monasteries, fortresses, city gates, pleasant squares and the ornate Onofrio’s Fountain. Wednesday. We sail on to the national park of Mljet, a paradise island steeped in myth and legend with an untouched nature reserve. Tuck into lunch on board then head to the salt lakes, see Odysseus Cave or visit the Benedictine monastery. Thursday. Our ship sails on to Hvar, the sunniest Croatian island with gorgeous beaches making it a magnet for the jet set. The town is situated in a sheltered cove and features cobbled squares and a selection of friendly tavernas.

Friday. Our ship returns to Split. Perhaps spend time exploring all the nooks and crannies of the World Heritage Site of Diocletian’s palace which was built as a fortress in the fourth century. Saturday. After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our flight home.
