Please note there is no charge to pay by debit card (including Switch, Solo and Delta) however all credit cards incur a 2% handling fee. DEPOSITS

A non refundable deposit is payable within four working days of booking your holiday. Deposits are £35 for coach holidays in the UK and Ireland. European coach holidays incur a £100 deposit with all balances due four weeks prior to departure. Deposits on ocean cruise holidays are from £150. Air holidays to Jersey incur a £200 deposit, with all other air holidays requiring a payment of £250. On all non-coaching holidays, balances are payable fourteen weeks prior to departure.

Known for its beautiful location, Ullapool is a traditional fishing village in pretty Wester Ross. We stay at the town’s Caledonian Hotel overlooking the harbour and we venture out to lovely Lochinver, home to an interesting visitor centre. Another day sees us heading to the small historic town of Dornoch where you’ll find a sandy beach and thirteenth century cathedral. From here, we make our way to magnificent Dunrobin Castle, a fortress with towering conical spires and then onwards through the glens to remote Lairg. For our final day out we head firstly to the tourist hub of Gairloch before continuing to Inverewe Gardens - a lush and colourful oasis perched on a peninsula on the shores of Loch Ewe.

The Granite City & Royal Deeside Pretty Blairgowrie nestles on the banks of the River Ericht and has peaceful woodland walks. Today we travel through the Ypres Salient, the region of Belgium that was the scene of some of the bloodiest battles. Beginning at the preserved trenches of Sanctuary Wood, we stop at the museum before continuing to Tyne Cot Cemetery, a burial ground for the dead of WWI. Afterwards, we move on to the Messines Ridge sector and the nearby Irish Peace Tower which honours the role of Irish troops. At Ploegsteert we learn about the compassion of the Christmas Truce and view the memorial. We have some free time to dine locally at our own expense before the moving Last Post ceremony at the iconic Menin Gate when a bugler sounds a final farewell to the fallen.

Wednesday. An early morning departure for Paris so you’ll have the full day to take in the sights at your own pace. We meet up for dinner (included) in a city restaurant then see Paris by night on our evening drive through the city. Thursday. We travel to the Historical Museum in Peronne before moving on to the biggest British mine crater on the Western Front at La Boisselle. At Thiepval, we visit the Memorial to the Missing which commemorates the many thousands of soldiers who died in the fierce Battle of the Somme in 1916. Our tribute ends at Serre where we see where war poet Wilfred Owen fought. From here, we continue to Zeebrugge for our ferry back to Hull with dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board. Friday. We make our way home from Hull.
