Discover the many delights of the magnificent Moselle River on our Three Countries cruise sailing aboard the enchanting river cruiser, the MV Diana. Your Holiday Itinerary Friday. We travel to Hull for our overnight ferry to Rotterdam enjoying dinner, entertainment and breakfast on board.

Saturday. Today we make our way to Metz in north eastern France and board the MV Diana with time to settle in and explore the ship’s facilities before dinner.

Wednesday. Today’s treat is medieval Bernkastel, a town full of history and famed for its wines and romantic half-timbered houses.

Sunday. We set sail for the Luxembourg town of Remich, known as the “Pearl of the Moselle”. From here we drive through the scenic Mullertahl arriving at captivating Echternach, the oldest town in Luxembourg, famed for its fascinating ancient architecture. In addition to an abundance of historic buildings and museums, there is a lake nearby making the town an intriguing blend of culture, history and natural beauty.

Thursday. Our cruise heads downstream to reach Cochem, a traditional german village where snaking streets of wine taverns nestle beneath the storybook edifice of Reichsburg Castle. This is a place where legend, history and folklore are woven into every winding alleyway.

Monday. We deviate on the River Saar to reach delightful Mettlach where we join our coach to venture into the spectacular Hunsruck Hills. Tuesday. World War I Battlefields Centenary Commemoration

Discover the bravery of the soldiers of the Great War on this poignant quest to mark the one hundredth anniversary since the outbreak of WWI. We visit the sites of the bloodiest conflicts and pay our respects at monuments and graveyards that are scattered throughout the countryside of France and Belgium. Our itinerary incorporates Ploegsteert where we learn about the Christmas Truce before the moving Last Post ceremony at the iconic Menin Gate.
