The Cercle de l’Union Interalliée is one of Paris’ most distinguished private clubs with its own magnificent park. The Cercle Interalliée (as it is called) was founded by Marshal Foch and the Count de Beaumont in 1919 to celebrate the allies’ victory in World War I. It is in a beautiful 18th century mansion in Paris’ 8th arrondissement. Between the British and Japanese embassies, the club is just two blocks from the French President’s Elysée palace.
