Our world 7 residential UK summer camps, 13 London day camps, 2 French hotel destinations and 1 amazing adventure after another. For all international explorers with a thirst for adventure and masses of enthusiasm for life, Camp Beaumont caters to the next generation of adrenaline seekers, budding cooks, aspiring DJs and future sporting superstars alike. And as for those who think they’re ‘too cool for camp’ we’ve got that covered too!
Home from Home
Quality childcare guaranteed
A dedicated team
Clean, comfortable and 100% child friendly, our centres offer all the creature comforts of home with single-sex, age-appropriate dormitories and bags of space in which to relax and chill out at the end of the day.
The well-being of our campers is our top priority, so we guarantee all staff are fully trained in health, safety and pastoral care. We’re also a founder member of the British Activity Holiday Association, appropriately licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Service and on the voluntary part of Ofsted’s Childcare Register.
No camp would be complete (or possible for that matter) without a great team onboard - so it’s lucky we’ve got just that! All our staff are CRB checked, trained in safety procedures and evaluated on an ongoing basis. We also have a dedicated NSPCC trained child protection officer at every camp. Just as importantly perhaps, all members of the Camp Beaumont team are passionate about what they do and have bundles of energy to boot.
And of course we know all too well the importance of refueling young, active bodies, so there’s plenty of fresh, healthy hot and cold food on tap when campers gather together to eat.
Endless holiday choices As well as offering our wildly popular ‘English Adventures’ holiday, each of our UK camps also run our ‘English in Action’ programme so that international campers from across the globe (including Britain!) can mix and mingle with each other, improving their English language skills and having fun at the same time. Even better, every camp has a selection of specialist adventure activities on offer – perfect for igniting the imagination and introducing new hobbies from horse riding, tennis and street dance, to football, baking and Bushcraft. Check out our full range of specialist activities on pages 16-21.
Fantastic value for money Keeping children entertained during the long school holidays can be a challenge and the cost of finding things to entertain them can soon add up, so we promise to keep our prices and the cost of ‘fun’ as low as possible. You can even spread the cost of your holiday with a small deposit or pay in full at the time of booking, whatever works best for you.
Age matters It’s important children feel completely comfortable and at ease in their surroundings, so campers are divided into their respective age groups (7-11’s, 12-15’s and 16-17’s) for all activities and sleeping arrangements - although they do get to mix and mingle during meal times.
Hassle free holidays Our friendly team will be on hand to help you with every stage of the booking process, from arranging travel insurance and camp kit through to providing a list of clothing required and helping with transport arrangements. Our holidays really are as simple as ‘1, 2, Hassle Free’.

7-11’s For our youngest visitors especially those first timers away from home - camp can provide a wonderful opportunity to spread their wings and an exhilarating taste of independence. Our centres provide an exciting, yet safe and nurturing environment in which budding young adventurers can mix with other children of the same age, learn to push the boundaries, try something different and discover new skills and hobbies - not to mention create some wonderful memories and friendships along the way.
Round-the-clock fun We all know children of this age are bundles of energy just waiting to be unleashed, so we have carefully designed and structured our pre-set programmes to include a stimulating mix of age-appropriate team sports and energetic adventure activities. Of course we also understand that even the most lively camper can start to flag at the end of a busy day, so with this in mind our programmes are carefully balanced to allow ample opportunity to race around and let off some steam, as well as a chance to relax with friends and enjoy some of the more creative activities too.
All the comforts of home As well as serving up heaps of fun and enjoyment everyday, we always guarantee a friendly, reassuring face is on hand - in the form of a dedicated Camp Coach - to offer plenty of comfort and support to our campers. In fact making sure our young campers receive constant, caring supervision and feel completely happy and secure while staying at camp is as important to us as we’re sure it is to you.
Complete peace of mind So as a parent you can have complete peace of mind knowing that not only is your child having the adventure of a lifetime every day, they are also being given some gentle reminders to brush their teeth, change their clothes and recharge their batteries with a good night’s sleep in preparation for yet another fun-packed day.

12-15’s At an age when children are eager to conquer the world, going off to camp can offer many wonderful opportunities - not least the chance to make new friends, try something really cool and relish a little bit of quality, parent-free time. But perhaps the best thing that camp allows is the opportunity to chill out and just have fun – and our camps make all of this possible. We provide the backdrop to a whole host of exciting adventures and endless new possibilities. How many other places do you know where it’s possible to ride the waves, fly through the air, explore underground, speed round corners and leap from dizzying heights – all in one adrenaline-fuelled day.
Ready, steady, GO We know that children love to keep on the move, so our programmes are structured to always pack in as much round-the-clock excitement as possible. So whether campers are making the most of our taster sessions and trying a different, energetic adventure activity each day, or concentrating on one particular pastime with a specialist activity, we’ve got having fun down to a T.
Safety first As well as overseeing every activity, our fully qualified instructors also concentrate on building children’s confidence and self esteem, and helping to develop their understanding and skill levels so that they can get the most out of everything they try. And of course it goes without saying that when it comes to the welfare of your children, safety at Camp Beaumont ALWAYS comes first – from the CRB checks for all staff, the fully secure camps and the very latest equipment used for every activity.
Complete peace of mind While 12-15 year olds are indeed a confident bunch, that doesn’t mean they (and their parents) don’t still appreciate knowing there’s always a friendly face around the place to make sure everyone’s happy and they all behave! Each Camp Coach keeps a watchful eye on their group to ensure all campers are settled in, enjoying their time and, most importantly, getting a good night’s sleep.

16-17’s Packed with extreme challenges and super cool activities, ‘The House’ is the ultimate way for teenagers to chill out with friends and enjoy some quality downtime away from the pressures of growing up, parents and school. Following the resounding success of ‘The House’ - a camp aimed at our older teens we’ve taken the concept one step further and rolled it out across 3 of our UK camps. So now there’s even more opportunity to experience a huge selection of high adrenaline activities as well as add some seriously cool excursions and evening entertainment into the mix. With a range of specialist activities also on offer and ample time to relax and unwind, this is one teenage holiday hangout that’s definitely not to be missed.
With comfortable, age-appropriate, single-sex dorms and plenty of freshly cooked meals (with hot, cold and vegetarian options) on tap, a host of exciting excursions offering a chance to soak up a little culture (not to mention a shop or two), and some of the country’s best theme parks, we’re pretty sure we’ve got everything covered when it comes to keeping our teens entertained, rested, refuelled and ready to go.
As well as being able to try their hand at a whole host of challenging activities, including climbing, fencing, high ropes, water sports and quad biking, campers can also make the most of our dedicated ‘teenage only’ games and chill out areas. With a different event hosted every evening there’s a perfect excuse to get all dressed up once the sun goes down – not that any teenager ever needs an excuse of course!
While our older campers are of course grown up in many ways, this doesn’t mean their dedicated Camp Coaches aren’t still keeping a watchful eye on all that goes on – both at camp and off-site. Add to that the CRB checks for all staff, coded security gates and boundary fencing we can give all parents complete peace of mind knowing ‘The House’ offers that much needed taste of freedom in an extremely secure setting.

English in Action What is it?
What you need to know
Campers are immersed in the British way of life from the moment they arrive, bringing English to life by speaking, listening, reading and writing in the classroom and while taking part in adventure activities. Our stimulating, fully immersive English language course offers students the chance to study on their own, in teams or in pairs, and uses a variety of study methods (IT, written publications, role play, games, competitions and more) to help bring learning to life. By using English as their common language, all students benefit enormously from forging friendships with fellow campers and learning about different countries and cultures.
Upon arriving, students are split into groups depending on their age and ability, to ensure that they all get the very most out of their time at camp. Structured language sessions take place each morning, so afternoons are free to take part in a range of adventure activities, see page 15 for a list of what’s on offer. With so much available, it’s not usually possible to take part in every adventure activity, so we arrange a full programme with a daily timetable, and Camp Coaches keep the children informed of the plan for the day ahead. Every Camp Beaumont instructor is fully trained and accredited and all activity equipment and instruction used at camp is included in the price. In order to allow campers enough time to get the most out of their English language tuition, it is not possible to add a specialist activity to our English in Action programme.
Activities As well as 15 hours of language tuition over the course of the week using a variety of fun, student-friendly topics and interactive study methods, campers have plenty of time to let their hair down and enjoy the multitude of adventure activities available to them at camp. From dawn to dusk, there’s always something going on, including a full programme of exciting evening entertainment for all of our campers to look forward to every night in our Evening ents. See pages 24-39 for a selection of what’s on offer at each camp.
Excursions There’s also the opportunity to take a number of excursions to places of local interest so that they can learn more about Britain’s history and culture. There are plenty to choose from, so whether it’s local culture, shopping or thrilling theme parks, there’s something to suit everyone. See pages 22-23 for full details.

Adventures What is it? ‘English Adventures’ forms the base of all our holiday programmes, with an option to then add on further specialist activities depending on a child’s individual interests. This gives campers the very best of both worlds - the opportunity to try out a new sport or hobby every morning with likeminded friends and then experience a whole host of different indoor and outdoor activities with the rest of the campers in the afternoon. International campers are welcomed at the same time as those from Britain, providing an excellent opportunity for children to mix with campers from all over the world.
Activities The activities, which all vary from camp to camp and age group, take place inside and out, overland, underground, on the water and even in the air. Of course the fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down there’s also a full programme of exciting evening entertainment for all of our campers to look forward to every night in our evening ents. So come rain or shine we’ve pretty much got it covered and every box ticked – your child simply won’t have time to get bored! Take a look at pages 24-39 to find out what activities are available at each of our different camps.

Every Camp Beaumont instructor is fully trained and accredited and all activity equipment and instruction used at camp is included in the price.

Beaumont radio What is it? After setting up their very own Beaumont Radio station, campers must then research, write and produce all of the content using Myriad software, before putting together a programme containing interviews with campers, infomercials and music, and then broadcasting it around the camp during lunchtimes - an ideal opportunity for those interested in breaking into the world of media, or any budding DJ in the making.
Activities Children will spend every morning with their specialist group, learning about the history of the radio, developing communications skills and honing their skills in the studio using industry standard equipment. The remainder of each day will be spent, experiencing other indoor and outdoor activities available with the rest of the campers as part of the multi-activity holiday.
What you need to know There’s no need for any prior knowledge or experience; all the necessary expert instruction will be provided, along with plenty of training in the relevant software and skills. A CD of the recorded radio programme can be taken home after camp.

Activities While half the holiday will be spent creating culinary delights with fellow bakers, the remainder of the time will allow children to join other campers and experience other exhilarating adventure activities available at the camp that week as part of their multi-activity holiday.
What you need to know Previous cooking know-how is certainly not a must as we are there to teach, guide and help every step of the way. All ingredients and equipment are provided in a safe working environment (no sharp or dangerous equipment is used) and a Food Hygiene familiarisation session is given at the start of the week.

The best team
We strive to create camps that truly excel – where young people can enjoy new experiences and conquer their fears in a safe, nurturing environment. We want you, as parents, to feel confident that your child is in safe hands at Camp Beaumont.
We search high and low to find the very best people out there – the ones who demonstrate patience, enthusiasm, empathy and a sincere desire to enhance the lives of children. We have a dedicated Welfare Team, committed to making sure all campers are happy, relaxed and feeling right at home.
Safety first We carry out risk assessments for all activities with detailed inspections across our purpose-designed camps. All staff (who are fully CBR checked) receive first-class training in our rigorous operating procedures and we conduct annual end-of-season reviews to ensure our safety policies are always up-todate and comply with best practice.
Total care We take our responsibilities very seriously, maintaining the highest standards of supervision and care through our dedicated Welfare Team and continually monitoring and improving our procedures.
Guaranteed fun The Beaumont experience is about young people having fun and being a part of something special that they can cherish for many years to come. We aim to provide every camper with the adventure of a lifetime.

skills for life
More than
fun & friendship Camp Beaumont offers a unique experience that can benefit your child personally and socially. We asked parents to tell us why they send their children to camp - here are a few of the main reasons: “Have loads of fun”
“Develops children’s life skills”
Since we began over 30 years ago, we’ve welcomed over a million smiling faces to our camps. We continue to work tirelessly to ensure all our young campers have a summer to remember.
At Camp Beaumont children have the chance to build relationships that might otherwise be hard to develop in a school setting. Campers have the opportunity to make friends with others from all over the world, creating a wonderful exchange of ideas and culture and returning home with an armful of new email addresses.
A visit to camp is a great way to boost your child’s self-esteem and help them challenge their own boundaries. Whether they’re reaching the top of the climbing wall when afraid of heights, or simply staying away from home for the first time, camp really can help to increase their confidence. Parents often cite this as the biggest difference they notice in their child on their return from camp. It’s also a great place for building and developing life skills, such as independence, interdependence, tolerance, responsibility and loyalty – giving children a real advantage over their peers as they grow up and learn to make their own way in the world.
“Try new activities”
“Improving language skills”
Our adventure activities encourage children to take healthy risks and use their initiative, discovering their inherent talents and being rewarded for their successes. They’ll also have the chance to try something new – experiencing activities and sports they may never have seen before, let alone given a go. Parents often tell us their children enjoyed an activity so much, they continued it as a hobby at home – Camp Beaumont may well have influenced a whole new generation of climbers, kayakers and quad bikers, or even a future Olympian or two!
Camp Beaumont offers a truly multi-cultural environment, with children from many countries enjoying our facilities. English is always used for activity instruction and evening entertainment – and children usually use it as their common language outside our structured sessions. A stay at camp offers your child the chance to immerse themselves in the English language, improving their confidence, vocabulary and ability.
“Make new friends”

made so many new friends from all over the world! -

our people
Our people Our staff make each Camp Beaumont holiday that extra bit special for every child, creating a safe, secure and happy environment that is guaranteed to make their time at camp complete. We search high and low to find the best possible people to work with us here – those whose enthusiasm and commitment to inspiring and motivating young people shine through. Many of our staff came to Camp Beaumont as children, so they know better than anyone what it takes to make a really special environment, just like the one they enjoyed years ago.
A dedicated team Each camp has a dedicated management team on site including a Camp Manager, Welfare Manager and Programme Manager, to ensure that everything is running smoothly and to resolve any issues if they arise. From the moment children arrive at camp they are taken under the wing of their own Camp Coach, who, just like a big brother or sister, is approachable, friendly and fun and there to answer any questions campers may have - as well as keep a responsible eye on them from dawn through to dusk.
44
Activity Instructors All of our activity instructors are fully-trained to the highest standards and receive ongoing updates on health and safety, firstaid and welfare. All are assessed on a regular basis to ensure our standards never slip.
All staff All camp staff, from instructors and Camp Coaches to catering, security, maintenance and office staff, hold an up-to-date enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. Each camp has fully trained firstaiders on site, as well as night duty staff available at all times. We choose our staff for their passion as well as their experience as we believe this approach makes Camp Beaumont that little bit extra special.

Parent guide
Q&A’s Age groups Campers are split into 3 main age groups (7-11 year olds, 12-15 year olds and 16-17 year olds) for accommodation and all activity arrangements. However, if siblings (of the same sex) would like to share accommodation, or you feel that your 12 year old would feel more comfortable in a holiday for younger children or your 15 year old would like to join friends in the 16-17 year old group, then an ‘overlap’ between groups can be arranged - please feel free to discuss the options with our team. Please note that all our sleeping arrangements are single sex and it is not possible for brothers and sisters to share accommodation.
Equipment All specialist equipment (conforming to British or European standards) is supplied by the centre, as are approved buoyancy aids and lifejackets, which must be worn for all watersports. At Camp Beaumont we are continually updating our safety equipment to reflect current best practices.
Off-site Activities On occasions we like children to explore the local area; this could be an escorted walk to a nearby village, National Park or games on the beach. Children entering the sea as part of a beach visit will be accompanied by a qualified Beach Lifeguard.

Q. Can I come and visit before deciding? A. Yes of course – just call us to arrange a guided tour of any of our camps. Q. Will my child take part in all activities? A. We cannot guarantee they will take part in everything as there’s so much on offer, but we fit in as many activities as possible. Occasionally poor weather means we have to put some activities on hold, but all camps have indoor facilities so there’s still no time to get bored! Q. Can my child change their holiday at camp? A. As long as there is availability and we are given good notice. You will be asked to pay the difference in any cost and an administrative fee may apply, but if you’re happy with the change, we’ll arrange it as soon as we can. Q. What happens if my child has chosen to focus on their favourite activity but wants to go on an excursion at the same time? A. Your child can choose to miss part of their chosen activity to go on an excursion but we won’t be able to offer you a refund. Our excursions take place on certain days and times to fit with the rest of camp and the venue opening times, so there can sometimes be an overlap. Q. Will my child have many opportunities to speak English? A. Yes, plenty. All activities and entertainment is carried out in English and your child will be staying with children from a wide range of countries, including the UK, so campers usually communicate in English during their leisure time. During cultural excursions, children will complete worksheets to help them practice their written language skills.
Q. How do you deal with welfare issues, like homesickness? A. We know how important the welfare of your child is, so each camp has a dedicated Welfare Manager on site. They’re great at turning tears to smiles and helping children get fully involved in camp life. If our staff have any concerns they will of course contact you as you know your child best. Equally you should call our team if you have worries. Q. How do I contact my child? A. We have activities planned from dawn till dusk so the children often don’t have much free time. The first weekend is also a really important time to allow the children to settle into camp routines. However if it is necessary to get in touch with your child, email is the best way to keep in touch. In an emergancy please call the camp direct. Q. Can my child take their mobile phone to camp? A. Yes they can but in case of loss, theft or damage and to help prevent homesickness, amongst other things, we recommend that your children do not bring mobile phones to camp. We are unable to accept responsibility for mobile phones and have clear policies on their use, in particular that they may not be used during the activities, meal times or after children have retired for the night. Q. Are there any rules? A. We have a Code of Conduct – you’ll receive a copy in your welcome pack and you and your child should sign and return this before arrival. Campers are also made aware of any camp rules upon arrival and reminded of these where appropriate throughout the stay.
As a full time working mum, it is difficult to find clubs for my daughter to do during school holidays. Since finding Camp Beaumont, this has all changed!! My daughter enjoys making new friends, trying out new activities and does not even have time to think about home. It has certainly made my life easier as I know that my daughter is having a fantastic time whilst I work!!
-
Jane Galloway, parent
Q. Can my child share a room with a friend or sibling? A. We will always do our best to keep campers together with their friends where we can; just let us know who they want to share with when you return your Welcome forms. Please note that all our dorms are arranged by age and gender, therefore it is not possible for brothers and sisters to share accommodation. Q. What time do campers go to bed? A. It varies according to age, with lights out generally at 9.30pm for younger children and 11pm for the oldest campers. It is part of our staff’s role to get everyone to bed reasonably on time – sometimes easier said than done! Once ‘lights out’ has been called, night duty staff take over. They reassure the anxious, encourage the high spirited to settle down and continue their vigil until all is quiet. Our Security teams also monitor accommodation throughout the night. Q. What about children’s hygiene? A. Campers wash and shower daily, with younger campers supervised for teeth cleaning and hair brushing and older campers receiving a gentle reminder when needed. We do however expect that campers share the responsibility for ensuring they wash/shower and clean teeth on a daily basis. Q. How secure are the accommodation buildings during the day? A. All accommodation buildings are secured when the children are on activities. If your child needs to get something from their dormitory, their Camp Coach can let them in. We actively discourage use of the dormitories during the day and concentrate on ensuring campers are having fun.
Q. What’s the food like? A. Our food is suitable for the fast paced activity holiday environment offering freshly prepared meals and varied menus with a number of choices each day. We encourage campers to try new things and even get most of them to go for the salads! Please let us know about any special requirements before arrival.
Q. Can I drop my child off and pick them up from camp? A. Yes course you can, this is our most popular method of arrival. You should drop them off between 3pm and 5pm on their first day and pick them up between 9am and 11am at the end of camp. Please note that early arrival or late collection may result in additional charges.
Q. What should my child bring to camp? A. Dont worry we’ll send you a packing list once you’ve booked. We recommend you leave iPods, mobile phones, mp3 players, laptops etc at home as we can’t look after them and they’re not covered by our insurance. Children should bring their own suitable outerwear, such as a good waterproof anorak or kagoul, waterproof trousers, footwear and casual clothes, including long sleeved trousers and tshirts. There’s no need for expensive or brand name clothes that are easily lost or damaged either. We provide all the specialist safety kit needed for our activities. Please make sure you label all items with a full name – we find it helps your child remember what they’ve packed at the end of their stay if you also send them along with our packing list.
Q. My child has a medical condition or has had behavioural issues - can they still come to camp? A. Please give us a call to discuss the details with one of our team before booking your holiday. Whilst we pride ourselves on giving a truly inclusive camp, and it’s rare that we can’t host a child, there may be occassions where our camp is not suitable for a child. The more information we have in advance, the better we are positioned to confirm suitability or arrange suitable care. We do reserve the right to send a child home immediately at the parents expense with no refund if we believe their behaviour adversely affects the enjoyment of other campers or imapcts the safety or welfare of anyone else.
Q. What about pocket money? A. We recommend your child brings up to £10 per day. We have a small shop on camp, with souvenirs and a selection of snacks and drinks. We also offer a ‘bank’ style facility where campers can keep their money safe, withdrawing a little each day to spend in the shop on gifts or snacks, or on day trips and excursions.
Q. Are there laundry facilities at the camp? A. We offer a laundry service specifically for children staying at camp for longer than 1 week. Please visit our website for more Q&A’s.
