This long-running adults-only revue celebrates its silver anniversary of heating up the nights on the Strip
Anita Mann was not thinking about how to celebrate a silver anniversary when she founded Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease, the long-running topless revue at Luxor, 25 years ago. Her focus was on the choreography, a six-month contract and establishing a sisterhood atmosphere among dancers. She’s been focused on adding new routines as of late and building bonds with new dancers as cast members move up in the organization, move on to irresistible opportunities and start families of their own.
“I’m in shock,” she says in reaction to the fact that Fantasy has lasted for a quarter of a century. “Other than that, what we decided to do in the middle of this year, I said, is, ‘Every month we are going to change a dance number.’ It takes three to four weeks to choreograph it, get it lit, costumed, get the music. Then there’s still performing the older show every night while they’re waiting to do the new numbers.”
Fantasy has raised the curtain inside Luxor’s Atrium Showroom some 10,000 times for more than 2.5 million Fantasists since 1999. The milestones are being celebrated with an Oct. 16 anniversary celebration and cocktail
reception that is expected to have extended family in attendance, including choreographers Mandy Moore (Taylor Swift, La La Land ), Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson (Dancing with the Stars), Chris Judd (Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez) and former Fantasy star Yesi Burgess.
The esteemed group of dance-step designers contributed new routines for the 25th anniversary version of Fantasy “Normally every year I change a number. We just want to keep the show kind of fresh,” Mann says. “The ladies have been phenomenal, and they’ve allowed me to do this. We’ve changed half the show. They’re just amazing pros and just dived into it. We have a new opener and new closer, which are two big numbers.”
Mann expressed particular enthusiasm about the return of Burgess, who had departed earlier to take on the roles of resident director, dance captain and featured performer at a nightlife and live entertainment venue at another Strip property. “She left me, which I wanted her to do,” Mann said. “She came back and choreographed a new country number.” –Matt Kelemen

This centerpiece lounge in the heart of the Strip has a new look and stellar lineup of signature cocktails
Center bars are the fulcrums of casino floors, thoughtfully designed to tie rooms together and serve as staging areas for a night on the town. For decades, Planet Hollywood’s Heart Bar beat with a rhythm energized by the action at the gaming tables, its location a go-to landmark for meeting up before dinner or a show. The heart still beats, but this past winter the scene crystallized into new form as the shimmering, gleaming Glass Bar
Partitions of prisms now create the nerve center of Planet Hollywood’s nightlife. Where Heart Bar was cozy, Glass Bar is elegant and dramatic. Designed by international firm Rockwell Group, whose next-level hospitality visions have helped shaped the look of contemporary Las Vegas nightlife and restaurants, Glass Bar resembles an oversized, overturned chandelier refashioned for 4,000 square feet of sipping space.
Thousands of amber and gray crystal prisms form a contoured sweep around the bar and lounge and create an ombré glow within the interior, enhanced by polished chrome brass framing and mirrored columns. Dark woods dominate hard surfaces while a black-and-white pattern used in the design palette
makes seating upholstery pop.
A redesigned bar calls for a complementary new menu. Glass Bar’s signature drinks include the Fruit & Pebble, a Bacardi Superior rum libation flavored with Fruity Pebbles syrup and lime juice, garnished with Fruity Pebbles dust. The Light Show delivers a Ketel One cucumber and mint vodka and Lagoon Bay aperitif topped with Fever-Tree cucumber tonic water in a glowing blue vessel. Grey Goose strawberry and lemongrass vodka, passion fruit purée, lime juice, sparkling wine and cotton candy are combined to create the Casino Carnival. Other intriguingly named drinks include tequila tasters Pink Diablo and Ransom Note, cognac-and-Campari cocktail Italian Stallion and bourbon-based Brown Butter Derby.
Glass Bar feels like more of a destination than a staging area while retaining a seamlessness with nearby blackjack tables. It’s still a go-to place to meet up before taking the adjacent escalator to the mezzanine level to see Criss Angel MINDFREAK or after a concert steps away at PH Live. It’s easy to find. By day, it’s a good eats stall called Fuhu Cha Chaan Teng inside the Famous Foods Street Eats dining hall. When the sun sets and it gets a little late, take a closer look at one of the walls of the stall—it’s moving, and people are passing through it. You’ve just stumbled upon the Resorts World Las Vegas speakeasy, Here Kitty Kitty Vice Den Bartenders at HKKVD are masters when it comes to creating cocktails, with
the Bartender’s Choice cocktail being one of the most popular choices on the menu. Based on your taste buds, the types of foods you like, the scents you enjoy, and even the movies you love, the bartenders will whip you up a unique specialty cocktail. This writer’s cocktail was based on my likes of vodka, creamy drinks, saltier foods, romantic comedies and nothing overly sweet. The glowing result (pictured) was a blend of vodka, fresh lemon,
ginger, house-made chrysanthemum syrup, melon liqueur and egg whites. Don’t sleep on the whole menu, though, with standout picks like the Best Little Whorehouse. The martini-style cocktail is a blend of green tea-infused Ming River baijiu, Hennessy VS cognac, lemon, honey and peach. –Kiko Miyasato

Who says you have to stay up late to enjoy this city after dark? The sun sets somewhere around 6 p.m., and then after that … it’s dark! So, if you want to have the Vegas at night experience while also having the experience of being in bed before midnight, read on.

Many Las Vegas visitors might not know this great nighttime activity, so we’re going to let you in on the little secret: drinking and chilling at center bars. Almost every property on the Strip has a center bar, and the reasons they’re great are many: free to get in; open really late (in some cases, around the clock); impressive cocktail and beer-on-draft selections; tons of comfy seating; happy hours and drink specials; and, as the name suggests, in the center of the action.
Start with the newly opened Lapa Lounge at Rio Las Vegas. The cocktails here are flavor experiences, and the upscale surroundings make this destination, inspired by the Lapa neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, a must-visit.
The largest center bar just might be Crystal Bar at Resorts World Las Vegas. Enjoy killer music, a huge bar area, high-tech lighting visuals, mod-looking furniture and a large cocktail, spirits, beer and wine menu.

If you’d rather taste tequila, try the Omegarita, made with blanco, given a splash of smokiness with mezcal, and made refreshing with ginger, citrus, coco bitters and Scrappy’s Firewater, a tincture with habanero and floral flavors. Stella Gaydadzhieva is a cocktail server at one of the Las Vegas Strip’s most famous institutions—Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge. When the sun goes down, or perhaps after you get out of the nightclub at 4 a.m. on the weekends, this is the spot to go, a longtime favorite of locals, visitors and industry folk alike.
“Any time of the day, I used to come to Peppermill pretty often as a customer,” Gaydadzhieva says. “I loved it—it was my favorite place.” So she decided to apply
for a job. For the last three years she’s been a familiar face you’ll see around the restaurant and the popular Fireside Lounge, a great hang for the middle-ofthe-night party crowd.
“Las Vegas was the second place I ever visited when I moved to the United States from Bulgaria,” Gaydadzhieva says. “I love Las Vegas because you can have everything here, and I wanted a new adventure, so I thought it would be perfect to come here.”

HaSalon gets your night started right with an inspired menu in a party atmosphere
When you are planning your nights in Las Vegas, whether you are heading to a show, the club or the gaming floor, you’ll need to fuel your bod—and what if you could get the party started at the same time?
At HaSalon in The Venetian, that’s a definite possibility. The dynamic Mediter-
ranean restaurant, founded by Eyal Shani and Shahar Segal, brings together all the best ingredients for an excellent night.
Grab cocktails first, and the Barbarella, with Botanist gin, rhubarb syrup, rhubarb bitters and Angostura bitters, is a good place to start. The 3 Miles and Change is concocted with 27 Bacardi, Leblon Cachaça, Fernet-Branca, strawberry syrup and lemon juice, while More Passion (…) is a mocktail with verve, higlighted by passion fruit purée, Pom juice, muddled lime and simple syrup.

That idea of bringing people together to rejoice truly shows. On the menu, you’ll find sections of “Vegetable creatures,”
“Pure semolina & water handmade pasta,” “Wild fish & other creatures from the deep sea” and “Cow, lamb, & chicken—grass fed.” It’s an unusual way to term your courses, but it’s fun and the presentation matches the vibe of the restaurant.
Recently, executive chef Ivan Villasana introduced new dishes to the fall menu, the California Fall Squash Tortellini, the Potato full of Crab (a relative of the Potato full of Herself, we’re sure), Roasted Squash, Labne and Brown butter, and the Squash Memulaim (“memulaim” is Hebrew for “stu ed”). Other amazing dishes to indulge in include the 7 ricotta clouds, not even one more, in sage butter sauce; Crab shawarma, in a tomato perfume; and Tomahawk steak, 45 ounces of Creek-
stone Farms beef cooked over an almond wood-fired grill.
Order the Terrifying hammer and watch as beef carpaccio is pounded down at the table—everyone in the place is sure to take a look. But the beatdown of the grass-fed beef isn’t the only party-style atmosphere you’ll find here; you may find yourself spontaneously twirling your napkin above your head, or joining in as others do that. A server or two may suddenly jump to the top of a table and dance a bit. Said chef Eyal about HaSalon in a recent release, “Our goal has always been to create not just a dining experience but a euphoric
escape where every guest can lose themselves in the enchantment of the night.”

They say nothing in life is free. They may have a point in an abstract sense, but when They are in Las Vegas, They may fi nd there are things They can do gratis—without any extra charges. An entire mission to experience all that is free, in fact, can be accomplished beginning with a pilgrimage to the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign on the southern tip of The Strip.
The sign was designed by Betty Willis for the Western Neon company (eventually bought out by YESCO to resemble a period key fob with “WELCOME” spelled out in silver dollars. By the ’70s, it had become de rigueur for tourists to take souvenir photos. Now there are driveways and parking spaces, as well as Regional Transportation Commission bus service. Early morning is optimal selfie time.

Designer Ed Libby and the Conservatory team opted for an enchanted forest theme for autumn, with oversized pumpkins and statues of woodland creatures providing incomparable photo ops.
The RTC transit line runs all the way to Fremont Street Experience, the fabled playground of Downtown Las Vegas, where bands play free concerts on outdoor stages and stateof-the-art Viva Vision light shows are programmed to play nightly on the underside of the canopy. Pedestrians are free to walk around with open
containers, but not free to violate city ordinances. Party responsibly. It’s also free to check out Fremont Street’s casinos, from new kid Circa Resort & Casino to old-school Golden Gate, where memorabilia, including a model of a 1907 telephone (phone number? 1!) and original hotel ledgers, is encased in the renovated lobby. International design fi rm Gensler reimagined the property by applying contemporary concepts in lighting, technology and design to its art deco personality. The hotel opened in 1906 and provides a priceless opportunity to get in touch with Vegas history.
Resorts World Las Vegas has made history in terms of tech and integrated design, with the acreage apportioned between several hotel entities. They also display art, enough so that it’s worth reserving time to take a tour.

The beautiful and talented ladies of Fantasy: The Strip’s Sexiest Tease stepped o the stage for a spell and posed for our cameras as they got their late-night game on at next-door, 21+ bar/recreation area Play Playground. The 15,000-square-foot space at Luxor, which is open until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, is kid-like fun for adults, with cocktails and more than 20 immersive, hands-on games.
