THE TERRORISTS OF THE “LUHANSK PEOPLE REPUBLIC” PUT IN ACTION THE “MARTIAL LAW”. According to the document, the purpose of the introduction of the martial law is to create the conditions to repel or prevent the “aggression” against the socalled “Luhansk People Republic”. “Aggression against the “LPR” recognizes the use of the armed forces of a foreign state (group of states) against the sovereignty, political independence and territorial integrity of the “Luhansk People Republic” or in any other manner inconsistent with the UN Charter,” - the document says. The “Law” also establishes that “during the period of the martial law it may be, to the extent to which this is necessary for national defense and state security, the limitation of the rights and freedoms of people, the activities of enterprises, institutions, organizations, officials rights. They also may rely more responsibilities on the enterprises, institutions and organizations, their officials and citizens”. The validity of the martial will begin with the date and time, which are set by the decree of the leader of the terrorists of the “LPR”. This “law” came into force on May 5th, 2015. www.euroleader.in.ua

In cooperation with the educational institutions of the Kyiv region there is the implementation of the project activities of the organization in the development of leadership potential, as an integral part of the process of building a democratic society in Ukraine by providing educational, informational, consulting campaigns, projects and programs. Thus, on 23d and 27th of April 2015, with the support of the Department of education of the Obukhiv district administration of the Kyiv region in Derevyana secondary school of I-III degree, Tripillya secondary school of I-III degree the training- seminars for pupils of 7-9 classes were held. Promoting of the deeper meaning of “leadership”, the definition of pupils own life values, guide marks and success is the main goal of the training “Leadership” and “How to become a leader?”. EUROLEADER 2014 THE LEVEL OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH IN THE CRIMEA IS WORSE THAN IN SYRIA AND IRAN.

The level of freedom of speech in the Crimea in 2014 dramatically went down and became one of the worst in the world. According to the 100-point scale (100 is the worst point) the Crimea got 94 points and entered the list of the “worst of the worst” countries and territories. Thus, the countries such as Syria and Iran got 90 points, and the Russian Federation - 83 points. In this situation, independent media does not exist or barely able to operate, the press acts as a mouthpiece of the regime, citizens’ access to the objective information is strictly limited, any disagreement is suppressed by means of imprisonment, tortures and other forms of repression. The peninsula began to obey the laws of the Russian media after the occupation and annexation in early 2014, and its medias are faced with the restrictive rules and widespread violence. Under conditions of the Russian occupation of the Crimea the pluralistic media sector was hit hard by closing and locking of the Ukrainian media and the introduction of Russian restrictive regulations for the media. There have also been the numerous cases of the intimidation and violence that urge the massive setting out of the journalists from the Crimea and create the risky conditions for those, who remained. Last year they used particularly aggressive propaganda techniques in Russia, where statecontrolled all-Russian television stations were broadcasting the continuous demonization campaigns, aimed at the internal opposition, neighboring countries, a policy which irritates Moscow, and the whole democratic world. The Russian media played a major role in the preparing of the Russian public for the war with Ukraine, information wars began a practice of a modern life and the main type of a warfare. The most striking changes of freedom of speech are in Ukraine, which improved its rate from 63 to 58 points, moving from the category of not free to partly free. The removal of the authoritarian government of President Viktor Yanukovych led to a decrease of the political pressure on public media and the weakening of hostility towards the independent thoughts. However, these gains were partially worsen by the effects of the conflict in the eastern regions of the country, which created the significant obstacles and dangers for the journalists. www.euroleader.in.ua
