EUROLEADER 2014 THE THREAT OF RADIATION IN THE DONBASS: IN DONETSK A CHEMICAL PLANT EXPLODED, WHICH STORED NUCLEAR WASTE.

In occupied Donetsk the level of radiation can be very high because of a powerful explosion at the state factory of chemical products, as there is a big warehouse of nuclear waste . This is the third explosion at the plant. At this plant there is one of the storages of radioactive waste of Defense Ministry of Ukraine. Now no one does control the environment on the occupied territories, so if there is an high level of radiation there, the people simply cannot know about this. Unfortunately, there is no reliable information about the destruction of enterprises about the environmental situation on the occupied territories.

SINCE THE RUSSIAN AGGRESSION IN UKRAINE 68 CHILDREN KILLED, 176 INJURED. Since the beginning of Russian aggression in the eastern Ukraine 68 children killed, 176 injured, more than 1,000 have lost their parents and 150,000 left the conflict zone. As a result of the aggression of Russia against Ukraine the number of displaced people is growing; on June 3, 2015, their number is 1325154 million, 150,481 (17.2%) of them are children. Besides, 1086 children (on 31of March 2015) lost their parents. Since the beginning of the Russian aggression in the eastern Ukraine 68 children killed and 176 wounded. The World Health Organization and other organizations believe that the actual numbers of dead are much higher. Also in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions as a result of shelling 7 children hospitals and 3 schools were destroyed, 47 medical and 177 educational institutions were severely damaged. The whole world is a witness, and the monitoring the OSCE confirms that the terrorist supported by Russia are behind the murders of the Ukrainian children, their stealing and illegally transporting to Russia. For example, 61 orphan children were kidnapped in July 26, 2014 from an orphanage in Luhansk and illegally transported to Russia. Also, 16 children were abducted and transported by the armed groups to Russia in June 12, 2014. According to the available data, from 126 children of the regional orphanage in Krasnodon, 80 children are still in the area controlled by the terrorists. The majority of orphanage children are seriously ill and unable to move on their own. 195 children of the regional orphanage in Rovenky were also not evacuated. They cannot evacuate two children tuberculosis institutions in Alchevsk. Decree № 17 of so-called “Council of Ministers of DPR” from 25of June 2014 confirmed cynical and manipulative attitude to children, which prohibits the movement of children outside the Donetsk region. But at the same time the same decree allows to move these children only to the Russian Federation. Also supported by Russia terrorists are recruiting children - soldiers to fight against the Ukrainian army. These facts were recorded by OSCE observation mission. www.euroleader.in.ua

RUSSIA TURNED THE CRIMEA INTO THE TERRITORY OF ITS OWN DESPOTISM. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine commented on report of the unofficial Turkish delegation on the situation of the Crimean Tatars in the Crimea. The Ukrainian ministry said that this report “clearly showed that Russia turned the occupied peninsula into the territory of its own despotism, permissiveness and intolerance”. The report tells about all the major problems of human rights, arising from the occupation by Russia the inalienable part of Ukraine, and enhances facts of other numerous reports prepared by the international observation mission for the protection of Human Rights on the situation in the Crimea. They also describe the conditions, under which the delegation had to work - “constant monitoring, pressure, limitations in communication and travel, as well as the creation of other obstacles by the occupation authorities for the implementation of objective monitoring”. They also fixed a number of other systematic violations of fundamental human rights and freedoms, including restrictions of freedom of speech and harassment of journalists; creation of artificial barriers to access to education and use of native language; restrictions of freedom of assembly and association, lack of fair trial, the existence of real threats to their lives. Ukraine initially supported this initiative of the Turkish side and provided appropriate assistance in its implementation. “We believe that this must be a resolute rebuff to Moscow focused line regarding the forcible imposition of Russian citizenship on the occupied territories and destruction of national identity of the Crimean Tatars, Ukrainian and other nationalities” - Ministry of Foreign affairs of Ukraine declares. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine believes that this situation requires an immediate and clear response from the international community. “Together with other countries we strongly demand from the Russian Federation immediate access and constant presence in the peninsula missions of international organizations to monitor the situation and removal the threats to the security and lives of local people” – Ministry requires. At the end of April, the monitoring group from Turkey visited the Crimea and recorded violations of the rights of Crimean Tatars regarding the usage of the national language, including in education, right in a fair trial, the right on inviolability of private property, freedom of assembly and other violations. President of Turkey Redzhep Taiyip Erdogan sent the report of this group to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Earlier, many times international human rights organizations reported on human rights violations in the Crimea and in particular of Crimean Tatars, but local Crimean government calls these statements exaggeration. In early June, Russian Ministry of foreign affairs urged “not to politicize the Crimean Tatar issue”. www.euroleader.in.ua

SECURITY SERVICE OF UKRAINE PREVENTED AN ATTEMPT TO SPREAD THE “PEOPLE COUNCIL OF BESSARABIA” IN THE ODESSA REGION: THEY EXCLUDED “CONSTITUTION” AND “MANIFEST.”

Security Service also documented the organizational part in the ordered anti-Ukrainian actions of the leader of NGO “Slavic unity” who works under the pseudonym “Odinov” and is hiding in the Crimea. In the Odessa region Russian special services inspired an attempt of spreading of the separatist movement “People Council of Bessarabia.” Security Service of Ukraine blocked the attempt of the criminal spreading of so-called false movement “People Council of Bessarabia”, inspired by the secret services of Russia. Security Service of Ukraine found and blocked the conspiratorial contacts of the coordinator of so-called “People Council of Bessarabia” citizen of the Russian Federation, the former head of the Ministry of State Security Division of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic. It is reasonably suspected of involvement in the Russian secret services activities and now he is in Moscow. They made five sanctioned searches, detention and interrogation of the separatists, who were responsible for communication in anti-Ukrainian movement. One of the detainees, a citizen of Ukraine born in 1953, had to be a public leader of the so-called “People Council of Bessarabia” and then disappear. This information would be a cause of accusation of the Ukrainian security services. At homes of the wreckers in specially equipped caches they seized computers and media materials with the text of the “constitution of People Council of Bessarabia”, “manifest of People Council of Bessarabia”, over 500 copies of the separatist newspaper “Novorossiya” other information materials, payment documents and bank cards, which are probably used to finance anti-Ukrainian activities. Security Service of Ukraine announced the official warning to all detainees regarding the inadmissibility of and responsibility for unlawful conduct under Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

MOSCOW COURT REJECTED THE APPEAL OF SENTSOV REGARDING THE ARREST. Moscow city court considered the appeal of defense of Ukrainian producer Oleg Sentsov for continued restraint and upheld the arrest until 11 July. Sentsov accused of preparing terrorist attacks in the Crimea and illegal turnover of weapons. Sentsov was detained in Simferopol in May 2014. The Russian authorities had added historian Olexiy Chyrniy, Olexander Kolchenko, lawyer Gennadiy Afanasyev, and and wanted, Tsyril, Borkia, Zuykov and Asanov to “the group of Sentsov”. Investigators say that the group, directed by Sentsov, burned buildings of “Russian Community of the Crimea” on April 14 and the local branch of “United Russia” on April 18, 2014. Afanasiev and Chyrniy after their arrest agreed for “cooperation” with the investigation and admitted guilt the court sentenced each of them to 7 years in colony. Sentsov and Kolchenko deny all accusations, insisting that the case was fabricated against them. They also emphasize that their case cannot be considered in the Russian court because they are citizens of Ukraine.

A REPLENISHMENT OF FIVE HUNDRED DISCIPLINED RUSSIAN MERCENARIES CAME IN DONETSK. In Donetsk, they fixed the arrival of the group of militants - 450-500 persons trained in “training camps” of the Russian-terrorist forces in the occupied Crimea and Rostov-on-Don (Russia). Some militants are the residents of the Donbass, but not less than 70% are Russian mercenaries, including amnestied criminals.

“THE TERRORISTS ALWAYS USE TACTICS OF PUTIN – THEY HIDE THEIR POSITIONS BETWEEN THE HOUSES. THEY SHOOT AND WE CANNOT ANSWER,” UKRAINIAN SOLDIERS TELL IN GORLIVKA. There are still fightings near Gorlivka. The separatists fire from mortars, tanks and even use chemical weapons, banned by Geneva Convention. Ukrainian soldiers tell this, they hold the positions near the town. At the same time they demonstrate fragments that smoking even a few days after the shellings.
