PRESCHOOL (AGES 3-5)

This program is a special place for your child to interact with children their own age. We carefully design every activity to expand your child's imagination and encourage lifelong positive values. This class will provide a variety of recreational activities including games, crafts, music, story time and special trips. Children must be able to use the restroom independently.

PRESCHOOL PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Payment Schedule: The first month fee is due upon registration. The monthly payment is due on or before the 1st of each month. You may prepay for as many months as you wish. We do not prorate days missed from the program for unexpected absences or a reduction in days.

If the monthly payment is not paid on or before the first of the month, a $10 late fee will be charged. Please note: Registration for additional months is available online or in person at the Zion Park District Leisure Center office.

PRESCHOOL DANCE & TUMBLING

This class is designed for the young dancer starting out and will allow them to express themselves through creative movement. Basic movement skills and rhythm, will be taught to enhance fine and gross motor skills, cultivate imagination creativity and social development in a caring environment. They will learn listening skills along with boosting self-esteem.

BALLET & TAP

This 45-minute class is the perfect combination of ballet, tap and a little bit of tumbling to teach your little one all the basic movements. Your child will get an amazing dance education while having the time of their life!

DANCIN’ FEET

Our dance program is designed to emphasize basic dance fundamentals, rhythm and movement. This class will combine tap, ballet and dance to learn routines. Bring your tap shoes if desired, not required.

BATON TWIRLING & POMS

Learn the basics of baton twirling in the beginner class and then work your way into the Razzle Dazzles baton teams and corps. All twirlers will be given an opportunity to march in local parades, perform in shows and attend competitions. Baton twirling develops coordination and confidence. Zion Park District offers a wide variety of classes for every level of twirling. Participants will also be taught pom routines. Your child will be measured for a baton on the first day of class if needed.

Do you want to be a content creator but don’t have a space to film or lighting equipment? NEW We will provide the space to plan and film your content as well as the lighting equipment. All you will need to bring is your phone to record.

GLADIATOR BASKETBALL

This new program is all about teaching fundamentals and making sure the athletes get better while having fun! Our coaches are experienced and our mindset towards the game is unique. This program is for the competitive player who wants to take their game to the next level. In these semi-private lessons your kids will be trained by the best. On staff we have former UCLA coach and player Larry Farmer along with former professional players who will train your athlete to the next level.

YOUTH SOCCER

It’s soccer season and 5 Star Sports would love to spend it with you. This soccer program will cover all the basic skills of soccer; dribbling, passing, shooting and goaltending. Shin guards are recommended.

NFRONT YOUTH SPEED & FITNESS TRAINING

Part of the NFRONT Fun Fitness Series, this 50-minute class imitates core elements of our comprehensive youth speed training program and includes drills such as planks, push-ups, crunches and other activities like sled pulls and parachute sprints. Strength training builds muscles and bones, and aerobic benefits help strengthen the cardiovascular and pulmonary muscles, as well as help children keep their weight under control. This class establishes a child’s athletic foundation for improved performance, injury prevention, and longterm enjoyment of sports.

NFRONT YOUTH TRACK & FIELD

Part of the NFRONT Fun Fitness Series, this 50-minute class will cover track & field and the fitness and technical preparation required to execute the many events successfully. Young athletes will try multiple track & field events like sprints, turbo javelin, shot put, broad jumps, mini hurdles, and endurance runs. Classes take place outdoors in grass or indoors in the gym, and the final class concludes in a single-day format where all events are performed, and medals are awarded at the end to each child as a reminder of the hard-work put in to meet the challenge. Correct mechanics and effort are emphasized.

NERF BATTLE ROYAL & VIDEO GAMING

We will transform the gym into an arena for the kids to battle and play fun competitive games. Each week we will have skill challenges where the kids will get to practice and compete in different aspects of Nerf Combat, and then we will have an all-out battle to end out each week. Nerf has many benefits including teamwork, exercise, disciplined fun and learning to balance competition with good sportsmanship. Each child MUST have eye protection to participate. They may bring their own guns, but we will provide the “ammo” in order to prevent losing their equipment. We will finish up the afternoon with one hour of video gaming.
