With a sleek design, top-tier features, and an attractive price, Denago EV is rapidly emerging as a major player in the low-speed vehicle (LSV) market. This dynamic new brand draws its name, "Denago," from the majestic spirit of Mount Denali in Alaska, symbolizing resilience, grandeur, and a towering presence.
A RISING BRAND WITH STRONG FOUNDATIONS
Founded in 2021, Denago EV launched its first models in early 2023. Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, with additional facilities and warehouses in Texas, the company is quickly expanding. In August 2024, Denago invested $60 million into a new Texas assembly plant and warehouse to support its fastgrowing dealer network and meet soaring demand across the U.S.
SIGNATURE DESIGN AND GROWING POPULARITY
One look at a Denago EV is all it takes to recognize its distinctive aesthetic. Inspired by premium designs, including LED lights reminiscent of Tesla, Denago's vehicles combine smooth lines with premium seating and advanced safety and performance features. With over 150 dealers nationwide and plans for international expansion, Denago EV is establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing brands in the U.S.
A MODEL FOR EVERY NEED
Denago currently offers three unique models, each built on a powder-coated aluminum frame for durability and lightweight performance. Here’s a closer look at each:
DENAGO NOMAD: A non-lifted model that delivers a smooth ride at a height of 76.5 inches, featuring radial tires, 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes, and a tilt steering wheel. With a range of 40 miles per charge, the Nomad is praised for its comfort and value. It’s available in six vibrant colors and even caught the attention of USA Today, which described it as offering "features at an unbeatable price."
DENAGO NOMAD XL: This lifted, four-seat version adds versatility with a foldable rear seat, making it perfect for beach days or camping trips. Equipped with rugged tires and a large storage compartment, the Nomad XL is designed for both urban streets and sandy trails. Weighing in at 1,050 pounds, it can carry a payload of
838 pounds and stands 81.5 inches tall.
DENAGO ROVER XL: The ultimate four-seater model, the Rover XL comes with a factory-installed premium sound system, a touchscreen display, and additional storage. With an extended canopy, 23-inch tires, and amenities like USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto®, this model is ready for any adventure. There’s even space to safely secure a child seat in the rear.
POWERFUL PERFORMANCE ACROSS THE BOARD
Denago EVs are equipped with proprietary Lithium 51.2V / 105 Ah batteries, an onboard quick charger, a 5kW motor, and a 400-amp controller. The Rover XL, in particular, is built to handle steep inclines up to 30 degrees and carry payloads up to 882 pounds.
AN INDUSTRY FAVORITE
Matt White, creator of Golf Carting TV®, recently
showcased the Rover XL in an exclusive review. Interviewing Nick DiStasio from Carts Inc. in Fredericksburg, Virginia, White highlighted the impressive feedback the Denago line has received from customers. Features like the Rover XL’s sturdy running boards, vented windshield, and LED light bar make it a standout.
INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY AND FUTURE PLANS
Denago EVs come with an NFID-encrypted card starter, which replaces traditional keys with a convenient tap-and-go feature. Looking ahead, Denago plans to introduce an external inverter and custom lighting kit in 2025 models. The company also announced its upcoming Rover XXL, a six-passenger model, set to launch in early 2025.
If you’re looking for a premium EV that combines cuttingedge design, durability, and exceptional value, Denago EV’s lineup is worth considering.

HOW
TO
MAXIMIZE
REVENUE IN YOUR GOLF CART
SERVICE DEPARTMENT:
ESSENTIAL DO'S AND DON'TS
1. INTRODUCTION
In recent years, the popularity of golf carts has extended well beyond the greens, finding a place in neighborhoods, resorts, industrial complexes, and even urban settings. This increased demand has created significant growth opportunities for service centers that specialize in golf cart maintenance and repairs. However, maximizing revenue in a service department requires more than technical know-how. It involves strategic planning, efficient operations, and a proactive approach to customer relationships.
This article provides key insights into boosting profitability while delivering value to customers. We'll explore various strategies, from offering preventive maintenance packages to building customer trust through quality service, and dive into essential do's and don'ts that will set your service department on a path to sustainable revenue growth.
Whether you're managing a small team or overseeing a larger operation, these practical tips will help your service department not only increase revenue but also strengthen its reputation and customer loyalty in an increasingly competitive market.
2. Understand Your Revenue Streams
• Do: Identify all potential revenue streams—routine maintenance, repairs, customizations, accessory sales, rental services, and battery replacements.
• Don't: Rely only on repair services, as this limits your revenue. Highlighting other services helps create a more sustainable income.
3. Focus on Preventive Maintenance Packages
• Do: Encourage customers to invest in preventive maintenance packages. These can provide a steady revenue stream while keeping customers’ carts in optimal condition.
• Don't: Wait for customers to come in with problems; actively promote these packages at every opportunity.
4. Educate and Upsell Customers
• Do: Train your staff to educate customers about the benefits of additional services or accessories like upgraded tires, weather covers, and seating. Educating can organically lead to upselling.
• Don't: Use pushy sales tactics, which can make customers hesitant to return. Focus on building long-term trust.
5.
Emphasize High-Quality Customer Service
• Do: Ensure staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and proactive. Offer quick turnaround times and clear communication to build a strong reputation.
• Don't: Allow delays to accumulate or give vague timelines. This can damage trust and lead to lost business.
6. Optimize Inventory Management
• Do: Keep a well-organized inventory of the most requested parts and accessories. Efficient inventory can speed up service times and increase customer satisfaction.
• Don't: Overstock items with limited demand, as this ties up capital and can lead to losses if parts become outdated.
7. Implement a Digital Management System
• Do: Use a digital management system to track repairs, schedule maintenance, and manage parts. This can streamline operations and improve transparency.
• Don't: Rely solely on manual processes, which can be prone to errors and lead to missed revenue opportunities.
8. Promotions and Loyalty Programs
• Do: Offer loyalty programs or seasonal promotions to keep customers coming back. Discounts on services during off-peak months can encourage steady revenue.
• Don't: Set discounts too low, which can devalue your services and hurt your bottom line.
9. Employee Training and Development
• Do: Regularly train your team on the latest golf cart technologies, diagnostic tools, and customer service skills. Welltrained staff can handle jobs more efficiently and boost profitability.
• Don't: Neglect training, as unskilled workers can slow down service times, increase errors, and damage customer relations.
10. Conclusion
• Summarize the importance of a balanced approach between revenue-generating strategies and quality service. Emphasize that a well-run service department not only maximizes revenue but also enhances customer satisfaction and loyalty, ensuring long-term success.
VENOM EV
WISCONSIN CART COMPANY CREATES A BUGGY WITH BITE
From their facilities in Monroe, Wisconsin, Venom EV is offering a line of premium carts and EVs that would make America’s Heartland proud.
While there are other cart and LSV manufacturers in cart hotspots like South Carolina, Florida, Texas and others, the team behind Venom EV are making a big name for themselves and experiencing impressive growth in the Midwest and well beyond.
Monroe, Wisconsin is south of Madison, not far from the Illinois line. Business partners Gilbert Moore, James Haney and Zach Krause opened their doors in 2022 and now employ
around 30 employees in their facilities.
Moore explained how he and his partners decided to start a custom cart brand. “I had been operating a small engine sales and repair shop, and we would occasionally take things in on trade,” he explained. “One day we took a golf cart in and decided to refurbish it a bit and resell it. The demand was wild, and we decided to look into getting into the golf cart business.”
Much like in the small engine business, getting the right parts to complete a project successfully is key to customer satisfaction and future growth. “We found that waiting on parts was a major issue when building out that first cart, so we
sourced top-of-the-line suppliers and launched our Venom EV line with the goal of never leaving one of our dealers waiting on parts,” said Moore.
The company currently has a network of about 85 dealers and that number is growing quickly. When you take a close look at the Venom EV lineup of models, it’s easy to see why.
PREMIUM COMFORT AND PERFORMANCE IN A VARIETY OF CONFIGURATIONS
Whether you intend to use your cart for a round of golf, transport the family around your lake property or enjoy a weekend at your hunting camp, Venom EV offers a model sure to match your needs.
The Course Strike is a 2-seat EV designed and built for ultimate enjoyment on the golf course. It is available in a lifted and non-lifted version and features an impressive array
of standard features like a 105Ah LifePO4 Lithium battery, 52V controller, 5kW KDS motor, 52V vehicle load charger, hydraulic disc brakes on all corners and dual independent front suspension. Venom recently inked an agreement with EcoBattery®, one of the most prominent manufacturers of lithium ion batteries in the market, to provide advanced power and range to all of their EVs.
All Venom EVs come with a steel chassis e-coated for maximum rust prevention and are available in a gorgeous array of 16 body colors, plus 5 color-matched upholstery colors. When it comes to more technology and innovation, all Venom models also come with a 10-inch touchscreen display with adjustable brightness control, back up camera, Bluetooth® and Apple Car Play® audio connectivity, GPS phone navigation connectivity, backlit analog clock display, 12V, USB & PD (Type C) ports and more.

The 4-Seater Strike is a stunning cart with 2 rear-facing seats perfect for cruising the neighborhood with family and friends. This cart also comes in a lifted and non-lifted version, measures 115-inches in length and 81-iches tall for the lifted version with a minimum ground clearance of 6.25-inches. The running board foot assist feature is perfect on the lifted configuration.
The 6-Seater Strike is a true people mover, ideal for the weekend vacation retreat, school or medical campus, real estate development site or anywhere 6 passengers need to be transported in style, comfort and safety. This beauty comes with a full-length molded roof for protection from the elements for all passengers, plus all the other premium Venom EV standard features.
At the time of this article being written, Moore announced Venom’s newest model, the 4-Strike Forward Seating model, based on customer demand. “We decided to offer a 4-seater with forward facing rear seats with plenty of leg and head room for 4 adults,” he said.
These rear wheel drive EVs also feature dual coil over independent rear suspension with a stability bar on the 2024 models, bidirectional rack and pinion steering, full DOTapproved lighting front and rear and the ability to adjust the settings on the regenerative braking system and torque
control.
Venom EV models come equipped with eye-catching custom wheels from MODZ®, one of the industry leaders in custom cart accessories, and premium steel radial tires. The visual appeal and ride comfort of a Venom EV are the perfect combination.
For those who want to add a bit more customization to their cart, Venom offers their Party Pack, sure to turn heads up at the club. These options include the ability to change the intensity and colors of your LED lighting around your dash, seats, floorboards and under the vehicle manually or even by voice, offering a stunning array of ambient options and increasing your visibility at night for added safety. Customers can also add a golf bag rack, cooler, license tag light kit and custom running boards, large front storage basket, and custom vehicle covers.
“We’re really proud of how our team has created the Venom brand, and super excited about how cart dealers across the country have received our vehicles,” Moore says.
The company is looking forward to showcasing their models again at the 2025 PGA Show in Orlando in late January 2025. For more information,

MIDWEST CARTZ
SOUTHWEST FLORIDA DEALER ESTABLISHING A STRONG FOOTHOLD
Since they opened their doors in 2022, Midwest Cartz has become a prominent player in the Southwest Florida cart industry.
Business partners Kyle Regas and Axel Arellano have been close friends for over ten years and share a passion for business and customer service. Kyle’s background includes operating a construction business as well as restoration and flipping of everything from motorcycles to furniture, and Axel has owned
and operated a kickboxing gym in Illinois, made successful by his grasp of business operation and marketing.
“We always knew some day our friendship would lead to being involved in starting a new business and our backgrounds and interaction have lead to amazing success in the cart business,” Regas said. “We are always coming up with new innovations and ideas to grow Midwest Cartz and to stay ahead of the curve through our 100% dedication to serving
our customers with professionalism and integrity every step of the way.”
The company opened their first facility in Fort Myers, Florida, and recently launched their second showroom and manufacturing facility in Naples about 20 miles to the south along the Gulf Coast. Regas points out, “This area is not only filled with hundreds of golf courses and gated golf communities, but dozens of newer residential communities are being built to be cart-friendly, so this region made perfect sense to us.”
Midwest Cartz is an authorized dealer for Atlas® Carts, an industry leader in premium carts and low speed vehicles perfect for families. When the partners were establishing their business, they did a lot of due diligence in seeking out the best option for providing their customers with the ultimate personal EV.
Kyle and Axel researched their options, visiting golf cart hot spots like South Carolina, Texas, California, and other regions and determined Atlas was the right fit for them. “I am continually impressed with the levels at which Atlas and their people will go to improve their dealer’s business and effectiveness,” Kyle says. “We’re one of their largest dealers in the country, and a lot of it is due to not only their superior carts but their dedication to our business and customer service needs.”
Midwest Cartz has full service and parts departments at both locations, and they do a lot of cart refurbishment, regular maintenance, and service work. Their techs will work on any cart brand in their shops and also at the customer’s location.
Atlas Carts Technology and Advanced Innovation a Key to Success Atlas is based in Texas, and offers fully equipped 2, 4 and 6-passenger vehicles. They come with either a 105Ah or 210Ah lithium battery that offers an impressive increase in range. The chassis is all aluminum, and the 5KW AC Nidec® motor and
golfcartreview
400A Nidec controller provide plenty of smooth acceleration and power. Another new upgrade is the company’s lifetime warranty on their motors, controllers, and rear tans-axle components for original owners through their partnership with Nidec®. The company knows that this will be a huge advantage for the dealers in their 130-plus nationwide dealer network, and Midwest Cartz is proud to be one of them.
Other standard Atlas features include the wireless cell phone charging system, locking storage compartments, fourwheel hydraulic disc brakes, three-point DOT seat harnesses, multiple cupholders and much more. Their distinctive body styling stands out in a sea of uninspired cart body designs, with sweeping lines and a striking futuristic look.
Atlas carts come standard with dozens of comfort, safety, and design features that you won’t find on a lot of competitors’ vehicles, so customers have a wide range of models from which to choose that will suit their needs right off the showroom floor.
If a customer wants to add a bit more bling and custom personalization of their Atlas cart, Midwest Cartz has them covered.
“From custom paint, seating and upholstery, powder coating, upgraded audio systems, wheel and tire configurations, custom lighting - whatever the customer wants, we’re able to make it happen,” Regas says.
Midwest Cartz had a booth at the 2024 PGA Show in Orlando in January, and the partners are excited to be returning for the 2025 show. Regas said, “Everyone was very positive about our carts and how we run our business, and we look forward to establishing many more relationships for mutually beneficial success going forward.”
Regas loves being a hands-on owner operator of Midwest Cartz and being actively involved with every individual customer interaction from start to finish. “To us, customer service is easily the most important aspect of our cart business,” he says. “You can offer the best carts on the planet, but if the customer is not happy with your attention to details and service, they’ll go somewhere else and won’t come back.”
“I love golf carts and happily will turn wrenches or whatever else it takes to make sure our customers receive the best cart available and are able to have it maintained to the highest standards.”
OWNER Matt Warne from WestLake, Florida
WHAT YEAR, BRAND, AND MODEL IS YOUR CART?
This is an old-style Bronco on a 2023 Navitas chassis.
TELL US ABOUT THIS CUSTOM BUILD.
This is my first build! I got the fiberglass body from Finley McRae at Golfin Garage and ordered a 2023 Navitas rolling chassis from a Tampa-based company. For power, I added a 72V Bolt Energy lithium battery.
The project involved countless trips to Home Depot and Ace Hardware, plus lots of Amazon orders. Once I finished assembling everything, I took it apart again to send the body for painting at a local shop. The color is Ford’s “Brittany Blue.” My wife played a big role in helping out. I’d often ask, “Hey babe, can you hold this?” or “What do you think about this?” She’s definitely happy the project is finally done— haha!
WHAT AFTERMARKET PARTS DID YOU USE?
Most of the parts came from Amazon, eBay, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware. Here’s the list:
Navitas Rolling Chassis, Fiberglass Bronco Body Shell (Golfin Garage), Bolt Energy 72V Lithium Battery, Custom Seats (WheelzLLC.com), Custom Paint (Auto Art of Boynton Beach), FNR Rotary Switch, Custom 2GA Cables
Heavy-Duty Steering Stabilizer, Diamond Plate Rubber Floor Mat
Hitch Mount and Step, LED Headlights, Tail Lights, and Turn Signal Kit, GPS Speedometer, Tailgate Spring Latches, Boss Marine Bluetooth Stereo, Marker Lights, 2” Front Wheel Spacers, Acrylic Windshield, Chrome Emblems and Steering Wheel
WERE THERE ANY CUSTOM-MADE PARTS OR FABRICATIONS?
Yes! I inlaid wood into the windshield frame on three sides and sealed it with resin. For the windshield brackets, I used 1/4” x 1” steel, which I cut, smoothed, and drilled holes into. My wife and I bent diamond plate pieces to fit by clamping them between wood in a workbench vise. That night involved some choice words and a few cuts! We also cut and applied outdoor matte vinyl to the front grill instead of painting it—it turned out great.
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF—HOW DID YOU GET INTO CART BUILDING?
I’m a police officer in South Florida. I’ve always enjoyed working on my 2022 Icon i40L, upgrading it with a 48V Eco Lithium battery and a Navitas 600A controller. Once I reached the limits of modifying my Icon, I wanted a new challenge. That’s when I decided to build this Bronco cart in my garage. Along the way, I picked up new tools and even learned how to work with fiberglass.
WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS?
I’m looking forward to enjoying this cart and turning heads wherever I go. I also plan to showcase it at the “Wheels of WestLake” car show.
NEWEST MODEL! INTRODUCING ICON EV’S
With their usual knack for adapting to the demands of the marketplace, ICON EV® has just launched their newest model in their impressive ICON Family of brands.
ICON was launched in 2017 by Roy Williams, and Sean Heatley is their Chief Operating Officer. The company operates from facilities in Tampa, Florida, where they build the ICON vehicles, and also in Huntersville, North Carolina, where the EPIC carts are built. These brands are available at more than 350 dealers across the country. EPIC is the luxury brand within the ICON family of Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs).
The New E40FX
Just added to the ICON lineup is this stunning new forward-facing 4-seater LSV. This exciting model launch adds to the many other configurations of available cart models. The features that come standard on the E40FX are impressive and sure to provide a satisfying carting experience for owners.
The E40FX features 14-inch radial street tires for an ultra-smooth ride, a large lit ‘frunk’ storage compartment on the front cowl plus a removable rear storage trunk, storage under the rear seat and locking glove compartments in the dash. The dash is beautifully
illuminated with stunning lighting, along with side panel and roof lighting systems. Adding to the premium features are the EcoXGear® 360 Amp marine-grade audio system with four 6.5-inch speakers.
Other key comforts include the wireless phone charging pad, 10-inch multimedia dash display monitor, backup camera and even a convenient umbrella holder. The styling and creature comforts resemble a fine quality automotive feel, with a tilt steering wheel, automotive style horn, push button start, multiple cup holders, 3-point DOT-compliant seat restraints and much more.
When it comes to power and mechanical components, EPIC spares nothing to provide a smooth, long-range ride, superior mechanical control, and industry-leading safety features. The carts come with EcoBattery® 51V/105Ah lithium batteries, a 6.3 kW
motor, 450Ah controller and an onboard 48V charging system. Every vehicle within the ICON brand family is sure to provide endless hours of family fun and reliable performance.
This LSV comes with 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes, an emergency brake release lever, double wishbone independent front suspension, and rear leaf spring and coil over shocks providing the most comfortable ride available. Another appealing feature of this new model is the ability for dealers to easily adjust the ride height from lifted to a mid-lift or non-lifted height based on the customer’s preference.
As always, safety is a top priority for all ICON LSVs.
The LED front combination lights include low-lights, high beams, turn signals, daytime running lights (DRLs), and charger indicator light. The dual lit side mirrors keep your
surroundings in view, and oncoming and passing traffic aware of your next move. The LED rear lights include taillights, brake lights, back-up lights, and hazard lights.
When Roy Williams launched ICON EV, he dedicated their mission to building the finest quality electric carts in the industry, and the new EPIC E40FX is their latest demonstration of that pursuit of excellence.
"We believe this is the nicest golf cart built in America," Williams said. COO Sean Heatley added the ultimate carting summation, saying, "The new E40FX is bad ass!"
Gas UP & GO the Distance with the ICON G-Series
After identifying a need to provide vehicles with greater power in the LSV industry, ICON launched their G-Series line of gas-powered carts earlier this year. These power houses offer incredible torque and are available in four lifted and non-lifted models catering to 4-6
passengers.
The G-Series vehicles offer a top speed of 25 mph, an estimated fuel range of approximately 150+ miles, and are powered by a 401cc EFIA03, 13.5HP motor with electronic fuel injection. Other benefits include the nochoke starting system and a 4.3-gallon fuel tank. This gas-powered golf car is the only gas-powered LSV on the market that can be fully street legal (in almost every state) and is equipped with the exceptional 4-wheel hydraulic disc braking system that ICON has perfected.
“We are thrilled to offer the very best - and only - line of gas-powered Low Speed Vehicles with our signature 4-wheel disc brakes available on the market today,” said Williams.
No matter what style or configuration of cart you’re looking for, the ICON family of LSVs offers something for everyone.

Q: My batteries are old and seem to be on their way out. Is there a way to revive them?
A: When your deep-cycle battery nears the end of its life, it's natural to want to get as much use out of it as possible before investing in a new one. Numerous online videos suggest various methods to revive a dead or dying battery, often using different substances and DIY hacks. The truth is, multiple factors can cause poor battery performance and failure, so it's essential to diagnose the symptoms before attempting a solution. It’s also important to understand that many so-called “cures” can damage the battery, pose safety risks, or fail to improve its performance.
Epsom Salt
One of the more common "tricks" involves adding Epsom salt to the battery cells. While adding Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) to a lead-acid battery can artificially increase the specific gravity (SG) reading, it does not increase the sulfuric acid concentration and therefore does nothing to improve battery performance.
This is because the sulfates in Epsom salt are bonded as magnesium sulfate, making them unavailable to contribute to the discharge process as sulfuric acid does. If you were to fill a new lead battery with a magnesium sulfate solution instead of sulfuric acid, it would have no capacity at all. In other words, adding Epsom salt doesn’t restore the battery’s capacity; it only artificially raises the SG reading.
Replacing Electrolyte
Similarly, if you were to replace the diluted electrolyte in a discharged or sulfated battery with a higher SG electrolyte (like that of a fully charged battery, typically 1.270 SG), the specific gravity might increase, but the battery plates would remain discharged or sulfated. Attempting this could likely destroy a battery that might otherwise have been recoverable.
Baking Soda and Aspirin
Other popular hacks include adding baking soda to “revive” a dead battery. While baking soda mixed with water is useful for cleaning battery tops and terminals, as it neutralizes sulfuric acid and acid-based corrosion, adding it to battery cells will neutralize the sulfuric acid in the electrolyte. This forms sodium sulfate, which does not participate in the normal battery discharge process, permanently reducing the battery’s capacity—which was likely already low.
Another hack often seen in videos is adding aspirin to the battery. Aspirin, or acetylsalicylic acid, eventually decomposes into acetic acid, which attacks the positive lead dioxide plates in the battery and permanently damages them. While this might provide a slight, temporary boost in capacity, it quickly leads to the battery’s failure.
Pulse Charging
If your battery is sulfated—leading to low power and difficulty charging to full capacity—it may sometimes be recoverable through pulse charging techniques. However, there are numerous pulse charging methods, using varying voltages, currents, and AC frequencies, with a wide variety of equipment marketed for this purpose. If not performed correctly, pulse charging can do more harm than good. Most pulse chargers use an external power source (such as wall AC) to power the device, while some rely on the battery’s own voltage to generate pulses. If left connected too long without a separate charger, this can harm the battery.
Recommended Approach
Ultimately, the best approach for potentially recovering a sulfated battery is to save your money and try a long, slow charge. If you have a battery charger with a reconditioning or equalizing charge mode, this is your best option. Using the equalization charge mode about once a month on deep-cycle lead-acid batteries can extend their lifespan by preventing sulfation and stratification. Regular equalization charges balance individual cells and mix the electrolyte properly. Additionally, a long, slow charge may help slightly recover sulfated batteries. If your charger lacks an equalization mode, you can simulate one by allowing the charger to complete a regular charge, unplugging it, then restarting it to continue charging for another 1–3 hours. However, if the battery has failed due to poor maintenance, excessive deep cycling, overcharging, or excessive discharging, recovery may not be possible.
Conclusion
Following the manufacturer's recommended care and maintenance procedures is the best way to ensure your battery’s longevity and performance.
Q: I am looking for a new charger. I see a wide range of price ranges. What should I go with?
A: The saying goes, you get what you pay for and this old proverb applies in this situation as well. Buying the lowest price charger (sub $100) almost always means it will charge at a low amperage (~5 amp) which is insufficient to efficiently charge deep cycle batteries. Not to mention the quality of the components are..well.. cheap. These kinds of "budget" chargers are more of a maintenance charger if anything. Look for a charger at least 12 amps or greater to properly charge your AGM/ Lead Acid batteries as they charge through different stages for peak charging efficiency. A few well-known name brands such as Summit, DeltaQ, MODZ, Accusense, and Eagle Performance are a few examples of quality brands that will stand the test of time and are safe to use as well.
