Tired of writing the same text over and over again? Anytime you type text into an application, Presto can help you do it faster and more accurately! Whether it's your name, your e-mail address, the URL of your blog, your personal address, etc, you probably often find yourself typing the same text again and again. Presto is here to help you save time by 'typing' these frequently used items for you. Just choose your list of abbreviations, and Presto will automatically show you related texts as you type. With Presto, you will be able to quickly insert standard greetings, signatures (including formatted text) or phrases into any application. For example, instead of typing your address in full, you would simply type 'Addr1' and Presto would come up with our full address. Once you define an abbreviation, it is available at all times, anywhere text can be typed, no matter what application you are using! The main window

TUTORIAL 1. Create a new abbreviation Click on the + button at the bottom of the window to create your new abbreviation. If you want, you can create before a group but it始s not mandatory. Groups just allows you to organize in a better way your abbreviations.

2. Enter your abbreviation We will create an abbreviation to quickly enter our postal address. Only your imagination is the limit. You can create abbreviations for any subject. Choose a shortcut that is not difficult to remember and also not too close to a regular text. We decided to put the two first letters uppercase. You will understand later why.

Itʼs where we will select the option “this shortchut is case sensitive”. Like that, we are sure that the abbreviation will not be confused with other text. This is optionnal but you will see that itʼs more reliable to use abbreviations in such way. 5. We are done ! Now all abbreviations are available to any application. Try for example to open TextEdit located in the applications folder. Type AAddress in the main window. You will see a window appearing with a nice ripple effect. If the typed text matches the abbreviation, the related text will appear automatically. Otherwise, if Presto find similar abbreviations, you will have to select the correct one in the window. To select the correct abbreviation, use the arrow keys of your keyboard (up/down). The selected abbreviation will flash with a nice effet. Then you can use the key “Return” of your keyboard to validate it.

Now you can add as many abbreviations you want in the list. We hope you will enjoy Presto as we love it.
