Arrive at the Cathedral city of Bangor, the oldest city in Wales and one of the smallest in the United Kingdom and take a 25 minute walk to the award winning Garth Pier. 01 Leave the train station and walk east towards Station Road/A4087 02 Continue straight onto Deiniol Road/A5. emphasis on Gwynedd and you will also be able to see the gothic style building on the hill of Saint Deiniol’s Cathedral. 03 Turn left onto Garth Road 04 Turn left to arrive at Garth Pier, a Grade II listed structure on the outskirts of the town. At 1,500 feet (460 m) in length, it is the second-longest pier in Wales, and the ninth longest in the British Isles providing great views across to Anglesey.
