Production Bios Mr. Paul Buckley ‘86 (Producer) has been running the theatre for 12 years now. He is very grateful to his production team for all of their talent and dedication, with a special shoutout to Kevin for coming back to the Gonzaga stage. He wants to thank the kids, especially the seniors, for how they handled the snow and the cancellations and for making life easier for him when they could’ve made it harder. And he is forever indebted to Monica for being so generous as to let him do this while she takes care of the kids. Now if that third one can just stay in there for one more week, we’ll be all set! Mr. Kevin Fay ‘02 (Choreographer) began dancing at The Joy of Motion Dance Center in Bethesda, Maryland. After moving to Chicago to attend Northwestern University, Kevin continued dancing at both Northwestern and The Ruth Page Foundation School of Dance, where he performed with The Civic Ballet of Chicago. Over summers, Kevin trained with The Ailey School, American Ballet Theatre, The Taylor School, and The Lou Conte Dance Studio. Since leaving Chicago in 2007, Kevin has danced professionally with The Dayton Ballet of Ohio and Dana Tai Soon Burgess & Company of Washington, D.C. Currently, Kevin lives in New York City as a freelance dancer working in performing arts marketing and management. He couldn’t be happier to return to his alma mater and work where it all began for him, so thank you to Mr. Buckley, Mr. Schlegel, Doc Warman, Mr. L’Etoile, Michael Bobbitt, and everyone else who has supported him on his journey thus far. He will always be grateful for his incredible family, friends, and teachers. He could not have done anything without the love and support of his wonderful, wonderful parents. Congratulations cast!! Break a leg! Mrs. Meghan Goldsmith (Producer) is thrilled that she’s going to actually be around for opening night this time. After spending more than enough time away from both the fall and spring productions due to evil drug defying germs, she would like to take this moment to thank her incredible co-producer Paul for picking up her slack, and his lovely wife Monica for being so understanding. Thank you to the kids and the rest of the production staff for being so dedicated and enthusiastic, and a special shout out to the house crew on a job well done. And as always, she wouldn’t be nearly half as happy to spend all of this time at Gonzaga if she didn’t have such a wonderful husband and son to come home to. “I love you, Dan & Matty!”

Mr. Allan L’Etoile ‘73 (Assistant Director) has directed here a long time and really likes working with all the kids. Because he gets to work with them, he is very happy and thinks he has the best job in the world. Mr. Roger Schlegel ‘83 (Director) is thrilled to be back as the director of “Li’l Abner.” He thanks the kids on the cast, crew and band for all their hard work and dedication, the adults for their committment, and his wife Sascha, and their children Theo and Ainsley for their love. Mr. Robert Theriaque (Technical Director) thanks his crew, especially the managers, Michael, Patrick, and Steve for their leadership and example. As always, he recognizes the support of his wife Teresa, the light of his life. Dr. John C. Warman ’57 (Musical Director) is back for his sixty-ninth show and second Li’l Abner in the Gonzaga Theatre. As a student he appeared in the Mission Variety Shows of 1956 and 1957, and as a faculty member has been involved in the production, direction, and musical direction of Oedipus Rex (1967), two alumni revues (1996 and 2006), and sixty-four productions of fifty different musicals (1968 to the present). He is a teacher of Greek and Latin by day and an organist and choirmaster on weekends. In 1999 he was inducted into the Gonzaga Theatre Hall of Fame as its inaugural member.

The World’s Dirtiest Wrestler

Bios Timmy Anderson (Stage Crew) is a junior at Gonzaga and this is his second GDA production. He would like to thank his friends and family, especially Mariah Rollins. This is Patrick Armstrong’s (Stage Crew) 4th play. After a semester long hiatus touring with his new age Irish folk project last year, Patrick is back on stage crew and more invigorated than ever. He would like to thank all of his fellow cast and Mr. Theriaque.

Wasn’t Always So Dirty... Congrats, Joe Boston, on a great show! Your Biggest Fans, Mom, Dad & Drew

Congratulations to the Cast & Crew of Li’l Abner With Love From The Demspey Family

Andrew August (Stage Crew) has been a part of the GDA for almost two years now, and Li’l Abner is his fourth production. He loves mountain dew, loud music, movies about pointless things, and writing bios a day past their due date hoping to God Mrs. Goldsmith will accept them. Jimmy Beh (Cedric Softwicke/2nd Colonel) would like to thank his family and friends for their support. Kevin Berry (Cronie/After Husband) is so excited to be in his fourth GDA Production. He wants to thank the amazing cast for being so amazing especially his gaga inspired friends. “Thank you Mr. L’Etoile and Mr. Schlegel for pushing us as hard as you can, the audience is really going to appreciate it. Thank you Mom, Dad, Kayla, Paige, and the rest of the family for always being there. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did.” Joe Boston (Earthquake McGoon) is a junior at Gonzaga. This is his 5th show. He is stoked to be Earthquake and would like to thank his family and his incredible directors, Mr. Schlegel and Mr. L’Etoile, and Dani and Liza Manfred. Dominic Campion (Assistant Co-House Manager) rips, skips, quips, parkours. Ushers all day. Kevin Carty (Stage Crew) is a 17 year-old junior on stage crew. He would like to thank stage crew, the fearsome foursome, Christina, Dunky P, the Taco Bell at Union, and Guerber for each being awesome. Don’t lick the theater! Despite the administration’s desperate pleas, this is Will Clemens’ (Co-House Manager) last GDA show. The entire performance hinges on his epic guiding skills. Check carefully in scene 3, and you might be lucky enough to see him helping late person #3 to their seat. More importantly, he and Denis, are literally better than Broadway ushers. Speaking of, thank you Denis, that’s all.

Lizzie Connolly (Stage Crew), a junior at Georgetown Visitation, loves being on stage crew and would like to thank Mr. T and Mr. Buckley for giving her such a grand opportunity. God bless George Clooney and splendid evenings full of succulent steak and NCIS. Brendan Creamer (Lonesome Polecat) wants to thank everyone in the cast for being so much fun especially Danie (she’s the coolest person ever). He is a junior appearing in his first but hopefully not last GDA performance. His other activities include varsity football, Outdoors club, Retreat team, and spring track. Ryan Creamer (After Husband/Waiter) would like to thank his family and friends for their support. Helen Marie Cummings (Scarlett/PartyGuest/Unwashable Scragg) is a homeschooled freshman. Family: Cummings, Species: Helen Marie, Habitat: Virginia, Fur Color: Chestnut, Diet: French cuisine, Habits: Tennis, gourmet baking, ice skating, latin dancing. Natural Enemies: any insect. Danie Curtis-Williams (Unbearable Scragg/Party Guest) is so excited to be in her first show. She loves being in GDA, it’s what gets her through those long days at Visi. She wants to thank everyone who has helped her, especially her fellow Visi girls! Danie is an Aries in addition to enjoying long moonlight walks on the beach. Cooper D’Anton (Stage Crew) is on stage crew for the spring musical, Li’l Abner. He is a junior at Gonzaga and he loves every minute of it. This is his second production with GDA and he is excited. His hero is Mr. Theriaque because he is obviously the coolest guy ever. Anthony Dahut (Mayor Dan’l Dawgmeat) is a junior and is thrilled to be a part of his third GDA production. He wants to thank the house and stage crews, and everyone who takes the Red Line in the direction of Glenmont.

Caroline, You are so much fun to have as a little sister. You light up the stage as much as you light up my life. I love you! Katie

to Jimmy Beh and the Cast & Crew of Li’l Abner!

Congratulations to the Cast & Crew of

Michael Dempsey (Dr. Smithborn/Party Guest) “Some things come naturally to me looks, humility, looks. But for everything else, I have to rely on your help. So tonight, I have three things to be grateful for. For my parents, who I love so much. For God, who put me here tonight. And for you, who has been with me on this journey since the beginning. Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can’t lose.” Abbey Doherty (Moonbeam McSwine) is a SEN10R at Visitation and has loved her past 4 years frantically frolicking across the Gonzaga stage. She is sad to be leaving, but she knows the sun will always come out tomorrow and there is always a place for us, even if costs seven and a half cents and even if that place is Dogpatch, USA. She will always keep her glorious memories of the GDA close to her heart. Thank you: Schlegel Bagel, Ms. Lodato, Mr. L, Mr. B, Mrs. G & all the cast (especially those super fly SEN10RS), for making this the best! Shout outs to the family, the chaks, and all her visi girls. Oh yeah and carpool, you give love a bad name, but and girls we will always be DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN DOWN.

Michael For Eight Great Shows,

The Front Page Annie A Midsummer Night’s Dream West Side Story

The Miracle Worker The Pajama Game Cyrano: The Remix Li’l Abner

Dear Reader, this is Andrew Donilon’s (Stage Crew) 3rd show which he is so proud of. He is writing this on set. He would like to thank August for feeding him and wood minions for being loyal. He hopes you enjoy the show. Ahmen. Michael Douglas (Stage Manager) is a senior in his 8th and final show with the GDA. He has previously been in TFP, Annie, AMND, WSS, TMW, TPG, and Cyrano. He would like to thank his parents, his brother, his friends, and Mr. T, Mr. L’Etoile, and Mr. Buckley for all of their help over the last four years. Is this an ad for match.com? Natalie Gilly Dreyer (Wife) too loves romantic walks on the beach. But most importantly she loves to LIVE LAX. Her aspiration in life is to be a time study woman. Stephen Ernst (Light Manager) is going to miss everything about Gonzaga. Yeah, that’s right, this bio just got sentimental. But seriously, being a senior has made Steve appreciate everything so much, even Mr. T’s amazing personality. Keep a look out for Steve and his band of merry men doing the Light Crew Theme Nights© up in the balcony. Finally, to the person in seat L29, Steve is sitting right above you at the light board! (Come say hi.) Corey Ferrick (Stage Crew) is very excited to participate in his first show at Gonzaga. Although this will be his first big step into theatre, he is looking forward to it, and hopes it will be the first of many great experiences. Corey would like to wish luck to the cast and crew of Li’l Abner. Break a Leg! Kerry Flanagan (Wife) is excited and saddened to be in her 6th and final GDA production (Annie, Midsummer, WSS, PJGame, Cyrano). She will miss the GDA more than anything and would like to thank her friends fellow cast members, and the production staff for making the GDA her most treasured high school experience. She would also like to thank her family, especially her brothers for introducing her to the world of GDA all those years ago. Hello, world - it’s Demario! This is Demario Ford’s (Romeo Scragg/ Dogpatcher) third musical with GDA, and he’s loving it so far. When he’s not rehearsing for Li’l Abner, he’s taking classical ballet classes at The Washington Ballet. Dance is his passion, and it fuels everything that he does, also photography!! So yea, that’s about it, hope you enjoy the show!!

You were a man for the sets. Congratulations! Mom, Dad & Andrew

Connor Forrester (Colonel Belicose/Evil Eye Fleagle/Horse) is a junior at Gonzaga and is ecstatic to be in his sixth GDA production. He would like to thank all the fellow members of the GDA for putting up with him since freshman year. He would also like to thank his family for always being there for him, his friends, and as always, Bruce Springsteen.

Andrea is most appreciative of hugs, smiles, coca-cola, and Brian.

Sarah Jenks (Appassionata Von Climax/Dogpatcher/Horse) is a junior at Archbishop Spalding High School and is Appassionately excited to be in her 6th Gonzaga show! Previously Helen Keller, Babe, Colleen. She wants to thank God and everyone who has made GDA the true climax of her High School experience :) Garrett Johns, (Pappy Yokum) Junior, Gonzaga: loves romantic walks on the beach, and candlelight dinners for two. He likes pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. He’d love nothing more than watching Chocolat or Sleepless in Seattle.

Zach Gillis (Cronie/After Husband) would like to thank his family and friends for their support.

Brandon Johnson (Cronie) is super excited to be in his first show. And is so happy to have the chance to be on stage!

Mikey Glynn (Before Husband/Party Guest) hopes you enjoy the show.

Brendan Johnson (Government Man/Party Guest) is super excited to be in his first Gonzaga play. He wants to thank his friends and family for their support. And also Reagan Shawn and Kevin Nolan. L.A.B.

Nelson Gomes (Dr. Krogmeyer/Party Guest/Soldier) would like to thank his family and friends for their support. Peter Guerber (Stage Crew) is a senior at Gonzaga in his eighth and final show. He would like to thank everyone for making his time in the GDA a memorable experience, especially his stage crew bros, Mr. T and the rest of the production staff, duck tape, caution tape, danger tape, and the flashlights that actually work. He’d also like to thank the audience for being awesome and recognizing the *true* stars of the show.

This is Eliot L. Johnson, II (Marryin’ Sam) 8th and final show here in the GDA and he has enjoyed performing for you all over the past 4 years. His favorite roles include McCue (TFP), CJ (CDB), Charlie (PJG), and Marryin’ Sam (Abner). He would like to thank his ever caring production staff (Mr. Schlegel, Mr. Buckley, Mr. Theriaque, Mrs. Goldsmith, Mr. L’Etoile, and Mrs. Lodato), along with his mom, brother and sister. “I hope you enjoy the show! I’ll miss you, GDA!”

Pat Gunawan (Loft Manager) is a senior and this is his 4th show. He is happy that he could contribute as Loft Manager and is happy that he was able to build a wonderful set with such a great stage crew.

Sean Kerrigan (Alf Scragg/Before Husband) is pumped to be in his first GDA performance. He is much better looking than his character, Alf Scragg. Both Alf and Sean have the same taste in style. He enjoys square dancing at mixers and yodeling in the shower. Thanks to all his family and friends for coming to support him.

Maggie Hanlon (Production Assistant) is not really sure what her specific title is in this production, but is musically challenged and enjoys helping out anyway!

Colleen L’Etoile (Unthinkable Scragg/Dogpatcher) is a freshman at Visitation. She is pumped for Li’l Abner and would like to give a shout out to her crazy friends and family :)

Philip Helget (Government Man/Party Guest) would like to begin by thanking Jason Segel and Neil Patrick Harris for continuous creative inspiration. He really doesn’t have anything else to say except watch How I Met Your Mother on CBS, Monday at 8!

Nathan L’Etoile (Dr. Rasmussen T. Finsdale/Party Guest) is happy to be in his third Gonzaga play. He especially wants to thank his father for all his guidance, and the Seniors for theirs as well.

John Hogan (Co Assistant House Manager) rips, skips, quips, parkours. Ushers all day. Anthony Holland (Available Jones) is thrilled to be in his first production with the GDA Michael Irving (Stage Crew) hopes that you enjoy the show.

Caroline Lang (Radio Commentator/Dogpatcher) is so happy to be in her 5th-ish, 6th-ish, or 7th-ish Gonzaga show (depending on how you define “in.”) She would like to thank Mr. L’Etoile and Mr. Schlegel for the random-est/funnest parts ever, Mr. Buckley for being so cheerful, Meghan for being so beautiful, Mr. Theriaque for being Mr. Theriaque, Maggie Hanlon for thanking her so many times in her bio this past fall, Joe so he doesn’t get jealous that she thanked Maggie and not him, Mom and Dad for life and love, and everyone ever involved with the GDA--yeah, that’s a lot of people, but it wouldn’t be what it is without each and every one of you.

From Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farms to Betty of Dogpatch, We can hardly wait to see what’s next! All love and encouragement, Soph and Dave

Congratulations, Katie!

Denis Leahy (Co House Manager) is a senior and hoping that he showed you to your seat this show. You just can’t trust that Will Clemens kid, there’s something fishy about him. He would like to thank the entire GDA for embracing him with open arms. Before, he tended to think of himself as a one-man wolf pack. But after his first show, he knew that his wolfpack grew. He would also like to take this opportunity to switch sides and endorse Bear Grylls in the race against time. Izzi Lynn, (Betty/Party Guest) a freshman at Visitation, would like to thank Mr. Schlegel, GDA, Teddy, and Sweet Baby Jesus for this opportunity. Oh yeah, I love you Maggie. Liza Manfred (Wife) could not be happier to be in her seventh Gonzaga show and is in complete denial about it being her last. So happy to have her fellow Visitation seniors back, rehearsal just gets better and better. She would like to send huge thanks and love to her family for never letting her forget that “the world needs ditch diggers too,” the grassy knoll for the best lunches ever, and her irreplaceable carpools - you had huge shoes to fill and you stepped right in. Live it up! Nicholas Marcou (Senator Jack S. Phogbound/Party Guest) is thrilled to be in his 6th and final production in the GDA. He would like to thank his family for their support, Mr. Buckley, Mr. Schlegel, and Mr. L’Etoile for their direction over the years, and Mrs. Goldsmith for all of her hard work. Also, Nick was psyched that he got to yell a whole lot as Senator Phogbound. Teddy Marcou (Hairless Joe/After Husband) would like to thank his mom, dad, and family, Mr. Buckley, Mr. Schlegel, and all people who contributed to this astounding musical production. “Mo’ money, mo’ problems.” Katie McEnery (Wife) is super sad that this her last GDA show. She has been in six shows at Gonzaga over the past 4 years, and has had an unbelievable amount of fun. She wants to thank her parents, all the past cast members, anyone who’s driven her anywhere, and the directors/producers, especially Mr. L’Etoile. She also wants to thank the awesome cast of Li’l Abner (so proud of you guys) and her fellow Seniors! I love you all!

With love from your biggest fans Mom, Dad, Maggie, Hazel & Fessy

Ryan McGlynn (Before Husband/Party Guest) would like to thank his family and friends for their support. This is Kieran McGuigan’s (Cronie) third show in the GDA. As a senior, it will be his last. He wants to thank everyone for the love he was shown in the GDA throughout The Pajama Game, Cyrano De Bergerac and Li’l Abner. Glad to be a part of it all.

Brendan McMahon (Li’l Abner) is a senior at Gonzaga and excited and sad to be in his 5th and final Gonzaga show (AMND, WSS, PJG, CDB). He would like to thank the cast, crew & production staff for making it so much fun and such a great show and would like to thank his family and friends for encouraging him the whole way. Much love to the Metro group. Brandyn Miller (Stage Crew), senior at Gonzaga, is writing his last bio ever. I want to thank all of the flipping awesome seniors who I got to know through stage crew. This has been an amazing four years, and has only gotten better these last months. Also, Guerber IS performing his infamous ‘Guerber Dance’ at the end of every show. Love all of you guys, from the GDA to Kairos. JJ Mitchell (Before Husband/Creighton the Butler) is excited to be in his 2nd GDA show. He thanks everyone who has encouraged him in the arts, especially his friends and family. Luke Morell (Stage Crew) is currently a freshman at Gonzaga. He is doing stage crew for the first time in his life, and hopes to do it again. Mary Moss (Appointment Consultant/Dogpatcher/Party Guest) is a freshman at Trinity and hopes you enjoy the show. She is very excited to be making her debut in the GDA.

Congratulations, Brendan!

Reed Nagel (Stage Crew) was born in 1887 and raised in the jungles of Ohio. He lived with his parents until they were killed in an Elk stampede. He was discovered by a Hippo called Earl who gave him the name he now has. They fought in WWI, during their tour he was forced to eat his beloved Hippo in order to survive. He left the military and is now attending Gonzaga as a junior. He plans to be a mountain man when he finishes school.

...from the first two members of your fan club.

After The Who’s disappointing performance at this year’s Super Bowl, Kevin Nolan (Bass) left the band and is happy to have joined Li’l Abner. He would like to thank his parents and brother for all their support.

(You’ve come a long way since 6th grade as Officer Bolger!)

Brian Ott (Policeman) is very excited to be performing in such a fun musical as his first play at Gonzaga, and he hopes to continue participating in the productions here. “Thanks to all my friends and family!” Lilly Overmeyer (Alice/Party Guest) is a freshman St. John’s. As an esteemed member of the Overmeyer clan, she is very excited to be in her first Gonzaga production. Gianluca Paterson (Stage Crew) is a sophomore at Gonzaga, and this will be his third GDA production that he has participated in.

Best Wishes as Li’l Abner!

Betsy Paul (Radio Commentator/Dogpatcher) has really enjoyed going from competitive cheerleader to newfound actress. She has loved working on this production of Li’l Abner and wishes the best of luck to her castmates! Duncan Peacock (Stage Crew) was born on a ship at sea on the Gobi Desert. He fell overboard and battled the Kracken until he was washed onto the shores of DC. Fortunately Gonzaga accepted him. This is his first production. Jack Plantamura (Clem Scragg/After Husband) didn’t really want to do the play but he figured it would look good on his college app. Nadia Pinder (Wife) is BEYOND thrilled to be in her second GDA musical. Thanks to an amazing, Bon Jovi-tastic carpool (yes, Liza and Abbey, I mean you), a supportive family and amazing friends (DF, ER, KB). Hey mom, we made it through! Sit back and enjoy the show! Brian Potochney (Stage Crew), a junior, is stoked to be on crew for his fourth GDA play. He appreciates spontaneous high-fives and empty hallways. He would like to thank EVERYONE, but mostly Andrea Forte, the only person who asked to be mentioned in his bio. Thanks love! Robin Prince (Press Secretary/Dogpatcher/Party Guest) is enthused to be working with Gonzaga’s drama department for the first time. She looks forward to working with Gonzaga again for many more shows. Andrew Ravenscroft (Stage Crew) hopes you enjoy the show.

He would like to thank all of his awesome friends on the cast and crew for everything. Much love to Mariah, Pancho and Patrick- best carpool ever. Jacob Sweeney (Speedy McRabbit) is very excited to be in his first GDA play. He is a huge Red Sox fan and loves everything to do with Boston. Lexi Thomas (Wife) is thrilled to be in her first GDA musical, instead of just pretending to be. She can honestly say that the Gonzaga theater has changed her forever, and would like to thank her mom and dad for believing in her, Meghan and Mr. B for harassing her into doing this, her friends for supporting her and talking her through long car rides, and her new besties - CL,LM,NP,EJ,JB,BM,&RC for helping her to have the time of her life. This is Drew Thrasher’s (Stage Crew) first time and sadly his last time being a part of the glory that is stage crew. He would like to thank his parents for letting him do this and his rugby coach for letting him join the season late. Lastly, he would like to thank all the boys and the one girl on stage crew for teaching him how to use power tools and to waste time like it was his job. Sen10rs One! Griffin Voltmann (General Bullmoose/Dogpatcher) is a senior at Gonzaga, Tim Flynn’s protegee, and a three-year member of the GDA and is thrilled to be rounding off his senior year with yet another part involving wearing a suit and being rude to people. Apparently he gets sixty words this year, but can’t think of anything to fill up the last few. Enjoy the show.

Elizabeth Regan (Executive Secretary/Dogpatcher/Party Guest) has so enjoyed being a part of Li’l Abner (her third GDA show). She would like to thank her carpool full of rockstars, her metro buddies, her family, and especially the lovely seniors.
