Advancement Report …………………………………………..…. Stephen Neill ‘89
Mentioned impact of estate gifts in 2015-16, including from the estate of John Warman and one mother who donated $800k 38% of current students receiving financial aid – average award is $8,500/student. Annual Fund is big portion of the $3mm+ awarded each year in financial assistance. In addition, Gonzaga purposefully keeps tuition low -- ut 3m/yr Annual fund is keeping the tuition low as possible, most recent increase was lowest % approved in 20 years. Difference between full tuition and actual cost per student = $3,200 per student. Annual Fund helps make up the difference.
Tuition just broke 21k which is much lower than average of our peer schools. Average for private day schools in DC area is $38k.
Very good year overall
