Production Staff Bios Mr. Paul Buckley ‘86, HoF ‘16 (Producer) is back in the Producer’s office after taking a break in the first semester. This is his 20th year producing shows for the GDA, all the way back to his first year and the first musical he produced Singin’ in the Rain, which this year is being inducted into the Gonzaga Theater Hall of Fame. Also being inducted is his Co-Producer Meghan, who heads up the truly awesome production team that Mr Buckley gets to work with -Allan, Jonathan, Marika and Sarah make each show so much fun. But it’s truly all about the kids and the talent and energy they bring. Mr B cannot thank them enough, especially the seniors, who were there for him when he sang for the Pope. Finally, he thanks his wife Monica and his kids for giving him the reason to put in the many hours, and for the inevitable endless singing of Disney showtunes which will carry into the spring long after this show closes. Ms. Marika Countouris (Music Director) graduated with a BM from The Catholic University. She served as music director for the following GDA productions: Curtains, Peter and the Star Catcher, Hairspray, Godspell and Footloose. Some of her other music directing credits include: Woodrow Wilson High School: Legally Blonde; Monumental: Brooklyn; Montgomery College: Mr. Burns: a post electric play and Urinetown; MC Summer Dinner Theater: Into the Woods, Catch Me If You Can, Side Show and Legally Blonde. Her favorite performance credits include Meg March in Little Women and Heidi in [title of show]. Next up, she is music directing Sister Act at Montgomery College Summer Dinner Theatre. Mrs. Meghan Goldsmith (Producer) is in her 16th season as a member of the production staff, and Beauty marks her 35th GDA show. Memorable shows include Singin’ in the Rain ‘99, 42nd Street ‘02, Guys and Dolls ‘06, West Side Story ‘08, Kiss Me, Kate ‘11, Fiddler ‘14 and Hairspray ‘16. Thank you to Paul, Allan, Marika, Sarah and Jonathan for being wonderful colleagues, creators and friends, and congratulations to this group of students, especially to the seniors, on a job very well done. Love and thanks are always in order to her amazing husband Dan, and to Matty and Kate, the best kids a mom could hope to have. Mr. Allan L’Etoile ‘73, HoF ‘12 (Director) has been directing shows at Gonzaga since 1997. He loves working with the students in the cast and crew, even the students in house crew, and he finds the work most enjoyable when he sees the kids make something wonderful on the stage for each other and for the audience. He thanks his wife, Marie, for agreeing to let him spend long hours away from home each year taking on this fun work. Mr. Jonathan Spencer (Technical Director) is a native of Fairfax, VA and graduate of the Art Institute of Washington. He is honored to be introduced as the GDA Technical Theatre Director this year. He joins Gonzaga after recently working as the Technical Theatre Director for Summit School in Winston-Salem, NC and as the co-owner of the live music venue, Turntable, in Jamestown, NC. Ms. Sarah Frances Williams (Choreographer) is excited to be back at GDA for her 4th show as choreography. Sarah Frances is an actor, choreographer, director, production manager, and teacher in the DMV. She graduated from The Catholic University of America for Musical Theatre. Previous GDA shows include Footloose, Fiddler on the Roof and Hairspray. She has spent the last year performing at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts in Fredericksburg, Va. Previous performing credits include Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Saturday Night Fever, Urinetown, Guys and Dolls and more. Love to Mom and Dad!

Bios Katherine Allen (Ensemble) has enjoyed being in her first show with GDA! She would like to thank the cast and crew for a great experience and many laughs. But most importantly, she needs 6 eggs. Jacob Aquino-Wells (Ensemble) started his career starring in a series of stage musicals (Oklahoma!, Pirates of Penzance, Singin’ In The Rain). Jacob would like to thank the GDA for making his experience at Gonzaga fun & exciting. He hopes that GDA chooses Hamilton for its next production. He’s ready to audition! Godspeed everyone! Alex Ballestero (Stage Crew) is excited for his fourth and final show with the GDA. He would like to pray for the future of the stage crew, may you weather every storm. Cate Biegun (Light Crew) has been a part of GDA for 3 years. She is pretty excited to go to college, and has loved her time in the program. Shout to her favorite person Kyle Brown for writing her bios. This is Gabriel Brady’s (Ensemble) first show with GDA, and he is very happy to have experienced it. This is his first major play as well, although he has acted as an Incredible Hulk stunt double in the movie business. Livie Brennan (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of her third show with the GDA and is confident this will be the best one. She is thankful for the second family that the GDA has given her and the friends she knows will last her a lifetime. Bridget Brown (Ensemble) is mildly excited to be in her last show. She would like to thank her family, especially her sisters. Shout out to all the girls she carpooled with, lots and lots of fun. Kyle Brown (Ensemble) is excited to be a part of his last GDA production. He has had a lot of fun these past four years. He would like to give a special shout out to Marika for always letting me sing Love on Top. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have enough words for all of his Beyonce references his bio ends here. Nate Buckley (Stage Crew) is glad that he will be returning to help produce another show. He hopes it is enjoyed by everyone! Coleman Bunn (Ensemble) landed multiple roles for this show. He is not only a villager, but he is a wolf, a carpet, and the prop manager. Mr. L’Etoile says he’s the perfect guy if you ever need that one extra guy. Bunn does not not admire L’Etoile. Ben Campion (Ensemble) is happy to be making his second appearance in the GDA starring as the man with the big wooden fork. John Carluccio (Clarinet) is happy to finally be part of the GDA this year playing the clarinet in the pit orchestra. He is thankful for his music instructors since fourth grade, his friends, family, and girlfriend for making music a part of his life. Enjoy the show! It’s true! It’s true! Colin Carmody (Maurice) is appearing in his 8th GDA production as Maurice! When not performing with the GDA, you can find him writing his one act musical, playing the Gonzaga Alma Mater on the Pipe Organ at school assemblies, or running around like a madman to all his classes. At the time he is writing this he has not heard back from any colleges, but hopes to study math and music.
Ever as before And ever just as sure...
Genevieve, Cast and Crew...Congratulations!
Christopher Cowardin (Ensemble) is very happy to be in his 4th show here at Gonzaga College Highschool. He hopes you enjoy the acting, singing, and dancing. He would like to thank Mr. L’Etoile, Mr. Buckley, Mrs. Goldsmith, Marika, and Sarah (who taught him how to kind of do a cartwheel, even though he will not be doing it in the show). William Cowardin (Flute/Piccolo) is excited to be in his 5th GDA production, and is looking forward to finishing off his GDA career with a bang. He also wanted to add a joke, but failed to have one. Áine Cribbin (Silly Girl) is elated to perform in her second show at Gonzaga as a napkin, carpet, silly girl, and whatever else Mr. L’Etoile needs. She would like to thank the blessing that is Wendy, the carpool group, and the beef song for getting me through. Zachary Crilley (Ensemble) is exhilarated about his debut in the GDA. As a senior, Zack decided to leave no stone unturned and thrust himself into the thespian life. Zack would like to extend thanks to all friends, both old and new, for making this an exceptional experience. Hannah Dimas (Ensemble) is overjoyed to be dancing her way through her first GDA performance. After having danced on stage at the Kennedy Center and Warner Theater, she could not wait to perform on the Sheehy Theater stage. She would like to thank her Visi and Gonzaga cast mates for getting her to and from rehearsals. She especially wants to thank her parents for their loving support of her crazy after school schedule. Kevin Dolan (Beast) is thrilled to be a part of his sixth production within the GDA. In addition to BatB, Kevin has performed in Curtains as Lieutenant Cioffi at GCHS and as “Ash” in Evil Dead: The Musical at Stage Door Manor. He thanks his parents, teachers, and coaches for his success on stage, on the pitch, and in the classroom. Grace Dwyer (Makeup Crew) is excited for her first show with GDA. She thanks THE Patricia McGee for convincing her to join the makeup crew. Shout out to Saxbys for getting her the coffee she needs to make it through the day. Grace hopes you enjoy the show! Andrew Farabow (Assistant Stage Manager) is counting down the days until One Acts, when he will usurp his mentor Andrew Metro and establish his own (mostly) benevolent Supreme Leadership over stage crew. There are, however, definitely a few things that he needs Metro to explain first. Emma Farren (Makeup Crew) is probably still contemplating what makes the perfect bio – she’ll try to get back to you. In the meantime, however, she is thrilled to be in her third GDA production and hopes she pulled off pretending to know stuff about makeup. Arthur Ferridge (Stage Crew) is back again on stage crew for his second show of the year. He has had a great time preparing for the show, although he is looked down upon for being a part timer. Joseph Fondriest (Assistant Light Manager), half man, have paint rag, has gotten to the point where he brings his own coveralls from home while painting the set, yet somehow still gets paint on his clothes.
Charlotte Galbreath (Silly Girl) is thrilled to be in her first GDA performance as a Silly Girl. She has loved getting so close to everyone in the cast and will miss them next year. She would like to thank her family, friends, and the cast. Matt “Tommy Nalls” Gannon (Lumiere) is thrilled to be in his third Gonzaga show as the suavest candle on the block. In the inimitable words of Mr. L’Etoile, “You better have this bio in by February 20!” As I write this on February 26, I remember this wisdom fondly, as I will forevermore. Alack Alack! Matthew Gately (Ensemble): “My name is Matthew Gately. I am a freshman and this is my second show.” Claudia Giunta (Makeup Crew) is excited to be on makeup crew for her second GDA show. She would like to thank everyone who has made the experience so memorable. Sorry, to Belinda for “stealing the carpool”, but thanks for the endless car jams! John Goodyear (Narrator/Ensemble) is proud to announce that he is certainly more attractive than Matt Gannon. With this he bids you adieu. Ben Gossart (Cogsworth) is proud to announce that he is certainly more attractive than Tommy Nalls, John Goodyear, and Matt Gannon. He is thrilled to be in his eighth and final GDA show and thanks his parents for all their support. Brendan Griffith (Ensemble):” Time out! Excuse me, bad guys. I am running out of air. Gotta get pumped. Okay, time in!” - Achoo (Robin Hood Men in Tights) Betsy Haywood (Ensemble) is very excited to be in her 3rd GDA production! She would like to thank her carpool buddies, fellow sausage girl, family, and Wendy for supporting her endlessly. This is Meaghan Howard’s (Ensemble) second GDA production and she couldn’t be happier to be in this wonderful show! She would like to thank GV seniors for the wonderful carpool rides! Will Joransen (Assistant Sound Manager) is looking forward to his second show and is excited to sit under the set the entire time. Livi Jung-Moss (Madame de la Grande Bouche) is ecstatic to be playing such a “big” character. She’s sad to say goodbye to the GDA, but feels lucky and grateful for having met some of her closest friends who she now considers as family. Livi will continue to pursue musical theatre as a major in college. Finn Kirvan (Assistant Stage Manager) would like to thank the countless trees needed to build the set and Ace hardware store for always being there when he needed it (paints) most. Also hey mom and dad. Thomas Macyko (Stage Crew) punches the clock for the 3rd year in a row, ready to build Mr. L’Etoile’s set for another GDA production. Despite the sawdust, burns, and stains, this job is what makes him get out of bed in the morning. All hail Spreadsheet. Isaiah Maddox (Chip): “Firstly gotta mention Drexel just because that’s all I talk about. It’s my last show and also least mobile show while also very mobile at the same time, and my mom is a pot so there’s that. Enjoy a nice cup of tea and a good show.”
Genevieve Maloney (Ensemble) is ecstatic to expose PJ McMahon’s adulterous ways in her first show. She’d like to thank the cast and crew for being both beautiful and beasts throughout the creation of this production. Jo Matta (Mrs. Potts) is overjoyed to be a part of her third GDA production! She’d like to thank her friends, family, and Wendy for their love and support. Patricia McGee (Makeup Crew) would like to say “bonjour” to the GDA stage as she debuts her poppin’ makeup skills. She would like to thank all her new pals for putting up with her humor. Additionally, she would like to remind everyone about the strict word cou... PJ McMahon (Ensemble) wants to let all his adoring fans know that more magic tricks are coming. Andrew Metro (Stage Manager) can say several sappy things about how stage crew & his “Friendos” have changed his life. But keeping it brief, he hopes you enjoy the portion of his soul he and his comrades sacrificed to the stage crew gods to make everything possible. He thanks his non-GDA friends/family for putting up with his insane hours. Good luck to next year’s regime! Joe Miller (Monsieur D’Arque) is excited to be preforming in his 8th and final show, however, he would rather be hanging out with Ranger. Sic Semper Tyrannis. Enjoy the show! Sheridan Monroe (Stage Crew) is excited to be a part of Beauty and the Beast for her last show in the GDA. She would like to thank her parents for their support, and the entire stage crew for putting up with her indecision with Visitation and Gonzaga shows. Tommy Nalls (Lefou) is excited to perform his 6th and last show with the GDA. He is proud to announce that he is certainly more attractive than John Goodyear and Matt Gannon combined. Nevertheless, it’s been a joy performing on stage with the cast and crew these last few years. Farewell! Maddie Notarianni (Silly Girl) is concerned for the economy of the little town because Gaston is ruining the egg market by eating five dozen eggs every morning to help him get large. Still, he somehow manages to win the no-Belle prize... Emily Orem (Belle) is thrilled to be a part of her sixth GDA production and to be playing her favorite Disney princess. She would like to thank her wonderful cast, Wendy and the carpool, and all those times she ran into things as a child because she refused to look up from her book- they prepared her well for this role. David Precourt (Ensemble) is a Senior at Gonzaga, and this is his second year in the GDA. He appeared as a stagehand in Curtains, and he is playing a villager in Beauty and the Beast. His main inspiration is ASO AVA. Julia Ravenscroft (Ensemble): “Here’s a shout out to my friends, family, loved ones, school, Panda Express, Mentos, Lil Benz, Ratatouille (2007), L’Etoile, and John Goodyear. Y’all part of the family now.” Caroline Reyda (Ensemble) is excited to have you as her guest for her first GDA show! She would like to thank the cast and crew for a great experience and many memories! She could not have done it without her other sausage curl girl!

Luke Rizzo (Ensemble): “I auditioned for Belle, but I was told I wouldn’t be the right fit... which is totally fine, I’m fine!” Peter Rizzo (Gaston) is excited for this opportunity to play everything that he’s not: a dumb, muscular, sexist. Jack Ronca (Ensemble) is very excited to be part of his first musical at Gonzaga. He would like to thank everyone who has helped him, especially his parents and friends. This is Teresa Rozier’s (Makeup Crew) first musical at Gonzaga! She is very excited to be a part of it and is so proud of the cast and crew’s hard work! Matthew Seay (Light Manager) is excited to be working on his ninth and final play with the GDA. He is sad but ready to move on. He would like to thank his older brother Mike Seay for introducing him to stage crew and he urges anybody who has interest in stage crew to come help for one acts. Lizzie Shumaker (Enchantress) is eternally thankful for the incredible humans and experiences of the GDA. From old haggard woman to enchantress to townsperson to wolf to napkin to statue and back to wolf, she is excited about the diversity of her short-lived but much-loved acting career. Sarah Slimp (Babette) voudrait remercier Marguerite pour l’accent formidable. Attendez.. Why is the show set in France but only some of the characters have a French accent? What is the beast, or the “prince”, the prince of? Why is Chip, chipped!? Augie Sommers (Ensemble) is a Sophomore and has had a wonderful experience this being his first ever play. He represents Alexandria, VA and wants to thank his Mom, Dad, and all who have supported him. And remember: if you need eggs, you know who to call! Ryan Vigilante (Ensemble) is excited to be in his 2nd GDA production. Unfortunately, he’s not nearly as cool as his last name might suggest, but he’s enjoyed being part of the productions nonetheless and wishes he took part of them during his freshman and sophomore year. James Walutes (Loft Manager) would like to thank Mr. L’Etoile, Mr. Spencer, and Mr. Duffy for a great two years on stage crew. Since his year-long pursuit to convince Andrew Metro to let him rig a car from the loft was unsuccessful, he hopes you enjoy the bookshelf and chandelier. Andrew Wilkerson (Ensemble) is a junior at Gonzaga who has truly found a home in the GDA. He thanks his family, the cast, crew, teachers, friends, and most importantly the folks at home for making the past three years in theater as memorable as they could be. Tomas Williamson (Ensemble) has played many roles throughout his time in the GDA, but this year he has gotten the opportunity to play two incredibly complex characters. He is excited to share the hard work that the cast has put into this show. Julia Winkler’s (Ensemble) dreams of always having both her feet on the ground were rudely disrupted by news that she would have to cartwheel off another person -- but art requires sacrifice, as well as the ability to momentarily black out when confronting your fear of gymnastics.
Congratulations
