Mr. Paul Buckley ‘86, HoF ‘16 (Producer) has been producing shows for the GDA for 19 years and loves bringing fun, new shows like Curtains to the Sheehy Theater. He hopes you enjoy it, but don’t tell anyone who hasn’t seen it yet who did it. Why spoil the fun for them? He thanks his awesome production team of Allan, Meghan, Matt, Marika and Shiloh for their genius and their durability. He is very grateful to his seniors for their dedication to the GDA, both on and off stage. Thank you to the parents who did such amazing work with this show. And a special shout out to Tony Braithwaite and the crew from St. Joe’s Prep in Philly for welcoming us into their home and for reminding us that the Jesuit schools share a common love for great shows and great communities. Lastly, and most importantly, he thanks his wife Monica and his kids Anthony, Caroline and Gabe for sharing his love of the theater and for the inevitable repetitive singing of all of the show songs once this is over. Ms. Marika Countouris (Music Director) is a Senior Musical Theatre major at the Catholic University of America where she was most recently seen as Meg March in Little Women. Curtains is Marika’s fifth production here at GDA having also been the Music Director for Peter and the Starcatcher, Hairspray, Godspell and Footloose. At CUA, she serves as the Music Director in Residence for CenterStage, the student-run theater company. Marika has loved working on this show and woudl like to thank Mrs. Goldsmith, Mr. Buckley and Mr. L’Etoile for all their hard work and of course, the cast, crew and musicians for being awesomely talented. It is never good to be out-performed at your job: that young go-getter working crazy hours like a machine; the experienced veteran who knows efficiency and can do twice the work in half the time. It’s worse when you are being out-performed by a bunch of teenage kids. For this set, Mr. Matthew Duffy (Technical Director) had maybe one positive suggestion that
was implemented. The rest of the set, staging, lights, sound, props, decor and aesthetics, were determined and executed by students, most of whom do not yet drive. When not getting in the way of more-capable children, Duffy spends time alone in his studio and with his wife Elizabeth (Visi ‘05), who is also much more gifted and talented than he is. Mrs. Meghan Goldsmith (Producer) is in her 16th season as a member of the production staff, and loves every moment she’s able to spend here with this special group of people. Memorable shows include Singin’ in the Rain ‘99, 42nd Street ‘02, Guys and Dolls ‘06, West Side Story ‘08, Kiss Me, Kate ‘11 and Fiddler ‘14. Thank you to Paul, Allan, Matt, Marika and Shiloh for being wonderful colleagues, creators and friends, and congratulations to this group of students, especially to the seniors, on a job very well done. Love and thanks are always in order to her amazing husband Dan, and to Matty and Kate, the best kids a mom could hope to have. Mr. Allan L’Etoile ‘73, HoF ‘12 (Director) has been directing shows at Gonzaga since 1997. He loves working with the students in the cast and crew, even the students in house crew, and he finds the work most enjoyable when he sees the kids make something wonderful on the stage for each other and for the audience. He thanks his wife, Marie, for agreeing to let him spend long hours away from home each year taking on this fun work. Mr. Shiloh Orr (Choreographer) is a junior at The Catholic University of America, where he trains as a Musical Theatre Major. This is his first time choreographing at Gonzaga, and he is excited to see his work performed outside of the university setting. He has also choreographed for CUA’s CenterStage program, as well as for various recitals for himself and fellow students. He thanks Mr. L’Etoile and all the kids for welcoming him into the Gonzaga theatre family, and God for all that He has done and continues to do.
Congratulations

This is Quinn Aitchison’s (Stagehand) 1st show in GDA. He hates writing about himself in the third person. Andrew Allan (Johnny Harmon) is happily returning as the real stage manager and totally not an actor. He thanks everyone even though he endures constant changes in set design. He especially thanks all members of #CurtainsMixtape and his parents. Elizabeth Amorosi’s (Stagehand) show is bound to be her best. It’s her first and last because she’s a second semester senior. She’s a show person now. Whether praying for divine intervention while duct-taping a broken set piece, scouring backstage for an AWOL actor, or driving to Home Depot after yet another wood shortage (a crisis no one would expect at Gonzaga), Aaron Aranza’s (Assistant Stage Manager) GDA experience has been anything but boring. It’s a beautiful chaos that complements a beautiful theater family, and Aaron will miss both dearly. Michel Ashton (Stage Crew) joined stage crew about three weeks ago. It has been a great experience so far. Alex Ballestero (Stage Crew) is happy to be on stage crew for a second production with the GDA. When he’s not busy putting screws through his hands or cracking his knuckles incessantly he can be found fencing in the cafeteria. Monique Barnes (Kansasland Dancer) is a senior at Elizabeth Seton. Curtains is her third and final show at Gonzaga. She would like to thank her parents for all their support. Shout out to the Seton car pool! Tommy Boyce (Aaron Fox) is overwhelmed with the word limit that his seventh show and final show brings, and would like to thank everyone who helped get him here. He’d like to thank Paul Boyce (his sun and stars), Allie Boyce (the silent minority), his parents, Carol Cramer Drummond, Dalia (who gave him rides home), Ben (for always coming through with AP Bio help) and all of you dreamers out there. “It’s been real, it’s been good, but it ain’t been real good.” -Obama’s Anger Translator. Patrick Brockwell (House Manager) is over the moon to be leading the house crew along side the Honorable Douglas W. Sarasin, and looking dapper while doing so. He would like to thank Leslie and Cannon for gifting him with such a great co-manager. Go for Broke! Kyle Brown (Stagehand) is excited to be in another GDA show. He would like to thank his best friends Ben, Colleen, Abby, Meghan, John, Joe, Kevin, Tommy, JP, and Monique. He’d like to shout out his queens Adele and Beyoncé for inspiring him through their music. He would also like to remind everyone to get in formation.
Bridget, If you’re a wave, be the best wave you can be! XO Mom, Dad, Maddie & Z oe Christopher, congrats on your second GDA performance. Looking forward to seeing some nifty footwork on stage. Will, congrats on your second year performing in the GDA pit band - we are all proud of you for following in Granddaddy’s footsteps. Love, Mom, Dad & Alese MATTHEW, Where has the time gone? 4 years, 8 shows, 1 Acts and, more importantly, 1 proud family. We love you from Noises Off to Curtains and back. Play on my son. Love, Dad, and all those who love you!
Congratulations Matthew! We are so excited to see you on the Gonzaga stage! Love, Dad, Mom, Kate, Michael & Megan
Bridget Brown (Stagehand) is in her 3rd show with the GDA. She would also like to get coffee with each and every one of you. And Maddie Brown is her inspiration. As the best in all the world at doing wood stuff, I, Nate Buckley (Stage Crew), will prove to all of Gonzaga that my skills are worthy of making a name for myself. But I should start small, this is my first play after all... Coleman Bunn (Kansasland Dancer) is new to the GDA. Coleman did musicals when he was little, and he’s glad he can get back into business. Benjamin Campion (Stagehand) is thrilled to be in his first GDA production after fifteen years in the audience. Colin Carmody (Harv Fremont) killing it in Curtains. Wait, no. Poor choice of words. He’s, well, you get it. When he’s not singing in key, being a key, playing the piano, or dancing, he’s being mugged blindly by Marika who insists on taking his coins. Colin shall win, MARIKA! Melissa Coaxum (Stage Crew) is extremely excited to be a part of stage crew in her first GDA production! She would like to thank the AHC girls for dragging her to try new things. In her free time she enjoys handing out joint juice and listening to Bruno Mars. Quentin Cooper (Light Crew) is excited to be part of the Curtains production. Quentin hopes the show is very successful and the crowd enjoys the sets built by stage crew. Christopher Cowardin (Stagehand) is very excited to be in his second play for the Gonzaga Dramatic Association. After playing the role of Prentiss in Peter and the Starcatcher in the fall, he can’t wait until next years play. Áine “minion” Cribbin (Kansasland Dancer) is thrilled to be in her first Gonzaga show and hopes are still high that Shiloh will learn her name. Kevin S. Dolan (Lieutenant Frank Cioffi) is extremely honored to be in his 4th Gonzaga show, Curtains! Prior to Curtains, Kevin has performed professionally across the East Coast, specifically at the Bucks County Playhouse, the Baryshnikov Arts Center, and at Penn State Center Stage at Penn State University, all the while preforming every summer at Stage Door Manor. Trinity Duggan (Stagehand) is excited to be in her first GDA production and can’t wait to grow in this program. Thanks to everyone who made this possible! Andrew Farabow (Stage Crew) , a sophomore, is excited for his first play in stage crew. Meghan Farren (Kansasland Dancer) has laughed her way through all 5 shows of her GDA career but still dons a death glare resting face while on stage. This is a theatrical choice, this is art. Beyond that, she feels #blessed with a cast full of her best friends in the world. Emma Farren (Stage Hand) is thrilled to be in her second GDA production. She does not have the creativity to make this funny. She apologizes.
Matt Feller (Guitar) is excited to be back in the band for his eighth GDA show after being onstage for Peter and the Starcatcher. He is pleased that he can once again hide behind the wall in the front of the theater and wishes the rest of the cast and crew the very best next year and onward. Barrett Fife (Carmen Bernstein), a junior at Visitation, is ecstatic to be playing “that one lady who can’t dance”. She couldn’t have done this without her parents, Mr. L’Etoile, the Dalia Hamilton Carpool, the #CurtainsMixtape Squad, Starbucks, and Visitation’s rotating free periods. Heather Fitzgerald (Production Assistant) is very excited to be simultaneously stage managing and assistant sound managing her 6th GDA production. As Hannah Montana once said “you get the best of both worlds.” In her free time, she enjoys eating jicama, stalking the New Zealand All Blacks around the globe and trying to one-up Matt Hoffman. She would like to shout-out Tommy Moran and DJ2z for being daily inspirations as well and Slush and Annabelle for chauffeuring me around. Joseph Fondriest (Assistant Light Manager) is proud to not have gotten kicked out of GDA for a second play, and he hopes to continue that streak. Patricio Fraga-Errecart (Kansasland Dancer) is incredibly excited to be a part of his second GDA production: Curtains. He can’t wait for next year’s shows. Matt Gannon (Oscar Shapiro) is thrilled to be part of Curtains! He can’t think of anything else to say, but he hopes you enjoyed the time you wasted while reading the rest of his bio. Will Gately (Stage Hand) is ecstatic to be making his debut and finale on the GDA stage. Quite frankly, he’s just happy to be here. Margot Giuliani (Stage Crew) knew that as the eldest member of stage crew, she was the wisest...at least until she got all four of her wisdom teeth taken out in February. John Goodyear (Stage Hand) is very excited to be a part of his first GDA performance. He wishes the whole cast and crew good luck. Ben Gossart (Christopher Belling) is elated to be in another GDA show. He would like to thank his parents for tolerating him. S/O to Kyle, Joe, Meghan and Abby and to Chicken Rico, his real hero. Brendan Griffith (Stagehand) is so excited to be appearing in his first GDA show. He wishes the whole cast and crew good luck and many broken legs. Dalia Hamilton (Georgia Hendricks) is beyond excited to be performing in her last show on the Gonzaga stage. She wants to thank everyone who made her GDA career possible, especially her brother Joey. She hopes that everyone enjoys this show just as much as she has, and apologizes in advance for any surprise murders. Shout out to the Carpool Squad™ and the #Curtains Mixtape! Betsy Haywood (Stagehand) is very excited to be a part of the cast of Curtains. She’s looking forward to a great show with great people!
Matt Hoffman (Stage Manager) is thrilled to be a part of his 9th show with the GDA. After four years of pretending like he knew what he was doing, his dictatorship over stage crew has finally been completed. He would like to thank the indentured servants that tended to his fiefdoms in the scene shop, and all of you for basking in the glory of this performance. Owen Johnson (Kansasland Dancer) is thrilled to finally have his breakout role as Kansasland Dancer #5. He would like to thank that guy on the metro who told him he looked like Zac Efron, inspiring a legendary theater career. Livi Jung-Moss (Niki Harris) thanks everyone who has made her 2nd show here at GDA so special. She hopes you all enjoy the show! Julia Kelley (Bambi Bernét) is a senior and in her fourth show. From Fiddler, Footloose, Hairspray to Curtains, she had the time of her life! She would like to thank the cast, crew, family, neighbors, friends and directors. (Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!) Finn Kirvan (Stage Crew) is partaking in his third show on loft crew and is excited for the play after weeks of unwavering dedication. Stephanie Lushniak (Jessica Crenshaw) is frankly quite disappointed with this show. For the past four years she has played every gender ambiguous role known to man, yet in this show, she is forced to be “woman.” She feels this violates her inherent actor equity rights and she demands that Jessica is referred to as “Jess” to encourage the ambiguity of the role. Other than that, GDA has been ok, I mean she’s done it for four years. Thanks for watching, I guess. Thomas Macyko (Stage Crew), the man, the myth, the legend, is a member of the GDA Stage Crew and participating in his second play at Gonzaga. After the success of Hairspray last spring, he just could not pass up the opportunity to the Primus, no wait, Stage Crew. His inspiration is the God Emperor Donald Trump, and his favorite quote is “I am that duck.” Isaiah Maddox (Stagehand) is psyched to be in his 4th play and to be working with his fellow cast members in the GDA. He misses Obama being president and wants everyone to power through this American struggle. Ignacio Mata Cordero (Stage Crew) is back for his second stage crew production. He is thankful for Mr. Duffy, who has exemplified the qualities of a wholesome life. Jo Matta (Makeup Crew) is enlivened, invigorated, and exhilarated to be doing makeup during her 3rd GDA show! She formerly appeared in the GDA casts of Hairspray and Peter and the Starcatcher. She hopes the cast and crew break legs! This is David McCallum’s (Drums) second show playing drums for a GDA production and he enjoys every second of it.

Andrew Metro (Loft Manager) is definitely NOT living in the theater, nor is using the plywood rack in the scene shop as a bed. This would be preposterous. He is, however, thrilled to be back for his 5th show with his incredible stage crewmembers. Also, don’t check in the booth, because there totally isn’t a minifridge there. But do pick up your trash. Because he’s watching. He’s always watching. Joseph Miller (Sidney Bernstein) is like kinda happy to be in yet another show. Yeah. He’d like to thank his stellar brothers as well. Also this show gave him Dejá Vu. Stay woke. Aidan Mitchell (Stage Crew) is a sophomore at Gonzaga College High School and is thrilled to participate in his first GDA production on stage crew. Tommy Moran (Sound Manager) is delighted to be head of sound again for Curtains. His hobbies include, dying his hair red, learning how to apply believable freckles, and professionally training dogs. He is thankful for his favorite person in the whole world, Heather Fitzgerald for always being helpful, supportive, writing this bio, and keeping him entertained. Tommy “Ryan Gosling” Nalls (Randy Dexter) is thrilled to be in his 4th show as religious advisor and loyal friend, Randy Dexter aka Parson Tuck aka Firm Handshake. Here’s 7 words to maximize word limit! Maddie Rose Notarianni (Kansasland Dancer) is excited to be in her first show at Gonzaga and wants to thank metro’s auto reload and her GDA fam. Emily Orem (Stagehand) is a sophomore at Holy Cross and is thrilled to be participating in her 4th GDA show. She is excited to bring you the result of learning to eat, sleep, and breathe fake time steps. Thank you to everyone involved, and a special shout out to the fam squad. Bradley Owen (Stage Crew) is a senior here at Gonzaga. This is his final show with the GDA on Stage Crew. He is grateful to be a part of three productions throughout the past two years. Kristin Peaks (Stage Crew) is very excited to be a part of stage crew in her 2nd GDA production! In her free time, she enjoys catching people outside, watching Netflix, attempting to do thinkgs productive, and eating. She can also make a mean bowl of ramen noodles. David Precourt (Stagehand), junior in Curtains. Rain drop, drop top, my GPA is a flip flop. Helping with his first production ever, Matthew Quigley (Stage Crew) has had a fun time helping Paint, Fasten, and Hang everything on the stage with his new friends, and can’t wait for the next production. Julia Ravenscroft (Sasha Iljinsky) portrays Sasha, the gender ambiguous conductor of the play within a play. Stephanie Lushniak is extremely jealous of the ambiguity of Julia’s tuxedo clad character.
TOMAS We all have roles to play, PLAY WELL! -Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre - Charleston, SC
Congrats on your second GDA performance! We
you!
Mom, Dad, Izzy, Caroline & Bruin
Break a leg Tomas! Love the Rubio Crew!
Peter Rizzo (Bobby Pepper) is a Gonzaga sophomore, who after playing 5th guy from the right in Hairspray followed by 2nd guy from the left in Peter and the Starcatcher, is happy to be playing Bobby Pepper to prove that he can in fact speak. Abby Rizzo (Stagehand) is excited to finally make it from the green room to the stage. It has been so nice to share my last show in the GDA with my best friends. Will Sanders (Kansasland Dancer) is very excited to be in his second GDA show! He hopes everyone enjoys watching the show, as he and everyone else have worked very hard on it. Doug Sarasin (House Manager), the Honorable, reigns as Supreme Master of the House alongside House Manager Patrick Brockwell. We are honored to abuse the power vested to us in the Constitution of Gonzaga House Crew, our own creation, and promise to promote a somewhat peaceful transition to Assistant Managers Michael Dommel and Winston Leslie. May God Bless Mr. Paul Buckley! Farewell Lads! This is Sarah Slimp’s (Kansasland Dancer) second show as a featured dancer with the GDA. She would like to thank the metro squad for getting her to rehearsal everyday at 4:01. Jessica Snowden (Stage Crew) is excited to be a part of her 2nd GDA production. If you don’t know who this is you can find her backstage arguing with Kristin Peaks. James Waddell (Assistant Stage Manager) would like to thank Meester Doofy and Mr. Leo Toil for an amazing 4 years of indentured servitude. Bone apple teeth. Keep ‘er goin’ Sent from my iPhone. James Walutes (Assistant Loft Manager) is thrilled to be back for his second show! He would like to thank all of his fellow crewmembers, especially Sir Chesterfield, who looks down from the heavens to guide us. Andrew Wilkerson (Kansasland Dancer) is thrilled to participate in his third GDA show. After building the set for Arscenic and Godspell, he moved on to act in Hairspray and Starcatcher. He would like to thank his family, friends, and those who helped make the show! Tomás Williamson (Stagehand) is looking forward to this year’s production of Curtains. Julia Winkler’s (Kansasland Dancer) first GDA musical has involved cult rituals, long metro rides, western slang, a fam squad, and more. In her opinion, it can’t get better than that. Charlie Workmaster (Daryl Grady) is a rad hombre who has a bigly impressive career in the GDA both as a cast and a crew member. However, he is best known for his nasty twerking skills. Shoutout to Old Spice Forge Putty and Sebastian Workmaster, Class of 2034. Nick Zaso (Light Crew) is most proud of the saloon doors he helped build, which, to Mr. L’Etoile’s disappointment, took a year to construct.... it was worth it. Say hi to Zaso upstairs working a spotlight.
