Production Staff Bios

Ms. Katrina Andrews (Assistant Choreographer) is a senior Psychology major at the Catholic University of America. She has been a dancer for nineteen years, a choreographer for five years, and is an experienced contortion trainer. Recently, she performed in CUA’s student run musical, Side Show. She is the Artistic Director of the student dance company, Pure Alignment. Katrina is proud of the work these talented performers have accomplished and would like to thank Paul, Alan, and Meghan for this opportunity. Mr. Paul Buckley ‘86 (Co-Producer) is now well into his second millennium of producing shows for the GDA, having started in the fall of 1998. He thanks Allan, Meghan and Matt for their continued talent and leadership, and the Waves (Sarah, Tess, Marika and Katrina) for their enthusiasm, dedication and humor. He congratulates the seniors, new and old, for helping to bring the awesome 80’s back on stage. Finally, he thanks his wife Monica for making sure the kids do not destroy the house while he is gone, and for making sure they continue to develop a love for reading. Now if they would just go to bed earlier.... Ms. Marika Countouris (Assistant Music Director/Accompanist) is super stoked to be involved with her first show at GDA! She is a sophomore Musical Theatre major at the Catholic University of America where she has most recently assisted in musical direction for Unlimited, A Review of Stephen Schwartz. During her freshman year, she served as the Assistant Music Director for Godspell and the Frank Loesser Review performed at the Kennedy Center. She also was the Music Director and Co-Creator of a Beatles Cabaret titled, All You Need Is Love. Marika serves as Co-Music Director in Residence for CenterStage, the student run theater company at CUA. She will be seen next performing in CenterStage’s production [title of show]. She is also thrilled to be working with The GDA Family as Music Director for the next two years. Finally, Marika would like to thank Katrina, Tess, and Sarah Frances for keeping her sane, Mr. Buckley for this opportunity, and Mr. L’Etoile for being such a fun collaborative director. Cut Loose! People often question Mr. Matthew Duffy (Technical Director) about the sets. When he tells the curious what the particular set for an upcoming show entails, the usual response is “How in the world are you going to do that?!” He has two answers: 1) “I have no idea... but, we will figure it out.” and 2) “I’m not worried; do you know who we have on Stage Crew? They’re awesome.” The set before you is no different, save one fact: we had to actively stall the S.Crew because they were building everything ahead of schedule and ahead of the materials available. In the first two days they built what would take most crews more than two weeks (the structural piers to the bridge). The bridge itself quickly became more of a completed shop obstacle than an albatross that never seemed to get done. The garage for the band (and the doors) were built three different times because S.Crew had completed versions of it each time before the exact (and changing) show requirements were solidified. The stage lights were individually cleaned, repaired, and some were even rerouted, more than a month and a half ago. The sound... well, lets put it this way, the sound crew were held up by (and had to correct the mistakes of) highly-paid outside professionals. Even Mother Nature, herself, with multiple snow cancellations could not hold them back. What we are saying is: “Do you know who we have on Stage Crew? They’re awesome.” Mrs. Meghan Goldsmith (Producer) is finishing out her 14th season as a member of the production staff, and is still thrilled beyond measure every day to be part of this incredible family. Memorable shows include Singin’ in the Rain ‘99, 42nd Street ‘02, Guys and Dolls ‘06, West Side Story ‘08, Kiss Me Kate ‘11 and Fiddler ‘14. Thank you to Paul, Allan, Matt, Sarah, Tess, Katrina and Marika for being wonderful colleagues, creators and friends, and a heartfelt congratulations to this group of students, especially to the seniors and GDA veterans, on a job very well done. Finally, thanks are always in order to her amazing husband Dan, and the two brightest stars in her world, Matthew and Kate. Mr. Allan L’Etoile ‘73, HoF ‘12 (Director) has the best job in the world, working with young actors. He hopes they’ve had a lot of fun doing Footloose, and he thanks, especially, his wife and dog for missing him evenings when he’s at rehearsal. Ms. Tess Owen (Musical Director) is a Senior Musical Theatre Major at The Catholic University of America, graduating in May 2015. Recent productions: Carousel (Ms. Mullins), Les Miserables (Fantine u/s, Ensemble) and Godspell (Celisse). After graduation, Tess plans on living in D.C. and pursuing a career in Theatre. She is so excited to present this wonderful production of Footloose, and wants to thank the wonderful cast for their hard work, and musicianship.

Ms. Sarah Frances Hope Williams (Choreographer) is glad to be back for her second GDA production. Last year she was the assistant choreographer for Fiddler on the Roof. Sarah Frances will be graduating this May from The Catholic University of America with a Bachelor’s of Music with an emphasis in Musical Theatre. She is an up and coming actor, choreographer, and director in the D.C. area. Her previous acting credits include Pinkalicious at Adventure Theatre-MTC, Carousel at C.U.A., Pajama Game at Montgomery Summer Dinner Theatre, Sweet Charity at C.U.A, and more. Her other choreography credits include Normal with Molotov Theatre Group, Fiddler on the Roof at GDA, and various showcase and recital numbers. Sarah Frances’ next projects are directing [title of show] at CUA this spring and 315 for Capital Fringe. Thank you Allan, Paul, and Meghan for your constant support and a space for our creative juices to flow. This is for mom.

Michael: With courage befitting the Lion (no-longer cowardly), you have followed your own path, down the yellow brick road, past Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, to another Oz… the GDA. Once there you helped Annie Get Her Gun, stopped for a visit in Our Town, did a little Fiddling on the Roof (Oy vey!!!), danced your way down 42nd Street, and did your part (whistling all the way) to try to Tame the Shrew… Now you are Footloose – but not yet fancy-free. You have made friends for life and memories that you will cherish forever… Hope you enjoyed your experience as much as we have enjoyed watching you perform -- we are so very proud of you and all of your accomplishments! Tales of bloodletting (glue hurts!), indentured servitude (‘Ben has a truck – send HIM to the store”) and countless mishaps creating the beautiful scenery you now see cannot be recounted without Mr. Buckley inding out. Dalia Hamilton (Rusty) is so excited for her irst leading role in a Gonzaga production. She hopes that everyone enjoys the show and sings along to all the songs they know and love. Jeanne Marie Hathway (Ethel Moore) is excited to be in her ifth show at Gonzaga. Thank you for coming! She would say more, but she’s been learning to be silent. Mharizza Hipolito (Stage Crew) is a junior at Georgetown Visitation and is thrilled to be a member of stage crew. She hopes everyone enjoys the sets and the acting. Matthew Hoffman (Stage Crew)is thrilled to partake in his fourth GDA show, and can’t wait to see what the next two years hold for him and the rest of stage crew. Ben Hoffschneider (Keyboard/Piano), a junior at Gonzaga, is playing piano in Footloose. His third GDA show, Ben did Stage Crew for 42nd street and acted in Fiddler. He hopes you enjoy the show! Mariana Jimenez-Ontiveros (Stage Crew) is a junior at Georgetown Visitation and is excited to be in her irst production in GDA. She would like to thank everyone involved in the productions. Tre Jones (Garvin) is excited to be in his irst GDA production. An 11 grader, he is also a member of Gonzaga’s varsity football and track teams. Julia Kelley (Featured Dancer) is a sophomore at Elizabeth Seton. This is her second Gonzaga show. She wants to thank GDA, her family and friends for supporting her. Henry Kiley (Bomont Kid), a freshman, is thrilled to be part of such an amazing cast in his second GDA production, and would like to give a shoutout the lobby. Phillip Kiley (Chuck Cranston), a senior, couldn’t be happier with the decisions he made. Joining the GDA freshman year and going on to do eight-for-eight shows allowed him to meet some of the most in luential people in his life: Christopher McDonnell, Peter Marcou and the rest of wobap, and, of course, Mr. Allan L’Etoile. He hopes that this senior class has instilled the same enthusiasm and energy the class of 2011 embedded in him his freshman year. We did it Brian, we made it all the way. This is junior Jonathan Kokotajlo’s (Stage Manager) 6th show with this Genuine Dramatization Assemblage. “Lord grant me the serenity to accept the cues I cannot change; courage to deal with the cues I have; and enough patience… for just about everything.” Michael L’Etoile (Bomont Kid) is excited to be in his second GDA show here at Gonzaga. Shoutout to Colleen and Theresa. Thanks mom, dad, and A-Train for everything. “But what about John Leach, the ever-ready, competence-exuding Sound Manager? Doing stage crew for 5 of his 8 shows has been a pleasure unlike any he has experienced before in his life-- out there in the dogeat-dog world, friendship and camaraderie like the GDA has is rare. 9 shows is an impossibility, and he’ll miss this place more than anything else next year. #STA.” Nora Leibold (Featured Dancer) is a senior at Visitation and is excited to be appearing in her irst GDA production. Caroline Long (Ariel Moore) is a senior. She gets around. Sad to be leaving the GDA after ive shows, but happy to be accurately representing the promiscuity of southern 80’s youth. A shoutout to the endless love and support from her Volvo, Sebastian. Another shoutout to Ren for being her onstage beau and Bickle for being her offstage one, am I right ladies? She owes all of her accomplishments to Patty and Jay. Long live Joan Rivers. Mic drop.

Stephanie Lushniak (Kimberly) is a sophomore at Visitation and is thrilled to be in her third show with the GDA. She’s thankful for everyone who participated in Footloose and is wondering if anyone has seen Tre? Holden Madison (Stage Crew) is in his third production with the GDA and is thrilled to be on Stage Crew. He would like to thank Mr. Duffy for this cool experience. Enjoy Footloose! Carrie Mahoney (Featured Dancer) is a junior at Visitation and is excited to be in her irst show at Gonzaga. Shout out to SPS! Madeline Maloney (Bomont Adult) is in her 5th show now. Thank you for coming. Her favorite thing about her Uncle John is his effervescent smile which was passed on to his daughter Maggie Maloney. Maggie Maloney’s (Bomont Adult) probation of icer said GDA or in-house treatment, hence the reason she is here. Sarah Mangan (Stage Crew) is junior at AHC and is excited to be a part of her irst show at the GDA. Long live Jimmy and Jen. When Peter Marcou (Willard Hewitt) isn’t sipping a refreshing Coca-Cola product while watching the quality programming one can only ind on BBC America, he’s out with his friends enjoying a ine meal at his local Ruth’s Chris Steak House while sporting some trendy new Air Jordans. Either that or rehearsing the show Footloose, which he is elated to be in. He also enjoys all the beauty West Virginia has to offer. West Virginia: Wild and Wonderful! Fernando Mata (Bomont Adult) thanks PJ Champ, his parents, P. Buckley, and Iggy for getting him out of the loving care of Coach Maddox’s track team and into GDA. Ignacio Mata (Stage Crew) is glad to work in his irst production on stage crew. He was inspired to do so after watching his now favorite musical: “The Nightman Cometh.” Katie Mays (Featured Dancer) is excited to be dancing in her irst GDA show. Shout out to Dustin for staying strong and holding me up. Grace McCarthy (Bomont Kid) is very excited to be involved in her fourth Gonzaga production. She is a member of the AHC improv team and ITS. Her most recent productions include Fiddler on the Roof (Ensemble) and Once Upon A Mattress (Wizard). Lots of love to her Lotas! Casey McCarthy (Stage Crew) is a junior at Gonzaga, and this is his second show being a part of the stage crew that built this amazing set. Thanks alot! Matthew McDonnell (Featured Dancer) is excited to be in his ifth show with the GDA. He would like to thank his parents and brother for their support. It’s bright. Darby McGee (Assistant Stage Manager) is a senior at Holy Child and is so excited to be a part of her 5th GDA production! She would like to give a shout out to all the seniors, her family and friends and of corse Karby! Jessica McHenry (Urleen), a junior at Georgetown Visitation, is extremely excited to be in her third musical at Gonzaga. She feels blessed to be a part of the talented GDA family. Jess will de initely miss all the seniors next year, especially “Wendy Jo”. She would like to thank Mr. L’Etoile, Mr. Buckley, and Mrs. Goldsmith for all their hard work and support! Joseph Miller (Featured Dancer) is excited for his opportunity to have Footloose as his irst Gonzaga musical and cannot wait to be a part of many more. Danielle Moni (Stage Crew) is happy to be a part of her last show at the GDA. Although she will miss the friends she has made, she looks forward to coming back and visiting.

CongratulaĆ&#x;ons to the Cast and Crew of

Love to Caroline; Mom, Dad, Maggie, Brydie, Sarah & Annie

This is Graydon Monroe’s (Light Crew) ifth show with the GDA, and he is excited to be a part of it. He thanks all the people who helped him do things. Shout-outs to whoever wants them. Yours ‘til the candy lands. Sophie Morris (Featured Dancer) is a senior. She deeply regrets waiting this long to do a GDA show (thanks SL and KF). She appreciates everyone for putting up with her incessant screeching and lailing. Extra thanks to Cambo for making her look good. Love to CL, KG, RP, TS, and the SPS for being swag. Follow her on Twitter. Brendan Oliverio (Featured Dancer), Gonzaga senior, is excited and saddened to stop “dancin’” with GDA in Footloose. He was also in 42nd Street, Fiddler on the Roof, and Taming of the Shrew. “Thanks for the support, goodbye GDA!” Richie Petitbon (Wes Warnicker) is excited to be in his irst production at Gonzaga. He will like to thank his family and the GDA for their support. Julia Pitts (Bomont Adult) is so excited to be in her irst GDA production. She is very thankful for the support of her friends and family. Shoutout to SPS! It is with a heavy heart that Michael Pullano (Jeter) is performing in his sixth and inal production in the GDA. These past four years have been quite an adventure for him, and he has loved every minute of it. He wouldn’t be where he is today without his GDA family. He would like to thank his parents for being so supportive over the years, Mrs. Goldsmith, and the man who made it all possible, Mr. L’Etoile. He would also like to give shout-outs to all of his amazing fellow seniors, Broadway Bros Dos, the carpool, the TBFC group chat, PKATH, and Katherine Glynn. Maddie Rizzo (Featured Dancer), a junior at Visitation, is making her debut on the Gonzaga stage. “Featured Dancer” was always her favorite character in the Footloose movie. Annie Ryan (Bomont Adult) knows no matter what job, character, show, or program she is especially grateful to be invovled with all the wonderful people of GDA this year. Mike Seay (Loft Manager) doesn’t understand basic human social interactions, so you’ll have to forgive him, but he wants to know why every audience has exactly one guy who decides to whistle instead of clapping. Why always one? Does the audience vote who it will be beforehand so there aren’t two? This Maggie Shaheen’s (Bomont Kid) 4th show with GDA. She was previously in the casts of Noises Off and Taming of the Shrew. She was on makeup for Fiddler. She is a junior at Visitation. Julia Sheehan (Stage Crew) is a senior at AHC and is ecstatic to be participating in her irst show. She has learned to love painting bricks. She loved the experience. Footloose is Patrick Shipley’s (Wyatt) irst GDA production. As a senior he has had a blast. His only regret is that he didn’t join the GDA sooner. Carly Soistman (Bomont Kid) is extremely excited to be a part of her second show in the GDA. She wants to say thanks to her family. Shout-out to SPS and Hunter. Ryan Stanton (Lighting Manager) is ecstatic to be a part of Footloose, his sixth GDA production! He would like to thank everyone involved with the show, and to those whose time in this company is ending, thanks for making his time with you incredible. Marc-Anthony Thompson (Tenor Saxophone/Flute) is a senior member in the GDA. He is performing in his 2nd and inal production of Footloose with the GDA. Marc-Anthony would like to thank the GDA for a lifetime of memories in the Sheehy Theatre. Clay Tondreau (Cowboy Bob/Featured Dancer) is a junior and incredibly excited to be in his ifth GDA show. He would like to thank his family, the TBFC, CHA, bonny Kate, Moira the woodpecker, Kelso, and the CUA girls. He hopes you all enjoy the show and remember to cut loose!

Kevon Turner (Featured Dancer) is a featured dancer in Footloose, his second and inal show with the GDA. He’s grateful for his mother and his sister, Kaia. Logan White (Lulu Warnicker) is psyched to inally experience GDA after performing in seven shows at Georgetown Visitation. She’d like to thank everyone who made Footloose possible!! Nick Williams (Ren McCormack) feels very blessed to be the lead in his third show with the GDA. He’d like to thank his parents for tolerating his constant singing in the shower, all of his friends for always being supportive and especially you for supporting the GDA. Enjoy the show! Charlie Workmaster (Stage Crew) is excited to participate in his second GDA production with stage crew. And the best part is he is Assistant Loft Manager instead of Assistant to the Loft Manager. Nick Zaso (Stage Crew) is a sophomore and is grateful for the opportunity to help build the set of Footloose on stage crew.
