Production Bios Mr. Paul Buckley ‘86 (Producer) has worked on over 30 shows in his GDA lifetime. He is especially fond of his seniors, many of whom he has worked with for 4 years and a lifetime of memories. He thanks Meghan, Allan, Doc and Sarah for the great work they did on this. He is thrilled that JZ came aboard with her talent and passion. He is sincerely grateful to Rob for his amazing work with the stage crew these past 12 years and will miss him greatly next year. Lastly, he is eternally grateful to Monica and the kids for being the light at the end of his tunnel.
Mrs. Meghan Goldsmith (Producer) is happy to be finishing out her 10th year on the production staff, and is honored and blessed to be able to call the GDA and all it’s fabulous members, past and present, her second family. She would like to thank her fellow production staff members for their tireless efforts in putting together such an amazing show. She would especially like to thank and commend Rob on his final show for having set the bar so high during his years here, and for leaving such large shoes to fill. As always, she thanks the cast, crew and band for putting everything they have into each note and step, and she tips her hat to the best house crew in town. Finally, she would like to thank her incredible husband Dan and her adorable son Matt for being her favorite reasons to come home from rehearsals. The storied saga of Mr. Xavier Halloran ‘05 (Assistant Technical Director) twists long, from the local Washington DC, to far off realms near Philadelphia. This marks his 10th GDA production, and before waxing rhapsodic regarding performances of antiquity, he’d like to indicate that this set belongs to a select society of highly advanced construction, perhaps even the pinnacle of sets yet to grace this stage. Current hobbies include matriculating at George Washington University, in general pursuit of a Masters of Software Engineering. Additionally, he extends his gratitude towards Meghan for abiding him to print this, and the crew managers for doing what they do. Mr. Allan L’Etoile ‘73 (Director) has directed here a long time and really likes working with all the kids. Because he gets to work with them, he is very happy and thinks he has the best job in the world.
Ms. Sarah Miller (Assistant Director) feels blessed, excited, and proud to be a part of Kiss Me, Kate. She has been involved with theater for ages and particularly loves all things relating to Shakespeare (just ask her students). Congratulations and “break legs” to the cast; many thanks to the parents and supporters; and a special note of gratitude to Allan, Rob, Paul, Meghan, Doc, and JZ. As always, go Irish.
This is Mr. Robert Theriaque’s (Technical Director) 20th and final production with the GDA. He would like to thank Kevin, Will, Reed, Lizzie and the rest of the crew for their hard work on this show. He would also like to take a moment to thank all those who made these 20 productions memorable. Thank you to Mr. L’Etoile, who never saw a set he couldn’t modify. Thank you to Mrs. Goldsmith who helped to maintain sanity behind the scenes. Thank you to Mr. Buckley who always managed to pay the bills with only a moderate amount of complaining. Thank you to Doc who always supported the Stage Crew. Thank you to all the parents who offered such kind words and support for every production. Thank you to over 300 young men and women who worked tirelessly to build, light and manage some of the most incredible sets to ever distinguish a high school stage. He would also like to offer one final public thank you to his wife Teresa, whose love and support did far more than anyone realizes to make these 20 shows possible. Dr. John C. Warman ’57 (Musical Director) is back for his seventieth show in the Gonzaga Theatre. As a student he appeared in the Mission Variety Shows of 1956 and 1957, and as a faculty member has been involved in the production, direction, and musical direction of Oedipus Rex (1967), two alumni revues (1996 and 2006), and sixty-five productions of fifty-one different musicals (1968 to the present). He is a teacher of Greek and Latin by day and an organist and choirmaster on weekends. In 1999 he was inducted into the Gonzaga Theatre Hall of Fame as its inaugural member. Ms. JZ Zaeske (Choreographer) Theater On the Hill: Oklahoma (assistant choreographer); Steel Beam Theater Children’s Theater: 12 Dancing Princesses, Robin Hood, The Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Over the Tracks (guest choreographer); Catholic University: Requiem, Pure Alignment Showcase, Sean Burn’s Junior Recital, Enchantress; Limelight Theater and 1st Stage: The Last Five Years (guest choreographer); Gonzaga High School: Kiss Me, Kate. Sophomore Musical Theater Major at CUA.
Congratulations Elizabeth! You’ve hit new heights with the GDA and we are so proud of you! Love, Dad, Mom, Christine, Jimmy (‘07) and Maggie A.M.D.G. Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of Kiss Me, Kate and Thank you to Mr. Buckley, Mr. L’Etoile, Mr. Theriaque, Mrs. Goldsmith, Ms. Miller, Ms. Zaeske & Mr. Halloran for your dedication and commitment to the GDA. Khary Anderson (Stage Crew) is an esteemed member of the crew and senior class. This is his fourth and, sadly, final GDA production. He will truly miss his fellow crew members and Mr. Theriaque. He wants to dedicate his many hours of hard work to Andrew Ravenscroft.
Timmy Anderson (Stage Crew) is a senior at Gonzaga. He has been a part of the GDA stage crew for the past three productions and is excited to return for Kiss Me, Kate. This is Andrew August’s (Stage Crew) sixth show with the GDA. As selfappointed “Morale Manager,” he hopes that everybody reading this is having an absolutely fantastic time. He’d like to thank Explosions In the Sky, crunchy beef tacos, mountain dew, Batman, and esteemed morale minion Christian Forte.
Kitty Baker (Ensemble) is currently a junior at Visitation. This is her first Gonzaga show. She would like to thank her parents for telling her to try out.
Gabriella Barbuto (Ensemble) is a freshman at AHC and is excited to be in her first Gonzaga production. She wants to thank her family and friends and wish the cast “Good luck!” Joe Barron (Stage Crew) is attending Gonzaga, and is part of the year 2013. This is his first year, and hopefully not his last. Jimmy Beh (Ensemble) would like to thank his friends and family for being supportive, loving, and understanding throughout his time in the GDA. He would also like to give a special thanks to Mr. Buckley and Mr. L’Etoile for being understanding and pushing him to be a better actor and more importantly a better person. He would also like to give a shout out to both his carpool and his “family!” Love you guys. Joe Boston (Fred Graham) is unbelievably stoked to be in another show on the Gonzaga stage. He will forever love the GDA. Contrary to popular belief, Lizzie Connolly (Stage Crew), a Visitation senior, is actually allotted 55 words this year! She began acting for GDA (AMND, TMW, TPG) before she stepped behind the stage as a part of stage crew for C de B, LA, MAAN, and now KMK. Many thanks to Mr. L, Mr. B, the hi-hihilarious Mr. T, Meghan(!), friends, and family for such a rollicking good time! He would like to thank the fellow members of the GDA, his family for always being there for him and putting up with him, his friends, Bruce Springsteen, and God.
