Production Staff Bios Mr. Paul Buckley ‘86 (Producer) is in his 17th year of producing shows for the GDA, and little by little he is working his way through as much of Shakespeare’s repertoire as he can. He thanks Allan and Matt for being such experts in their fields that he gets to bask in their accomplishment. He thanks Meghan for not letting something like having a baby get in the way of doing what she always does for the show. Finally, he thanks his wife Monica for her support and her doing the job of both mom and often dad when he can’t be there to help with the kids. The way he sees it, [first name redacted, but not Patrick, James, Brendan, nor Michael] Duffy (Technical Director) very cautiously agreed to “help out” with Stage Crew last year because he knew how to build a few things from his years working as a fine artist but had never done anything associated with theater. To those running the GDA [names redacted], this meant he should become Technical Director, supervising 30 teenagers using power tools. Luckily the members of Stage Crew [names unknown] are awesome so very little supervision is required. He still does not know how to run any of the lights nor sound equipment but does know a few names of the students who do. He does know Karen’s name but she is still a complete mystery. His wife’s name is Lizzie, she too is awesome, a mystery, and a graduate of Georgetown Visitation. Mrs. Meghan Goldsmith (Producer) is happy, if slightly frazzled, to be beginning her 14th year as a member of the production staff. Memorable shows include Singin’ in the Rain ‘99, 42nd Street ‘02, Guys and Dolls ‘06, West Side Story ‘08 and Kiss Me Kate ‘11. She is blessed beyond words by the opportunity to continue to work with such passionate and committed adults, enthusiastic and talented students, and by far the most dedicated house crew in town, and all while enjoying this beautifully renovated space. Big thanks to her husband Dan and her son Matt for being the best husband and son she could ever ask for, and to her new daughter, Kate, for being as patient and understanding as a two-month-old can be with the demands of the GDA. Mr. Allan L’Etoile ‘73, HoF ‘12 (Director) has the best job in the world, working with young actors. He hopes they’ve had a lot of fun doing Shrew, and he thanks, especially, his wife and dog for missing him evenings when he’s at rehearsal, and Mrs. Goldsmith, who he is glad has hurried back.

Bios Aaron Aranza (Stage Crew) is a Gonzaga sophomore on stage crew. Besides keeping up his 4.12 GPA, Aaron enjoys hiking and the Walking Dead. Alex Ballestero (Stage Crew) is a freshman at Gonzaga. He is excited to be working on building sets for Taming of the Shrew. He has been involved with theater since middle school and is really enjoying working with Mr. Buckley, the cast and crew of all of the GDA members! Congratulations to all on a great job! Considered the Michelangelo of makeup, it was only destiny that Leah Barteldes (Makeup Crew) do makeup crew on her second GDA production. Love to the AHC girls. Emma Belanger (Stage Crew) is excited to be in stage crew for her second GDA show! She’d like to thank to thank Mr. Duffy and the crew for an awesome experience. Jo Belanger (Stage Crew) is excited to be in stage crew for her first GDA show! She’d like to thank to thank Mr. Duffy and the crew for an awesome experience. This is Nicholas Bennett’s (Assistant Light Manager) 7th show with the GDA. He is very glad that he could be a part of this show, and would like to thank Ryan Stanton, Christopher McDonnell, Andrew Schoenewolf, Nicholas Bennett, Mateusz Gierdalski, and Grayden Monroe. They are all wonderful human beings who do wonderful things. These people do the things that need to be done. Sam Biegun (Stage Crew) is thrilled to be partaking in his third GDA performance. He is a crafty worker on stage crew who never procrastinates. He would like to give a shout out to all his fellow workers. Derrell Bouknight (Stage Crew) is a junior participating in his seventh GDA show. Along with constructing houses and measuring plywood, he’s a writer for dcsportsfan.com and the Washington Post (check him out). He’d like to acknowledge his fellow SCREW members and everyone involved in the show, especially the seniors. Thank you all for supporting the show. Tommy Boyce (Vincentio) is excited to be in The Taming of the Shrew, his second GDA show. He is thankful to his family for everything. Patrick Brockwell (Usher) is on house crew, involved in his 3rd show, he doesn’t know if he should write this, he fell off the Warman Stage a few times, and has a brother with a sassy attitude (Harrison ‘13). Kyle Brown (Stage Crew) is proud to be participating in GDA for the first time! Peter Brown (House Crew) is excited to be on house crew for the first time. Liam Burke (Phillip) is currently in his third show in the GDA and his first time being an actor. He would like to thank Mr. L’Etoile and Mr. Buckley for this incredible experience. Paul Campion (House Manager) has worked tirelessly, clawing up the ladder to become your House Manager. But, he has discovered that he really just wants to dance, ahhem Mr. L. He has a question for his partner in crime, Sir Johan Cruzer: before these newfangled bow ties, what was proper house crew attire? Reno Carlitti (Tailor) is a senior and would like to thank Mr. L’Etoile and Doctor Warman for their tutelage in the performing arts. Reno is proud to have them as his mentors and is ecstatic to be in this show. Colin Carmody (Stage Crew), a Gonzaga freshman, is excited to be on stage crew in his first GDA production! He hopes to participate in Footloose this spring. Elias “Alaska” Christian (Biondello/Priest) is thankful for the opportunity to work with the amazing cast and crew of The Taming of the Shrew for his first GDA show. Brian Claeys (Merchant): “Silent Brian, holy Brian, all is Brian, all is Brian. Round yon Brian, Brian, Brian. Holy Brian’s so Brian, Brian. Sleep in heavenly Brian, Brian. Sleep in heavenly Brian. Sincerely, Brian Claeys.”

Congratulations to the cast, crew & production staff of

Break a Leg! From the Cooney Family

Here’s looking at you, kid! (Jeanne Marie Hathway) Your Loving Family: Joe, Jude, James, Timmy, Mary Grace, Mom & Dad

Even though he desperately misses Jack Joyce, Joseph Cooney (Gremio) is simply euphoric to be performing in The Taming of the Shrew. In all seriousness, he would like to thank the cast for being such great people. John Cruser (House Manager) wants to tell Professor Paoul the history of House Crew: He says before Brad and Quinn, the house wore some iteration of a tee-shirt tucked into jeans. John hopes to continue the new tradition of the spiffy purple and white bow ties with Paul. Joseph de Lorimier (Ensemble) was discovered at a local under-21 karaoke bar by Mr. L’Etoile, who remarked “He MUST audition. That spirit is contagious.” Joe, who didn’t want to break up his boy band duet, was reluctant at first. However, upon searching his soul, he decided this had the potential to be a major breakthrough. To avoid hurting the other singer, Joe told him that Mr. L’Etoile had been interested in his background singing. The disillusioned competitor accompanied Joe to the audition and secured a minor role. By his admirers, Joe has been called “the greatest discovery since banana bread.” Sophia DeLoatche (Makeup Crew) is a sophomore at Bishop Ireton, where she also does costuming and makeup. She hopes you enjoy the show! This is Isabelle DiRita’s (Grumio) second show in the GDA since last year’s Fiddler on the Roof (Yente). She is a junior at Visitation. Ben Dunbar (Ensemble) was discovered at a Karaoke Night by a local director. When requested by the director to come audition, he gladly accepted. Any opportunity to get away from his boy band (which was “dragging him down”) was jumped at by the handsome and ambitious Dunbar. Says the up and coming star, “this is only the beginning.” This is Amelia Eggerton’s (Katherine) second show with the GDA. She thanks her cast mates for their friendship and hard work, and hopes you enjoy the show!! Kelsey Ferrick (Assistant Stage Manager) is a senior at Holy Cross. She wants to thank all of the members of the GDA for the wonderful experience. She can’t wait for everyone to see this amazing performance. Clare Finnell (Makeup Crew) is excited to be doing makeup in Taming of the Shrew. This is her 3rd GDA production (2nd time being on makeup crew).Clare thanks her sister, Bridget, for introducing her to GDA. Roxanne Fisher (Bianca) is thrilled to be in her 3rd GDA production. She has previously been seen as Bielka in Fiddler on the Roof and also performed in the One Acts. Mateusz Gierdalski (A/V Manager) is very ecstatic to be in his second show, and this time as a manager. He thanks to all who got him here. Kate Glynn (Makeup Crew) is a senior at Holy Child and it is her second show! She loves the GDA and is so excited about doing hair and makeup for the show! Michael Gold (Assistant House Manager) is a Gonzaga junior, serving you as Assistant House Manager. He encourages each guest to recycle this playbill to help save the whales, because we all love whales. Will Gorman (Nathaniel) is a junior (not a freshman) in his second show with the GDA. He’ll potentially still be sick when you read this, but that’s okay. Ben Gossart (Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of his first show in GDA, and thanks the cast and directors for everything. Grace Goulding (Servant) hath been flummoxed to participate hither at the GDA once more, and wishes to offer endless thanks to Mr. L’Etoile, Buckley, Clong, and her Fasza Zsonglorkodos villam picsas. Hope thou doth enjoyeth the show! Patrick Grant (Hortensio) is a senior in his second GDA show. Jalen Greene (House Crew) is a freshman at Gonzaga College High School. He is excited to be a part of the house crew for The Taming of the Shrew.

Kayla Gwiazda (Ensemble) is thankful to be in her third GDA show. She’d like to thank her parents, the Tommy Boyce Fan Club and the 2015 seniors, her Ireton squad, everyone involved in the show, and you. Yes, you! Benjamin Hadinger (Stage Crew) is happily out of sight (but not out of mind) for his fifth GDA nonappearance on stage crew. Ben enjoys bringing sets to life and lets his work speak for itself. He thanks Gonzaga for the massive new prop storage space under Buchanan field. Dalia Hamilton (Josephina, New Bae) is very excited to be a part of her third Gonzaga production, which is also her first Shakespeare play. She hopes everyone enjoys the show and has a great time. Jeanne Marie Hathway (Tranio) is excited to be in her fourth Gonzaga show. Don’t be alarmed by the size of her eyes. They’re supposed to look like that. And don’t worry, she’s had them checked out. Mharizza Hipolito (Stage Crew) is excited to be on stage crew for her first GDA show. She gives thanks to Nick W. and her friends for encouraging her to join. Matthew Hoffman (Stage Crew) is thrilled to be a part of his third GDA production, but still cannot decide how to fill a 35-word bio for the playbill. In short, he thanks everyone for all the memories! Henry Kiley (Ensemble), a freshman, is thrilled to join the GDA Family and thanks all of the upperclassmen for making him part of this amazing experience. For 4 straight years now, Mr. L’Etoile has been charitable enough to keep casting Phil Kiley (Baptista Minola) in his shows. Chris McDonnell, Peter Marcou, Brian Claeys, Joe Cooney, Pat Grant, Michael Pullano, Nick Williams, Matt McDonnell, Clay Tondreau, Henry Kiley, and Chris McDonnell. wobap, ACCEL, PKATH, WRTOINS, LoC. This is junior Jonathan Kokotajlo’s (Stage Manager) 5th show with the GDA Stage Crew; in the deiform words of Tolkien: “Gi nathlam hí! No veren! Pedin i phith in aníron, a nin ú-cheniathagir!” But considerable and cordial thanks to all this year’s Crew for fantastic productivity. Will Larroca (House Crew) is a sophomore at Gonzaga, and this is his third Gonzaga production. Taming of the Shrew marks John Leach’s (Sound Manager) seventh production with the GDA. As a senior, he likes above all else lazing around doing nothing, so theoretically he should hate his job as Sound Manager. He would like to thank his parents, teachers, and the rest of the cast and crew. He hopes you enjoy the show as much as he enjoys being Sound Manager. Michael L’Etoile (Ensemble) is excited to be in his first GDA production! He would like to thank A-train for everything and shout-out to mom and dad. Caroline Long (Ensemble) is happy to be involved in her 4th show with the GDA. She would like to thank Mr. Leeatoll and Buckley for their work on another grand show; shout out to her sen1or5, the Volvo carpool, and the eternal clique. Stephanie Lushniak (Ensemble) is ecstatic to be in her second show at Gonzaga! She was in Fiddler on the Roof last spring. She would like to thank everyone who worked on the show. Madeline Maloney (Ensemble) is at the halfway mark of her GDA career and has written a lot about herself in previous bios. At this point, she’d like to know what the audience member that reads this is up to. So, tell me about yourself. Maggie (not to be confused with Madeline) Maloney (Ensemble) would like to thank Joseph Cooney for writing her bio for the second consecutive year. She is simply too busy focusing on her modeling/cross country career to write it herself. Peter Marcou (Lucentio/Cambio) plays both the roles of Lucentio and Cambio, and don’t worry, you will be confused. Not only does he pose as multiple characters, but a few others do, as well. In addition to this, the play in general is decently convoluted, and the Shakespearean language does not help. So sit back, relax, and get ready to whisper “is that character new? Have we seen him before?” to your neighbor.

He gives a special thanks to Karen, who is always uplifting. “01010011 01010111 01000001 01000111” -Karen This is Maggie “Mems” Shaheen’s (Ensemble) third show. Please enjoy your stay.” Ryan Stanton (Lighting Manager) is a junior in his fifth GDA production! He would like to thank the actors and stage crew for promoting his creativity in the shows and his family and Gonzaga for the opportunity to participate in such a quirky place. Clay Tondreau (Petruchio) is very excited to be in his fourth Gonzaga production. He would like to thank his family, friends, and the Tommy Boyce Fan Club. He hopes you all enjoy the show and aren’t so bored that you’re reading this while he tames the Shrew.

Kevon Turner’s (Nicholas) pretty pumped to know this cast and crew. He plays the part of Nicholas in Taming of the Shrew. Ethan Weisberg (House Crew) is a senior at Gonzaga and this will be his third show with GDA. He was in stage crew for “Noises Off” and “Fiddler on the Roof” and is excited to be part of house crew for the first time! Thanks Emma! Nick Williams (Ensemble) is very excited for his second GDA performance. He would like to thank you for your continued support of GDA.
